TORQUE is fast and the furious with motorbikes directed by Joseph Kahn famous for music videos he won a grammy for Eminem without me he's worked with everybody from Britney spears to snoop dog
when Tokyo Drift first came out the same feeling about it was not very loved but with time when folks got to 7 everything comes together in full circular motion towards Tokyo Drift, and they realized that Tokyo Drift is truly about someone/something else and that is where the love for this movie started to come around.
My favorite fast n furious movie broke my heart that y'all didn't like it that much but yeah great reaction also it would be cool if you made another haunted house investigation video like last year for the spooky season💯
His story is very interesting, he basically invented drifting at the mountains. There was another older racer that did similar things which he pulled inspiration from but he definitely brought it further.
Fun Fact: While filming Tokyo Drift, they couldn't get a permit to film a scene in Japan. They filmed it anyway, so the studio hired a fall guy who claimed to be the director and spent a night in jail. The majority of this movie is filmed in LA
And the craziest part is that it’s the scene where they drift through the crowded intersection in Shibuya! Some of that crowd were part of the film but some were really just Tokyo residents.
Craig Lieberman, who was a technical designer for the first two F&F films made a video on his channel on this exact subject. Talking about how majority of Tokyo Drift was filmed in LA
This one is def my favorite in the series. Used to dislike it when it first came out but have turned around on how i felt about it and they captured what made these movies so great.

Fun Fact: Justin Lin the director of Fast 3-6 brought Han (and Sung Kang) from his movie Better Luck Tomorrow (2002) which features a young Han was retconed into being his origin story and is canon to F&F
People like this movie the most because it’s the most grounded. The racing and stunts are all realistic and doable. Sean is a fish out of water and his struggle to learn drifting compared to American drag racing is a foil to his struggles adjusting to the Japanese culture. It also helps that the cars are done more tastefully and don’t look as cringy as the cars in the first two movies.

For Fast and the Furious, you can watch them in release order if you want. The only one that's out of place, is this movie. And the only reason it's out of place is because they retconned some stuff later down the line. If you watch this one later, that's fine. If you watch it now, it's also fine. The song of the final credits is just by pure nostalgia. It is one of the main themes of the best NFS game of the time. Additionally NFS Carbon came out shortly after this which was focused heavily on the drift scene.
This one is my favorite mostly because of Han :v But it's kinda interesting because these 3 FF movies are basically an introduction, the real "story" starts on the 4th.

This is, indeed, my favorite one, and the only one I've watched alongside 2. So hilariously enough, when Vin Diesel showed up at the end, I thought the big deal was that it was a famous actor, and not a character from the first movie
This film is just an anchor for the franchise. You’ll see how Tokyo Drift mixes in to the rest of the films. Hans death is very important. You’ll understand the significance of this, when you watch the 6th and seventh. My favorite is fast five since the actress that plays Mia is Brazilian. Fast 5 is the best out of the fast franchise.
Tokyo Drift is my favorite movie in the Fast and the Furious franchise. I'm glad you guys giving this movie a chance. Ps. Jen wearing Scarlet Witch's costume is so 🔥🔥🔥😍. Holen you're one lucky man.
Fun fact: This movie was originally supposed to release direct-to-video because Universal had no faith in it. So to help with box office draw they begged Vin Diesel to come back for the end cameo, which he agreed to obviously, but only with the stipulation that he be made producer for all future F&F movies and gain the rights to the Riddick franchise. Also the director of this one, Justin Lin, would go on to direct all subsequent movies up until 6 and returning for 9
This one is definitely one of my favourites. I love the next one probably a little better because of the lore. Just disclaimer that these movies obviously get really wacky, but honestly you appreciate it because it is just like more crazy as you go and it never gets bland
I have a real soft spot for this movie, I enjoyed it a ton when I was younger, I used to have it play in the background while I was gaming, just to have the soundtrack in my ear. I don't know if I can call it my favourite FF movie, but only because I haven't seen the latest couple of movies, and I wasn't the biggest fan of the other FF movies I've seen anyway, I think this one being so different is what appealed it to me.
I love how grounded this movie was and focused more on racing than any of the others. It was made mostly with practical effects, stunt drivers and guerrilla filmmaking. This, part 1 and 5 are my top 3.
