I love both but Amber's Furina voice is filled with so much life and energy!
Is no one going to talk about how Japanese VA makes a difference in voice for Ousia and Pneuma? In Ousia form, Furina sounds energetic and fun, while in Pneuma form, she sounds rather serious and emotionless. In Englsih version, though, it seems like there is no such difference. Not that it makes her bad, she sounds adorable in both versions :')

@@01-aleriorayyaarifaisal91Pneuma is Furina acting as an archon, in JP pneuma Furina has princely manner of talking, she always tries to sound convincing and wise like an Archon. She sounds more happy and lively in ousia because ousia is who she really is, not living a lie and just being herself.

Wow i really didn't expect inori minase is furina's VA, her voice is so different than any character she ever voiced or at least i've ever heard as of its different person, i guess she really a talented seiyuu

One thing I have to give to her JP VA over the ENG one is that the Pneuma form skill voice lines sound far less flamboyant and more calm and serious perfect contrast to her ousia form. Ousia as her ostentatious archon self who acted for 500 years and Pneuma as her true inner-self is more serious and emotionally worn out.

Inori’s Furina is getting better gameplay wise, but Amber’s Furina is still peak
I like the Japanese more, but maybe because i'm used to hear it (all anime i look are in japanese, since it's their native language) and they normally do a better job transmitting feelings on their dubs (at least on anime). But now that i hear the english voice i have to admit she does a nice job (still like the japanese more though).
It's fine that you like the JP dub more, all that's needed is you show appreciation for other dubs too

I kinda like the JP voice a lot more for one reason: It's a lot more androgynous.
Furina isn't exactly super feminine. She rides a similar line to Venti in terms of presentation, though she's clearly leaning more towards feminine. The term would be "Bokukko" in Japanese (bonus points for actually using "boku" as her personal pronoun in Japanese)
So the slightly more masculine Japanese voice that still sounds distinctly feminine honestly fits her better. Not to say the EN voice is bad by any means, it just doesn't reflect her personal style and characterization as much as the JP one.
Finally! I thought I'm the only one who likes her androgynous voice because it fits her personality. Judging by how she's a bokukko, I think the JP does want to emphasize on her tomboy side.
I like eng more but i do get ur point here and one more thing her clothes are inspired by ouji fashion a style worn mostly by males
Her gender has nothing to do with the story. That’s a complete stretch. Her tragedy is about being forced to live in a lie for 500 years which no, is not a metaphor for her gender. It’s about hiding her humanity and suffering in loneliness.
You could make the argument that this is her “coming out” symbolically but that’s also a stretch since the mask she was wearing was that of a god, and you can’t compare being a god to being straight/cis vs being human (gay). She’s clearly female and your headcanon detracts from the impactfulness of the story.

Eh, from what I've seen fans of non-EN voice actors often drop "ew EN" comments even in posts not discussing the actual voice acting but quotes lines from EN VAs as if admitting to actually liking EN is a crime against their Genshin player identity or whatever, so it goes both ways.
Which, being someone who does actually know some Japanese and Chinese, is mildly amusing to me and makes me wonder how often the people doing that understand the languages they prefer or are entirely dependent on the EN subtitles anyway.
Only time people event comment weebs is when Jp elitists call out en for no reason. Not the other way around.

All foreign sounds are the same and there is no strong difference between them, while we can distinguish who is the owner of the sound in Japanese specifically
It's exactly because you're a foreigner that you can't distinguish the difference. All japanese girl voices basically sound the same to me while I hear differences in English. It's literally just because of the way you grew up and not because all foreign sounds are the same. One clear example would be the en dub of Arlecchino vs Furina vs Chiori. They each have very distinct voices. Arlecchino has a very deep cold sounding voice while Furina has a childish tone. Chiori has a sassy tone. At the end of the day this is just a you problem. It's not like it matters.

If you have read/watch entire Fountain Archon Quest story, Dramatic is really fitting for Furina. And the Furina's EN voice can be calm and sad when it need to.
Jp sounds like she's a "softy" Tbh and doesn't capture the essence of Furina's over-the-top performance (too over the top that she didn't stop for 500 years lol)
@@nyes4596 I mean, she IS a softy underneath it all. And the JP voice reflects her more androgynous style. Inori Minase does give one helluva good performance.
It can be hard to gauge though because ALL JP voices are "stage voices" so people who hear anime/video game VA work in Japanese become desensitized to it.
She really is quite over the top in Japanese, but since that's NORMAL in JP voice acting very few people notice especially when the actress has to inject her creamy center at the same time.
