I actually love how she goes to every guy and ends up with chuck. She knows that she doesn't need anyone else but chuck. "Everyone is just a waste of time"
That was the worst thing of the series, they shouldn't have shown her character sleeping with everyone (Nate/Carter/Jack and that loser D) especially when everyone knew Chuck and Blair would end up together. Chuck had to go thru so much pain bcoz of Blair. In season 5 after she loses her child, they should have shown how she cops with it and not how she gets into a relationship with that loser.
True..they look horrible together. The writers who thought of putting them together for an entire season, did the worst thing. Till today everyone skips s4 and s5.
I agree! They should have given it a beautiful friendship angle to show Blair that all she needed was Chuck! It's not always about dating! Friendships matter too! They could have used the friendship angle between Dan and Blair, and he should have made her realize that she belonged to Chuck
@@GL-qd6do I’m watching for the first time right now and I need help lol, what should a skip? because I’m really sick of things being dragged out this much, I have to skip all s4 and s5? or is s4 enough? and maybe tell where things started actually moving like what episode in s5 and I’ll start there, the recap should be enough for me lmao
the producers destroyed blair in season 5,i mean cmon she told chuck that she loves him and she can’t wait to spend the rest of her life with him, than couples episodes after she tells him that she is not in love with him and chooses humphrey over chuck.blair season 5 was so confusing to me
I agree, but she didn’t say she didn’t love him. She said she loved him, but not in the way he deserved. There’s a line Serena gives at her wedding that I think sums up Blair’s issue: “I know you think you can't be with Chuck because of the pact you made with God, but maybe the pact is just an excuse you're using to protect yourself from-- from the messiness and uncertainty of a life with the man you really love.” Blair was just running scared in season five. She was afraid of taking another risk because she was afraid of losing everything, like she nearly did after the car wreck. There were literally no emotional stakes with Louie or Dan. She even admits to Serena that she didn’t really love Louie that much: “I'll grow into loving Louie. I'm sure of it. And he'll never hurt me.” “He won't have to. You're hurting yourself enough by marrying him.”
Agreed! but I do think some stuff in S5 were very ooc, It's not to be a hater, I know people liked "Dair" but come on... Blair would never in a million years would even dare to think of Dan in a romantic way knowing he's not only her best friends ex but a very important one... leaving aside that Serena and Chuck became "step brothers" just image what would have happened if Serena and Chuck had something...Blair would never forgive her or him... Blair and Dan dynamic worked because the duality of their social and economic status and how with being so different they had a genuine friendship which for me the writers ruined by making Dan fall for her and not only that he seemed IN LOVE like... way more in love than when he was with Serena which made their "ending" not so realistic imo, I couldn't see how Dan suddenly realised it was Serena all this time... @@luckyDancer100
Tbh I think she deserved this she was just so two faced about their relationship when she said she loved him and then two episode later she said she didn’t like cmon
@TV 101 she didn’t say she wasn’t in love with anymore. She said she loved him, but not the way he deserved. I think she had some mixed feelings for Dan because he was there for her after her accident & divorce, and it totally confused her during her spiral.
@TV 101 here’s the quote from the actual episode: “I love you. I always will. But that doesn't mean I'm in love with you. At least not right now, not the way you need me to be, not the way you deserve.” Personally I took this to mean she loved him, but couldn’t sort out her feelings, and he deserved more than that. But I understand your point.
Blair was awful in S5. All of her "choices" didn't make any sense." Oh i love Chuck, but we can't be together because i love louis but no wait i love Chuck but i have to save his life🙄so i love louis again but wait no i love dan now but i still love Chuck but i am not in love with him. They reunite in season 5, episode 10, Riding in Town Cars With Boys. But the car crashes and Blair gets scared, so they stay apart until the first episode of season 6.
Chuck was too much. I loved them when I was younger, but older me knows that’s not healthy. Nate and Blair should have married. It’s a show though, so doesn’t matter ❤️🩹🥴
it really is such an unhealthy, unhappy relationship. It reminds me of a stockholm syndrome relationship where the victim (blair) falls for her mental and emotional abuser (chuck). She falls for him because she believes he’s the only one who will ever really love her and accept her for who she is because that’s what he’s always telling her which is really sad. It’s just so off putting to me and it’s scary that so many people idolize them so much.
I loved them when I was younger and I still love them now:) They both loved each other like no one else in the show but they sure needed to grow both as individual people and together. They are actually at their best in S6.
