I love watching these for the simple reason that I can just picture months or years of planning for the bad guy only for samus to come in and 44 minutes later ruin there day. This is why she is THE bounty hunter
I'm mildly disappointed in Raven Beak tbh, after he killed his sister clan everything just went to shit for him. While Gfeds and space pirates were doing cool metroid shit he was dealing with the X parasite pandemic on ZDR, and he missed out on getting metroids. Hell of a fail😅
Raven Beak watching through the cameras as Samus rotates in place at incomprehensible speeds like at 37:08, and suddenly feels a deep-seated fear of what's about to happen
So, we've gone from Skipping the First Grey EMMI, to skipping the Blue EMMI, to now skipping the Purple EMMI. I wonder how far the skipping will go from here on out...
Yeah how speedrunning glitches are discovered is so cool to me. Like Hollow knight I’ve gotten like 49 min but I can’t begin to understand the skill required to do all glitches to get the like 35min time or less that F1R3B0RN got
I imagine it’s because *The Run* is really just one of many, many attempts so they need to be acutely aware of every mistake they make so they can try to correct it in the next run
This dude just broke the game with those moves, also getting from my POV an unbeatable world record time and has less than 600 subs wow this man should deserve 1M of subs
It was just BRUTAL, bro. I am an old metroid player, but Dread seems too much difficult in my opinion. It was quite hard to beat for me, and see what you can do, and so fast... It is really amazing!
I'm also an old metroid player, and I found Dread to be easy in everything but the boss fights! I did finish hollow knight twice, so I'm familiar with difficult bosses though.
Once you do the bosses once or twice and know the patterns they’re all surprisingly straightforward to deal with. You still need to execute but they do get easier.
I’ve never really watched much of this game, always been a fan of prime but the mechanics seem really cool, would be fun to see some of them implemented in mp4
Kinda weird that turbo is allowed for speedrunning but even without that there’s clearly a lot of skill on display! Though it’s now clearly at the point where a layperson just can’t comment or really get engaged at the end unfortunately, but all runs end there eventually.
Aye, I'll agree to an extent. I've switched off of Turbo myself just because I didn't want to contribute to any discourse any longer, especially given my position as a top runner. By the short and skinny of it, though, the function has been balanced enough to where it cannot overtake humans anymore, which is really good. I'll still not use it, though.
@@satorha Tbf I’m not sure you need it, I saw your 100% WR too and I don’t think you used it there. No clue how you managed to mash that fast but kudos either way!
@@Airlord3670 You're right. I don't need it, but I understand that it circumvents a physically stressing action, so I used it for injury prevention and health reasons. As time went on though I couldn't ignore the impact it had on my peers so I've ditched it. I singlemash with my right index and vibrate against the button. Not good, but I can get over ten inputs a second, which is completely fine for Dread. Cheers, man! Thanks for the support.
So at 6:29, how did you reactivate the EMMI? Was that a loading glitch? Because I did the same actions as you did (early scorpius, EMMI skip, etc) but got softlocked with no way to reactivate EMMI. I wonder if I could unbrick that save file with this...
around the timepoint, sat is doing a trick called magus skip to jump up to the wall, because the emmi only activate when you re-enter back the door on the right. If you presudo the blob and went to cu, yeah soft-locked.
This involved a glitch called wall clipping when samus is in the bomuhey skew state, another glitch that can make samus facing us on command. The turning around in the video can make samus' wall clip angle bigger, allow to wall clip and clip faster.
It's incredible. ZDR goes from lush and teeming with life to overrun with X to erased from existence in 44 minutes.
7:18 "That was close"
Understatement of the century
Fr tho he was like .3 seconds from a reset haha
Dread is now a true metroid game
It always has been
It wasn't already since its reveal?

