Heavy clubs have been a game changer. Wildman knows what he’s doing. Kettlebells and heavy clubs are the key ingredients to success, especially as an aging BJJ athlete. Six months ago I started heavy clubs as an addition to KB training. The difference in how I feel is like night and day.

I wish I could afford clubs! I have to continually guard for rib injury. Years of rugby and then martial arts, like Jiu Jitsu have treated the ribs roughly.

I filled a 2.5 liter plastic coke bottle with ciment and a metal bar... weight 4kgs...works fine to use at home... daily (give or take) mobility with some weight seems to be the key for sholders and back (60 yrs)

I recently came back from a rib cartilage injury that took me out for 3 months. They take forever to heal.

Sounds good, but my wife isn't going to let me spend money on clubs. I already bought a bunch of kettlebells🤣

BJJ is so bad for joints and longevity that I stopped doing it for that reason. There are many other systems and styles that won't mess you up. I don't understand why you would combine joint destruction (BJJ) with clubells, Kettlebells etc and mobility. That damage on the mats is irreversible in some cases. Is it worth it ?

Yeah BJJ is pretty much at the opposite end of the spectrum on health and care for the body. Many other martial arts that keep and heal the body. Goes against what Mark teaches about "Health" first fitness its weird.

It's cuz he is BS all this standing there with his clubs and kettlebells rotating around doesn't do shit for I train BJJ and this doesn't apply at all not even the grip on a club or kettle bell doesn't apply to someone wrist or Gi during grapple.
