Nice Video. My wife worked with Tommy when he was writing software in Oregon. I was introduced to him at a company function as "Barbara's husband", to which Tommy replied, "Lucky Guy!". What a charmer.

I met Tommy when I was 16 around the middle of 1980 at the Caribbean Club in Ukiah,it was an 18 and under non alcoholic club, to this day I wonder why he was there since he was in his early 30s then. But he was nice and said he had big dreams about being in this band. I had a dance war with him and kicked his butt since I was good at disco, he had his Tutone type shoes and kind of danced like jughead in the Archie cartoons. And he just kind of disappeared after that. Later on in life bamm! I realized I met him! And now I discovered this video he's on American Bandstand same time also right at the same time

I still have they're albums. I will never understand why this band didn't get the props they deserve. Just goes to show how a huge hit isn't necessarily a good thing. Jenny was the weakest song on the album in my opinion, even though it's a great song. It's just a shame the radio didn't spin more from this fantastic band.

'Jenny' is an awesome slice of power-pop. Never gets old, always sounds fresh. But yeah, Tommy Tutone, no fault of their own, should have been way more successful.
