These are facts. She loves him early on. He has trouble accept himself and accepting he's worthy of her. He feels he's let her down considerably over the years where the exact opposite is true.

For all that chapter he always stood by her and protected her.

There’s legit sexual tension between these two. It’s not just because they’re two attractive people, like you see in some movies or shows. You can tell there is something there. I’m not saying it as a shipper but as an observer.
Both of them are always reaching out for each other and I love it. Near the boss fight at the end, when Cloud almost fell off, Tifa reached out and grabbed Cloud's arm again then Barret came to help.

It's not just "a romantic scene"... It's Tifa thinking about all the people who died and thanking them for all the support and the help they gave her (when she asks Cloud if the stars are gonna see how much they are fighting). It's Cloud saying that he heard Tifa's voice screaming his name in the lifestream and because of that saved her. He's also thanking her back for saving his mind, It's not just a love confession, It's like a second promise in which they agree that they will always stay together against every adversity, every obstacle, because it doesn't matter if the others won't join, they are gonna fight for and with each other, because as Cloud tells Tifa "that is what you taught me in the lifestream, as long as we have each other we will always keep on fighting".
Yeah the subtitles are from the adaptation not really a translation of what they are saying. Sometimes they're 100% accurate (You're crazy! is a good way to translate what he said) and sometimes it's an adaptation that may or may not distort a character's personality. Tifa responds "We both" to the "you're crazy" and just tells him to leave it as it is.

2:52 OMG when she says his name his response is "huh?" full of comfort. like he wanted to hold her a little longer, as if he had been waiting for this his whole life.. it gives me butterflies every time. and then he "woke up" because he hugs her too tightly... a soft hug would be an act of friendly support, but here he really broke down his mental barriers to allow himself to hug her the way he wanted. and then, when he let her go, he shook his head with a confused look on his face, like “did this really happen?” as if he condemned himself for what he had done, that he allowed himself to give in to the feeling and ended up hurting her. definitely my favorite scene that showed the real inner struggle in the character.
Its even 100x times better now that we know they kissed in rebirth They really take their romance to the next level. I wonder what’s gonna happen in the next game
@@jweeb I realised that in remake devs got us a huge hint about a relationship with Aerith ("You can't fall in love with me"). I thought is was only about Aerith's death (bc i played the original game and knew the plot + there was Cloud's hallucination about it). And now in rebirth CloTi is definitely an official canon. It was a big astonishment for me. CloTi-fans were right from the beginning. I'm so happy and proud of my "inner insticts" that they felt this "magic" between them while playing the remake. It wasn't a coincidence. Who knows, maybe we'll see CloTi and Zerith weddings in part 3 (I hope at least).

5:08 The moment worldwide where in private all Cleriths knew their Dream ship was over They can talk about the Clerith Resolution scene all they want but this saving scene with Tifa and Cloud sealed the deal for the future in the Remake imo. They could've done it like the OG where Cloud didnt need saving or have Aerith the one to save him here or even a bromance save by Barrett....but they went with Tifa for a important reason and not just to reaffirm their "friendship"....that moment signalfied they're becoming much more

Hate to tell you this but this video at 5:10 pretty much clinches it for Cloti. There’s a reason why they focused in on Cloud clinching Tifa’s arm hard other than fan service. They could’ve done this scene like OG where Tifa isnt on the roof saving him...it’s foreshadowing for Cloti IMO. And there’s more such as Aeirth telling Cloud these flowers are given to lovers when they are reunited....Cloud sees Tifa for the first time in years and gives her the flower, another check for Cloti. Aerith sees the flower in the bar later and smiles, like she knew he would give it to Tifa. I get that you are a Cloith fan and I can respect that but to me it’s clear that in Part 1 Cloti is Endgame.
Aerith knows what happened in the OG game and realises cloud has feelings for her so when she gave him that flower, she meant it because they loved each other before
The things is i saw i feel like aerith ship cloti. She seem like to keep teasing them. But at the end of journey where the part zack alive and dragging cloud the camera focus on her and zack and she say she missed the sky give a lot hint that she might be end up with zack again.
What i dont understand at 4:20 is that Tifa seems to lean forward trying to save Barret when in og she can pick up a damn monster 😂 which makes me question the remake, did they lower Tifas strength to make her appear like shes a damsel in distress? Because if she gets kidnapped or something she wont be strong enough to hold them back on their own right? 👀
That made her even more reasonable, she was just an ordinary girl with a martial art ability to fight, not a muscular girl with superhuman strength. She is strong does not mean she can lift all heavy loads, both people and monsters
I think at that point Tifa was just touching the ground in miliseconds while dragging Barret up, which means she has no fulcrum in that mean time. So she leaned forward a bit as a result of a normal physics phenomenon. If giving her more seconds, I bet she can drag him up with her own strength (because she already has enough time to build her fulcrum). And I more believe that Cloud would not let her do it by her own. You know the reason right? :)) He is worried about her safety, so he would obviously go straight to help her out. In the next scene you can see Tifa can grip Cloud's hand while him holding his buster sword, and again we don't need to doubt about how hefty it is right?

