Dan was the worst imo. He really thought he could take his place, and played a lot of manipulative tricks to have Blair question Chuck’s progression. Like when he released the tape & then insinuated it was Chuck. Also, when Blair was arrested and he said, “it was Chuck! I saw him there” with literally zero proof. Or lying to Serena about where Blair was after her wedding so he could look like the hero.

Nate's cousin Trip cut the brake fluid on Nate's limo so he would crash but Blair and Chuck got into Nate's Limo by mistake and they crashed and her baby died.

Blair basically lost her mind after the accident. She’s a consistent character up until the crash, and then she plummets into depression. Her personality disintegrates.

i think that either someone was trying to hurt blair and chuck on purpose by cutting their breaks or tripp tried to hurt nate by cutting his breaks but tripp cut the wrong car
Dan is way better person than Chuck or anyone else. He saved Nates newspaper, gave him a home, helped Blair and helped her be happy although he was in love with her, he did wrote some bad thing but it was the truth. And for sure Chuck did things that were way worse. He traded Blair for a hotel, basically killed his father, hurt Blair ( mentally and physically), ruined everyone Blair was with. So please don’t come up with this shit. Pretty sure you are just a 12 year old toxic fangirl
I think the pregnancy plot line was a way to keep Chuck/Blair apart for another season. I think Chuck would’ve stepped up to the plate with being a father, but I image the writers were always going to have Blair’s pregnancy end prematurely so that she could spiral for most of S5. It’s akin to what Chuck did when his dad “died” in S2. He pushed Blair away and ran away to an opium den for a few months. When he got back, he was so unstable he tried to jump off a roof, etc. Here we see Blair’s pregnancy loss as an excuse to push her friends and family away. She leans on Dan as a way of moving on, when in reality it’s clear she’s just trying to hide the pain of losing her baby in another relationship.
I think they are saying it was a combo of the paparazzi and mechanical failure. they show that the car was leaking breaker fluid before hand to set up that it eventually wouldn’t be able to stop.