Speed runners eventually just skip playing the game itself
@@tranqle73 kindof reminds me of playing Ocarina of time. They just go from the first door to the end credits 😂
He skipped all of the other suits too

Me, watching this while struggling to complete even some of the basic shinespark challenges in the game.
I love the idea that he's walking and he has the slightest slip and he yells :HELLOOOO!!"🤣
At 15:00 you talking about what strats/routes to use sounded a lot like Samus pondering about what she would do next lmao
your play through was flawless , congrats on WR dude !
How come every wr speedrun I watch with commentary the player is constantly saying what a trash run it is? 😂
these people are perfectionists

This is nuts!! Crazy how yall figure these little glitches out.
This is insane, you’re insane, you deserve more subs and views
Nice to see the ending without twitch ads. GG Sat.
This speedrun look so difficult especially when you have tried the game and even the speedrun by yourself before see that
I could never put myself thru the stress of speed running this game 😂
36:58 the best moment of my life

It's definitely a challenging game but with practice you'll start surprising yourself as to how you beat the really tough bosses

@@Airlord3670you can even practice them in boss Rush
Sick run Sat!
SUPER impressive! 🔥

The Drift on the controller must be crazy after the SR
7:33 bro drop the hardest chewbacca impression and thought nobody would notice.
I remember when the wr for this game was above an hour. Amazing job in wr btw
Dude you're insane!
I can imagine Raven Beak looking at samus going at it like this and just being like O_o what
this is crazy dude
Dang this is very good player in Metroid legendary. I cannot do that it.
I knew this very hard than easy in Super Metroid. 😰😰😰😰🤯🤯😱😱😱
I think the pog getting rubbed by a hand is more entertaining than the speed run itself (‘~’)
3:29 I absolutely adore your reactions whenever you mess up 😂
Insane clean gameplay. Incredibly bad mentality though like yikes
Damn this guy is so awesome
How did he run through hot zone then run straight through an enemy without taking damage? 21:18
It's a glitch he did it in the emmi door I think
nice video and speed run!! keep at it. :)
So the ended up calling it “legacy” for patch 1.0.2? Interesting.
Congrats on sun 45!!!
Man, that was a great run. Sweet eggs.
How did you not make the pun Dreadpardy for Dread jeopardy
I'm coming for you, I am getting this next. I hope.
are people not really running this anymore? this record has stood for over a year?
Lore accurate Samus
It only took me 24 hours of play time. 😂
11:41 easily survived with ONE health!
1:25 how? How???
It almost seemed like you were going to be disappointed with a wr.
Love is War is pretty amazing
This is a crazy dude

Alright, now do it on Dread mode.

You sound insane in the end of the run.
wow
29:12 can someone please explain what's the purpose of doing that ?
Activate a glitch that makes you don't take damage
Yo when is the next run?

tfw losing inputs
Wait how did he shoot so fast? 1:40 like bro installed auto clicker in his thumbs or something
it's a run with a turbo button
Whats going on at 37:10?
This involved a glitch called wall clipping when samus is in the bomuhey skew state, another glitch that can make samus facing us on command. The turning around in the video can make samus' wall clip angle bigger, allow to wall clip and clip faster.
how could you run that way at 46:42? is it a glitch?
How is he shooting that fast? Asking for a friend
Idk how he does it but personally I vibrate my hand and barely place it above the button
Did he skip some bosses completely?
i like ur vids but u can be a little loud at times
What does “Turbo” mean?
Turbo means that when. He holds down fire, it mashes for him
@@mrnotacow Ohhhhh, duh. I thought it was some kind of mode within the game or something. Jeez, I’m such a dolt. Thanks, lol.
Is it played on a Keyboard? :o
With Yuzu emulator technically it could be
8bitdo ultimate > 8Bitdo pro 2 > Nintendo Pro
The Ultimate is not legal for Dread speedrunning due to its 15hz turbo rate. Otherwise I would agree with this.
I'm a bit curious why every speed run I've checked so far starts at exactly the same time.
This would’ve been a great video if the dude could stop talking for 3 seconds
Shut up man, this is his video, he can do what he want
Does Metroid in completion, is complete piece of shit. Great job.
What?
