All things in existence has consciousness. Consciousness is LITERALLY the thing that everything is formed out of.
Look at it this way, if plants can literally see us and humans are literally related to pine trees, electrons are conscious even though they may not be “human” conscious.
It’s kind of like thinking animals have no consciousness/soul because they’re “animals”, or black people (which was very much a thing at one point(.

Very nice execution, great job! I know some are criticizing the center LED choice, I do think the curved forms of the fiber cylinders is contrasting the rest of the piece's grid like style (which isn't a bad thing, just a contrast). If you ever revise this or create a similar one I would check out some volumetric LED cubes, to sync the cube LEDs with the waveform of the audio would be really cool.

Holy nylocks batman! Great form-from-function work here. I was expecting that shape in the middle to actually move and not be static light pipes, but it still looks great. The only ways I can think of getting it to move in three dimensions would be a spinning/oscillating volumetric display (noisy), or a stack of OLED panels (Sean Hodgins did one but you’d either need big panels or some strange optics). Maybe just two or three degrees of freedom for a moving light pipes would be interesting enough.
