      @AnonymousFreakYT 16 дней назад

      @@lukebradley7879 You can absolutely compare the driving experience of a BMW to "an EV". How about the BMW i4? iX? i7?
      The Model 3, however, is barely a competitor to the 3-series. Yes, it is fast in a straight line. That's the only real way it's absolutely guaranteed better. BMW is about "the driving experience" - something that other than straight line acceleration, the Model 3 is lacking in. Interior that is so minimalist it's boring and not a nice place to sit in for hours while driving.
      For a compact/midsize performance sedan EV, it's…. Fine. But it isn't a luxury car. If you want a luxury car, you don't get a Model 3. It's closer in competition to a Dodge Charger than a 3-series. It's an electric "muscle car".

I was leaning between the i4 and the Highland and the difference was too small to justify the added cost. And you are talking about driving dynamics before anyone has tested the Highland Performance on track.
      So, yes it is nicer and slightly better quality, but it is way more expensive.

    Kyle, when you’re able to get some behind the wheel time in this car, I’d like to get your opinion on the following things: 1. Ride quality compared to the 2024 M3LR. I’m assuming the sport suspension combined with low profile wheels will make for a harsher ride but perhaps the active damping system will improve that. 2. Noticeable range loss. Will everyday driving and relaxed trips (perhaps in chill mode) make the difference from the LR less of a concern. 3. Seat comfort. The bolstered seats look amazing but will they feel amazing 200 miles into a trip. I’m looking at purchasing a Model 3 in the next two months and with the tax rebate making the performance less expensive, I’m leaning that direction now even though I was dead set on a LR. I’ll be using it for 4-5 hour trips probably once a month. The rest will be daily driving. I need your wisdom!

    It is important to note that the old Model 3 Performance showed up to 601 HP in realtime Canbus measurements. That is the same way Hyundai measures their 641 HP in N Grin mode. The EPA rated combined power for the old Model 3 Performance was only 430 HP. It would be impossible for a 4,050+ lb vehicle to do the 0-60 mph and 1/4 mile times of the Model 3 Performance with only 430 HP max and a single fixed gear. HP ratings are meaningless. Look at acceleration data to determine how much power these vehicles have. Nothing in this price range comes anywhere close to the new Model 3 Performance. I also have reason to believe that the car is WAY quicker than Tesla has even said it is.

    I'm still genuinely curious if they'll offer an "acceleration boost" like they've done previously with the Long Range. I'm guessing they might still give us Ludicrous mode with that, given the badging and such. It'd likely be a $2-3k upgrade purchased right on the Tesla app. This may have been their clever way of still staying under the tax credit threshold and they may actually have a full event when that feature is released. If not, I'll still be plenty fine with its performance, but it seems like they'd be missing the mark if they didn't offer that. And since it's not currently available yet on the refreshed Long Range, they may still be holding out on us just a little bit.
