India is never an equal partner to any western countries. India is a junior partner, not Russia. Indians in general are good talkers and negotiators, while the Chinese are the opposite, the will only bow down to power. To get the Chinese occupied territory, no amount of talking will help. India has to show it muscle power, even if it is not real. Chinese will run if they convinced that India has the power.
If the Chinese are stupid, their economy will not be five times that of India. The stronger the economy, the stronger the military. China can hold it's breath under water much longer than India.