Fun Fact - the football player in the racing scene - he played the older brother in the TV show Home Improvement with tim allen, i almost called the show TOOL TIME which was the show in the show hahah - zachery ty bryan :)
Watching it in release order is completely ok. BUT you will get why it is chronologically after 6 when you watch the entire series. Honestly, cause it is his own thing you can basically watch it whenever you want. 😉
Fun fact: Vin Diesel has made at least 120 million from the fast franchise (salary wasn't disclosed for the fourth and sixth movies) but he actually wasn't paid for his cameo in Tokyo Drift he was instead given the rights to the Riddick franchise
If I remember correctly, for the Vin Diesel cameo, the only way he agreed to appear in Tokyo Drift was if the studio gave him full control of The Riddick Franchise he starred in. Something to that effect anyway.
For the first few movies, if you watched them during their releases, NO ONE was bothered by the cast change because a "main cast" wasn't established yet. So it makes sense that this is some people's favorites, because they didn't watch Tokyo Drift thinking "I wish the main cast was here", because there was no main cast at this point. Starting at the 4th movie is when the characters start to become constant. Btw, if you're surprised by all the F&F fans not being bothered by yall's reactions, it's because we, ourselves, do not take the movies seriously. So we're not offended if you goof on it. We do too, despite loving the franchise.
I think the reason why Tokyo Drfit is some people's favorites is because it takes place between the 6th and 7th movie. You'll have to wait and see what happens in those movies in order to appreciate some aspects of the 3rd movie.
At the time this was made a Anime called Initial D, which is the story of a young man becoming a drifting legend driving on the mountain tracks of Japan, was very popular. This anime and a Japanese video series called "Best Motoring" and its offshoot "Hot Version" featured so called "Touge", where they raced tuned cars on mountain courses, using drifting techniques. One of the main people featured on those videos is the real Drift King, Keiichi Tsuchiya, who popularized drifting during his racing career. He's also in this movie as the fisherman who is commenting on Bama boys drifting skills. KT was also a technical consultant both on Initial D and this movie. So after the first two movies tried to capitalize on the street racing scene, this movie basically did the same thing for the burgeoning drifting scene. Of course after this drifting became an even bigger phenomenon in the US.
the scene with them on the mountain always hits a spot for me jss cause after watching initial d and several drifting videos like competition and simply jss drifting on the game and real life it truly is a feeling unmatched
Fun Fact: This was the first time Justin Lin directed a F&F movie. I know Justin, known him since the early 2000’s. His first film was called Better Luck Tomorrow(BLT) A lot of my friends are in that movie and some of them are in Tokyo Drift too. BUT Sung Kang, who plays Han is also in Better Luck Tomorrow. Now, in that film his character’s name is HAN! If you’ve seen BLT you know that something really bad happens in that film. Although not official, Justin considers the Han from BLT as the same Han that’s in Tokyo Drift. It’s where he would have gone after the events of BLT. I’ve always thought that was such a cool little story.
I remember when this movie first came out it got a lot of hate but after this franchise became what it is now it has given this story much love over time cuz it stuck to the racing, from here on out it’s good to go into the movies just to watch and throw all logic out the window
This movie was definitely more car/race focused which is part of the reason why me and many others think it’s the best. The stuff depicted in this film still happens in Japan today and very similar too as oppose to here in the states where street racing still happens but not as big as it was in the past. From here on out is the beginning stages of the ridiculousness. 😂
I'm glad that F3:Tokyo Drift is getting more and more love. Many seemed to count it out like it has no value at all. My 6 reasons why it rocks: 1. Coming of age story:Sean Boswell goes from a knucklehead to actually thinking before his actions. Stepping up as an man and not just becoming a better racer. 2. Drift Racing: more known to some of the world and not as much in the USA, this style of driving became more mainstream dued to this movie and made for good racing sequences. 3. Shared Universe: It's connected to the other films and we didn't know it till the end. Months later, Vin Diesel (returning as Dom and franchise producer) announced F4. 4. Video Games:at home and in the arcades, you could become part of the phenomenon. Although Dom's crew in the films were later called the Fast Family, it was in the games that they were first called "Team Furious" and I loved that name. 5. The director:Justin Lin. As the first of 5 sequels that he made, this was a good start. 6. Sung Kang as Han Seoul-Oh. Coolest of the characters introduced in this and so much more than we see. RIP to one of Japan's great screen legends, Sonny Chiba (Kamata, DK's uncle).
Holden. So funny thing about Tokyo Drift is that when it came out people hated the movie. Surprisingly it along with the first one have aged the best out of all of them. The first one and Tokyo Drift keep getting better as time goes by as opposed to other 2 or 4.
