I totally took your sigs for granted when I was a broke high school kid. I just thought "It'd be cool to own one of these someday. I'm sure they'll still be around when I have a job" but oh how wrong I was! It's a treat seeing you work on and talk about all these machines. ESPs rule.
I love this guitar more than the RA-3 and the RA-600’s. I can’t explain why, this guitar just makes my brain fill with serotonin. Wish I could have gone to that Chimaira Christmas 2017 show. Alas, new job had me on a six month probationary period before I could use any vacation time.
It's nice to see some of your iconic axes in videos whether you play them a lot or not. There's a lot of cool history in each one from a band and musician I admire.

I agree about the Sperzels. I have them on my ESP USA M-7 and they are pretty terrible, even compared to the basic LTD locking tuners. Sweet customs Rob!!

Finally! I often wrote to you here that you should pay attention to this guitar in more detail, and finally you made a video about it! I remember, when I see you playing this guitar for the first time - It's immidiately caught my eye! As a huge Superstrats fan, I was absolutely fascinated - this guitar is incredibly beautiful and stunningly gorgeous! As I wrote before, I don't like the combination of body binding and pickguard - either one or the other. And this version of your custom guitar is my favorite, I would like your new signature model to be based on it!

I would love to jam on one and demo it for sure! I've had my eye on the rainbow crackle actually though! At first I didn't like the crackle look. Then out of nowhere, I fell in love with it. Been thinking about getting it again & swapping out the Distortion for an EMG & making the pa switch a kill switch. Or.....get that m-1000ht BP you have. Looks bad ass. I want a solid rhythm guitar. Have an EC-1000 jb/59 & it's fantastic all around.
Decided to grab the Music Nomad cleaning tool from Sweetwater and gonna try the DR strings same gauge. Never tried rhem before. 🤘🤘🤘 Thx for the info Rob

A G string that is Wound??!! Does that help more with it staying in tune and Breakage? that's awesome. its always the G string that goes out of tune and breaks on my guitars.
Why do you prefer 24 3/4" scale? I love the look of the RA-3 but I find the scale length a little limiting but it obviously handles drop C w/ 11's just fine. Great video man!

No dislike at all! But once I felt the ESP locking tuners, I began to prefer them. They just have a better design in my opinion. They feel better to work with.

If Eddie Van Halen or someone like that were to give away his concert played strings from a special show, there would be people interested in having that sort of unique memorabilia. Now I'm certainly no EVH, but on a much, much, much, much, much, much smaller scale, there are fans of my band who may appreciate memorabilia like this that I have to offer.

Thanks dude! Honestly, I haven't yet warmed up to anything other than ESP and ltd. To be fair though, those are also the only two model lines I own/have played.
@@RobArnoldWorld EII is the line above LTD but just below full ESP. They used to be the ESP Standard Series, then they became LTD Elites, now they are called EII. Check out the EII M1s, they’re pretty sick. They always put the damn volume knob right next to the bridge though, that ruins 90% of strat style guitars for me.

Which one is a good starting point, as far as an album goes?
Great video Rob! I have a totally unrelated question. I am trying to learn Split from POOE and my research has said you guys use to play 7 strings during this album then switched to six strings. Why do you prefer 24 3/4" scale? I love the look of the RA-3 but I find the scale length a little limiting but it obviously handles drop C w/ 11's just fine. Great video man!
Honestly I never knew a thing about scale length while designing these guitars, and when they arrived, they just felt perfect!

No dislike at all! But once I felt the ESP locking tuners, I began to prefer them. They just have a better design in my opinion. They feel better to work with.

@@RobArnoldWorld EII is the line above LTD but just below full ESP. They used to be the ESP Standard Series, then they became LTD Elites, now they are called EII. Check out the EII M1s, they’re pretty sick. They always put the damn volume knob right next to the bridge though, that ruins 90% of strat style guitars for me.
