County player here. I find that pinning the guy in the backhand corner is pretty effective, or exposing the other woman by keeping her stuck at the back/away from controlling the net.
Yup definitely a good tactic! it can be difficult if the opponents know how to keep the girl at the front and the guy at the back. I definitely could have targeted our opponents backhand a bit more!
Amazing video, few questions: At 7:04 you mention that it's your mistake that you've stepped away from the net. But wouldn't make sense for your partner to step in to the net, so you can cover the back and she can cover the front? Like the situation at 8:39? Also at 9:07, since your cross court punch clear was so good, you could have moved more forward and then that loose drop could have been punished?
Hey thanks for the comment! I guess it would make sense! but at the end of the day it is also just what you and your partner is comfortable with. I definitely would prefer to play more from the back and leave the front to the girl because of her good touch. (Also at 9:07 I'm the guy on the other side of the court haha)

@@WaynesBaddy yep sorry I've checked the wrong drop, and mixed up the sides. Yes at 9:15 your partner should have already forward as the opponent reached the shuttle well under net. She stuck a defense position for some reason. Sorry, yes that was your partner's drop.
love the commentary! When I play mixed I like the lady to get to the net first and really hunt it (like all or nothing). Since the other teams don't like to lift, you're going get a lot of flat game so you win the net, you win the game.