It's not just "a romantic scene"...
It's Tifa thinking about all the people who died and thanking them for all the support and the help they gave her (when she asks Cloud if the stars are gonna see how much they are fighting).
It's Cloud saying that he heard Tifa's voice screaming his name in the lifestream and because of that saved her. He's also thanking her back for saving his mind, It's not just a love confession, It's like a second promise in which they agree that they will always stay together against every adversity, every obstacle, because it doesn't matter if the others won't join, they are gonna fight for and with each other, because as Cloud tells Tifa "that is what you taught me in the lifestream, as long as we have each other we will always keep on fighting".

Yeah the subtitles are from the adaptation not really a translation of what they are saying.
Sometimes they're 100% accurate (You're crazy! is a good way to translate what he said) and sometimes it's an adaptation that may or may not distort a character's personality. Tifa responds "We both" to the "you're crazy" and just tells him to leave it as it is.

2:52 OMG when she says his name his response is "huh?" full of comfort. like he wanted to hold her a little longer, as if he had been waiting for this his whole life.. it gives me butterflies every time. and then he "woke up" because he hugs her too tightly... a soft hug would be an act of friendly support, but here he really broke down his mental barriers to allow himself to hug her the way he wanted. and then, when he let her go, he shook his head with a confused look on his face, like “did this really happen?” as if he condemned himself for what he had done, that he allowed himself to give in to the feeling and ended up hurting her. definitely my favorite scene that showed the real inner struggle in the character.

@@jweeb I realised that in remake devs got us a huge hint about a relationship with Aerith ("You can't fall in love with me"). I thought is was only about Aerith's death (bc i played the original game and knew the plot + there was Cloud's hallucination about it). And now in rebirth CloTi is definitely an official canon. It was a big astonishment for me. CloTi-fans were right from the beginning. I'm so happy and proud of my "inner insticts" that they felt this "magic" between them while playing the remake. It wasn't a coincidence. Who knows, maybe we'll see CloTi and Zerith weddings in part 3 (I hope at least).

Hate to tell you this but this video at 5:10 pretty much clinches it for Cloti. There’s a reason why they focused in on Cloud clinching Tifa’s arm hard other than fan service. They could’ve done this scene like OG where Tifa isnt on the roof saving him...it’s foreshadowing for Cloti IMO. And there’s more such as Aeirth telling Cloud these flowers are given to lovers when they are reunited....Cloud sees Tifa for the first time in years and gives her the flower, another check for Cloti. Aerith sees the flower in the bar later and smiles, like she knew he would give it to Tifa. I get that you are a Cloith fan and I can respect that but to me it’s clear that in Part 1 Cloti is Endgame.
Aerith knows what happened in the OG game and realises cloud has feelings for her so when she gave him that flower, she meant it because they loved each other before

What i dont understand at 4:20 is that Tifa seems to lean forward trying to save Barret when in og she can pick up a damn monster 😂 which makes me question the remake, did they lower Tifas strength to make her appear like shes a damsel in distress? Because if she gets kidnapped or something she wont be strong enough to hold them back on their own right? 👀
She destroyed a stone ball, of course shes strong. sometimes I think shes stronger than cloud XD
That made her even more reasonable, she was just an ordinary girl with a martial art ability to fight, not a muscular girl with superhuman strength. She is strong does not mean she can lift all heavy loads, both people and monsters
I think at that point Tifa was just touching the ground in miliseconds while dragging Barret up, which means she has no fulcrum in that mean time. So she leaned forward a bit as a result of a normal physics phenomenon.
If giving her more seconds, I bet she can drag him up with her own strength (because she already has enough time to build her fulcrum).
And I more believe that Cloud would not let her do it by her own. You know the reason right? :)) He is worried about her safety, so he would obviously go straight to help her out.
In the next scene you can see Tifa can grip Cloud's hand while him holding his buster sword, and again we don't need to doubt about how hefty it is right?

Most of the scenes in which they have skinship aren't even optional and they are not related to choices that you made in the game. That is basically what you get, they are there because they have to, not for the affection that you give to the girls.
