My locs have seen a major growth which i can be proud of and excited to see where they will get after 2 years of being Loc'd. Woah I'm maintaining my locs the same way as you are, so started out with coils + interlock and then got them interlocked again after a month and then every 3 months. I'm 5 months in now and I'm thinking of switching over to regular palm rolling after my next interlock

It’s the shrinkage and my 4c hair 😂 but once your hair starts locking up it naturally gets shorter so be prepared

@@MotivatedByE 😂🤣 I heard that it drops, meaning the shrinkage actually stops for the most part after a year. Maybe not? 😂🤣 I did record videos about my loc journey on my channel. I am glad that I loc'd my hair as I am a wiggy, always in wigs. It's still super, freakin weird for me to see my real hair without a wig.😂🤣 Can't wait to see your updates!! ❤

Just got my loc today
I see this is 2 months ago so listen up make sure for at least first 6 months don’t do any styles I know I know it’s tempting you want the curly dreads. But the more you get styles in the starter phase the more likely the will be skinny which can cause them to fall off and your not letting your hair breath. Also get a misting bottle put some water and some oils in there. Mist at least 2 times a day. The water helps hydrate your hair and the oils help keep them healthy i advise you to use water based products like jojoba oil rose water etc. and Ik you hear this a lot but BE PATIENT. And this is optional but get some hair sheen spray the olive oil is very good after you mist spray some on your hair. And since your 2 months in you could go a couple weeks before getting retwist but around the 4th month start going at least a month and once your at a year got a month and a half. Follow all these and I PROMISE YOU you’ll be straight.

There’s parts in my journey were I go without a retwist for 2/3 months so I’m dealing with a lot of skrinkage, then secondly has your locs start to bud and mature you actually lose some length as the hairs lock together

really inspiring video....I've attempted a few times to grow locs..but if I don't wash my hair every other day, the dandruff becomes a problem...gotta figure out how to combat that. your journey is def inspiring.
Thank a lot bro, I’m glad this video could inspire you. Yea dandruff can be a big hurdle when trying to grow locs, which remedies have you tried so far?
@@MotivatedByE there was this dry wash method. But that didn’t work for me. I’m somewhat active so it didn’t solve anything. What I might have to do is just grow a huge Afro where I would get some length. Then loc it later, so that way even if I wash it, the hair won’t easily get untangled.
I’m hearing tea tree oil does wonders for dandruff, and semi free form would work for you a lot cause you won’t be manipulating your hair too frequently and you can wash your hair any how you want during the locking process.