When this came out the plan for the franchise was to do an anthology series with each film being a different cast… until Vin Diesel decided he wanted to do sequels
If you like Lucas Black, he was in a television show when he was younger called American Gothic where Gary Cole plays a policeman that controls this snall town, and Sara Paulson plays Lucas' sister
As a long time watcher, first I want to say how much I love you guys: Holden, as a man from Minnesota who is a huge nerd and loves all things comic books, movies, and every band shirt your wife wears... Never let her go! You are so lucky and I'm jealous! but She also landed an amazing dude. I love all of your shirts as well, from BTTF to Spider-Man, you're just so great together, jealousy aside it makes me so happy to see you two together and I find it so hilarious when you make an inappropriate joke and she's like "HOLDEN THOMAS HARDMAN!!!" I can't wait for her too see the 4th FF movie, that is my absolute favorite. Seeing Dom and Brian reunite after so long quenches my FF thirst, and it is the last 'grounded' movie of the series
This movie actually wasn't very popular until all the TikTok edits & YT shorts started popping up. I remember when this came out & everyone was saying it was mid with a weak storyline but the racing scenes & cars were pretty cool so it managed to make a comeback. Plus Han was a good character that new fans wanted to see more of which is why he came back from the dead in the new movies
I think Tokyo Drift is most people's fav (including mine) because it's the vibiest and more grounded of the series. It's just about street crime and racing. It'll eventually just turn into a ridiculous Mission Impossible superhero series.
This one is easily the most flawed of them all but still my favourite, I think it's just straight up because the aesthetic of drifting is the best form of driving.
This is my favorite F&F movie just because it's such a departure from the formulaic rest of the movies. It was also fun watching Lucas Black on NCIS after seeing this. :)
Fun fact Han is the same character from a different film the director made called better luck tomorrow shows him around highschool time movies not the best but some fast and furious lore for you

19:07 that actor is Sonny Chiba. He was also in Kill Bill Vol.1. He was a famous Japanese actor back in the day.
Holden. So funny thing about Tokyo Drift is that when it came out people hated the movie. Surprisingly it along with the first one have aged the best out of all of them. The first one and Tokyo Drift keep getting better as time goes by as opposed to other 2 or 4.
her face when twinkie gave sean the tissue box XD
When this came out the plan for the franchise was to do an anthology series with each film being a different cast… until Vin Diesel decided he wanted to do sequels
Went to place my fun fact about Keiichi Tsuchiya‘s cameo as the fisherman before realizing 15 other people beat me to the punch!!
Man really missed out going in chronilogical order and gave us the best one 3 movies in 😩 gotta appreciate
The character of Han was first introduced in 2002, in Director Justin Lin's movie, Better Luck Tomorrow.
Jen is going to enjoy the secret cameo at the end
The actor that played the uncle is JJ Sony Chibi. He also played Hanzo the sword maker in Kill Bill.
If you like Lucas Black, he was in a television show when he was younger called American Gothic where Gary Cole plays a policeman that controls this snall town, and Sara Paulson plays Lucas' sister
Jens eye roll when the girl said what about me😂
I didn't watch 3 originally. I waited for 4 to see og cast . I rank 3 dead last. Out of all 10
Can't wait for you to react to all of the Fast & Furious movies!
As a long time watcher, first I want to say how much I love you guys: Holden, as a man from Minnesota who is a huge nerd and loves all things comic books, movies, and every band shirt your wife wears... Never let her go! You are so lucky and I'm jealous! but She also landed an amazing dude. I love all of your shirts as well, from BTTF to Spider-Man, you're just so great together, jealousy aside it makes me so happy to see you two together and I find it so hilarious when you make an inappropriate joke and she's like "HOLDEN THOMAS HARDMAN!!!"
I can't wait for her too see the 4th FF movie, that is my absolute favorite.
Awesome. Fast Five is my fav of the heist type ones. This one is for racing/drifting
THIS MOVIE!! I live drifting ever since I saw “Initial D” when I was kid. FAVORITE FF movie
This is my favorite F&F movie just because it's such a departure from the formulaic rest of the movies. It was also fun watching Lucas Black on NCIS after seeing this. :)
Holden when you said “I got something else I can deliver for you” I was waiting for the “holden Thomas hardman!” But it never came 😂😂😂
Fun fact Han is the same character from a different film the director made called better luck tomorrow shows him around highschool time movies not the best but some fast and furious lore for you
Jen disguised as Scarlett Witch for Halloween? Holden, you'll be a father again next year ahah
TOKYO DRIFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
