Ok switch lite player here, shame I missed the livestream.
1. The controls are genuinely dog shit coming from PC it hurts.
2. Thing don’t look so bad on a switch lite with a smaller screen
3. You ain’t trippin the characters run slow unless you mash the A button you can change that in settings.
4. I bought this game brand new along with the DE PC version, I regret both.
GTA3 Defective Edition just looks like someone took the whole game and threw it into an AI Upscaler and poured shine over anything with a reflective surface
Also, how long before honest to goodness instapasses get fully implemented into GTA3 DE runs to the same level that they are in original Any% runs

I'll assume it was never answered but in DE I believe tap to sprint is enabled by default. Holding sprint will have claude run in slow motion.

The controls are actually just like most games. I think you didn't figure out because you are primarily a PC player and don't play games on consoles. But overall if the switch is the only platform someone has then this is unfortunately the only option it seems to play these GTA games.
if they give us the Netflix versions of the game then people wouldn't hate the definitive as much
Ben casually flying the dodo better in DE on Switch than I can manage in the absolute best conditions is pretty sad.
It would be fun to see you play Batman Arkham Knight on Switch. That's probably the ultimate bad Switch port ever made.

Switch has not that limited hardware. It at least would not struggle to successfully run PS3 games. It just would not hold up compared to PS5/4.
But look on Zelda and Xenoblade chronicles 3 we can see that it still can produce nice running good looking games if you put the effort into it.
It surely should not struggle to play GTA 3.
the best thing about this game is that it was compatible with Linux out of the box since day one, it is a BAD port, but not that absolutely bad, you can plsy it on a steam deck just fine, but should you?

Giraffes are actually really scary; their kicks can outright decapitate lions apparently. I'm not sure trying to attack one would be a great idea lol

no matter how many times I am looking at de trilogy, I still being amazed by how garbage it is on every level.
I know a lot of people saying that war drum studios didn't have time and resources to make better remasters, but they didn't even try and it shows. even after patches its still garbage and they never intended to make it good in first place.
I would say they spent all resources and time on porting the games to unreal engine 4. thats why its full of bugs and looks dogshit. they didn't fix the issues that happen when changing engines. skill issue wanting to change engines in the first place
@@Karthik-pn2yj right. like if they were competent and given the time and resources, they could've taken the code from LCS and VCS. Those were the ps2 era engine, but using something rockstar created inhouse rather than the renderware graphics code.
I like to imagine if they built a version of the engine which supports the distinct features of all the games, then ported the art assets to that. It would make much more sense than this unreal 4 clusterfuck
The biggest crime with this was porting the games over to the Unreal engine. I get they may not have the rights or ability to use Renderware anymore, but surely R* could have let them use RAGE?
Rage would require experts, Unreal reuires youtube tutorials. That's why.

3 is somehow worse than VC and SA on Switch.
Maybe because its the less played gta from the trilogy i guess, they poured a little more gas onto gta sa and vc but the games still sucked lol.

If it weren't for my urge to have GTA:SA on the go and the gyro controls, I wouldn't have bought it. Even though I knew it wasn't a good remaster going in and played through the worst version of this bad remaster collection, I for some reason enjoyed it despite it's very glaring issues.
Driver 3 released in 2004 legit has better graphics than this.
It's actually crazy how bad it looks on the Switch. The only time I've kinda enjoyed DE is the new Netflix mobile versions - if you're gonna play GTA3 on mobile for some cursed reason, I think it actually does look better than the original Mobile version since they added back classic lighting, but the random frame drops is still pitiful for a "remaster" of a 25 year old game
Depressingly Definitive Edition is the better veraion of 3 and VC for PC because the Steam Version (Trilogy) is utterly broken

RDR 1 is a really "light" game though
could have saved your money and asked if anyone had the game digitally to help you out LOL (I would have offered to let you use my nintendo account to get the game and play it)
You should have got the game on any console except the switch. I got it on ps4 and it's better than the switch, but the game is still dog sh**t though, still fun to play anyway, but much rather play the original ps2 or xbox version.

They knew they didn't fill the quota and ruin enough features for the release, so they ruined sprinting and the controls to keep expectations pitifully low for the future.
I deleted this shit coz I couldnt handle how bad it was and the slowmo running just tipped me over. Not to mention how bad VC is on switch. My phone emulates the ps2 og games at full speed, its a way better way to play the series portable.
For the plane crash on console, it wouldn't surprise me if they never actually tested the game on console and either just built it for console and then left it at that, or only tested it on a devkit which usually have higher specs and would maybe not crash there
It's interesting nobody unpacked the DE Netflix edition and just ripped the files into the PC port.
pretty sure the netflix version is streaming so you can't download the files
@@ShadowWalker-ng1it they're downloaded I'm pretty sure, at least on android. Still, a huge pain to reverse engineer. Not worth the effort imo
The only difference is the lightning which can be fixed with mods on pc
