    Sadly last week I lost my Great uncle aged 94. He was badly injured in D-day but returned to the ETO some months later & survived the war. 2 months ago he received the French legion medal for helping liberate France, given to him by the French nation. It’s SO important we remember & capture their stories as it’s becoming to late. Thank you for your efforts.

    “Some of our guys weren’t so good.” Good and bad people on all sides of a war on a scale like this. Thank you for your courage and service. Families of peace loving humans around the world are proof of you and your friend’s sacrifices.

      Sadly, even America had a few bad apples (for example see the Biscari Massacre of Axis prisoners by several bitter GIs). War does terrible things to men and women involved in it. It's why keeping your moral conscience strong is critical.

    My orthodox Jewish father upped his draft and went to war in 1944. He was killed in France soon after. He didn't complain that he wouldn't be able to eat the food. He felt he could not stay home even if they weren't drafting men with children.

    I have been binge watching these videos all week. I have depression anxiety and ptsd. I battled with suicide since I was 13. These stories are helping me greatly and giving me a different perspective on life. I had 7 great grandfather's all brothers whom were in WW2. I really wish I could hear their stories from a indigenous perspective. None the less. Thank you all. May the world not only hear your stories but learn from your stories. ❤

      @Sea Skimmer So you have no comeback so you resort to insults. How do you define “Grow up” because in reality we are all “children” compared to our ancestors. Or do you mean work consume sleep and repeat? How would “growing up” help me see that we have freedom. I bet you did not watch the video? Whites are being genocided yet we have freedom?
      Much love - Oy Vey

      @seaskimmer 4 года назад +2

      @@oyvey304 I didn't mean grow up as an insult i meant when you "grow up" in mind and body you will see we have freedom where you said "what freedom?" You are free compared to how your would be under Nazi rule if that makes it easier for you to understand. The worlds not perfect (never will be) but some things are better than they might have been. (Hey i could be wrong, who knows what a Germany dominated world would be like?)
