Well played bro. I think at 15:09 its not necessarily what you did wrong but I think if you were more behind the shuttle and was able to get up higher it would have increased the percentage chance of it landing in. Id say you have a more consistent chance of hitting those cross court shots if your body is in a better position, jumping forwards to hit instead of playing a cross court while your still going backwards and the shuttle contact point being a bit behind you. Could even possibly try hartono footwork, feels like your dancing kinda. Was just unlucky tbh. Keep up the good stuff bro.

Definitely agree with your comment about the contact point and hitting when the shuttle is behind me. I tend to do that! My footwork is yucky haha, I do practice footwork but in a real game I just revert back to old habits haha. Thanks for the comment!

15:06 I think what happened is that your opponent first made a bad lift which made come too far forward in the court during the follow up, which made it difficult for you to get in position afterwards even though you made a very correct movement backwards. I think you had correct shot choice aswell but you have to move court center a tiny bit back generally i think in order to get a good angle on the lift (which in my opinion was very attackable given the height). The follow up afterwards is also essential so make sure to not have too much movement backwards when initiating the attack

Thanks! That’s really good insight and a good point. I’ll make sure to take that into consideration. Someone else also told me that I could think about using a different footwork such as a overhead jump out so that my body isn’t actually rotated which could be another option

15:11 what you did wrong is that the shuttle landed on the outside of the court ;) but seriously though, at the shuttle height it would probably be better to just do backhand jump-out instead of kick through
