Pulling doubles was pretty cool! I wouldn't mind trying with a 48 and a 28 at some point! Comment if you have experience with some crazy doubles setups! 🤟
Just got my CDL two weeks ago and I start at Pilot Thomas pulling doubles and I got a road test before getting hired. Looking up tips and tricks for myself 😂
Just word of advice when dropping your tail trailer before you pull forward lock your glad hands to the mounts in the basket and you will never loose air. Or cut off the air supply from your lead and bleed the air and let it free wheel. But since you just starting connect your glad hands to the dolly basket and you will be OK. Stay safe out there and keep the rubber side down.
One word. " Lights" Thanks for your efforts though. My search brought me to this video first. Just have to look for another with which I can see whats going on.
You mentioned how the set of doubles and triples Will will follow you If you get a set of doubles or triples Will start whipping Apply trailer brakes Power tractor It will straighten
I work out of that Penske yard for us foods. That was Rodney hooking up his sets. He pulls them to Topeka, KS. They will pull double 48s and triples with a 36,32 & 28. Those trucks that park on the end are incredibly annoying. They have a serious parking problem there. I met your replacement a couple months ago. He needs to learn to wear deodorant.
Pulling those doubles must have felt awesome. Almost like operating a train haha. I hope you do good with the new company man! Btw did it feel a bit scary driving doubles at night?

I pull a 53’ with a 42’. Definitey need to swing wide but the rear trailer follows pretty well
Welcome to hauling doubles , the waiting game !!!
I start a shuttle driver position at US Foods on the 13th of November
How that do for you? Thinking of accepting a double position but. Thinking. It will get boring just doing the same thing over and iver

Keep making videos dude Ik you don’t have many subscribers but I love your content and I know if you stick to it you’ll hit it big
Thanks man! My current company kind of put a road block on the videos, but I'll do what I can

Just got hired on as a combo driver for Old Dominion which means I’ll be pulling doubles. I’m so excited but so nervous. I’ve only ever pulled 53s
You'll be fine doubles pull and ride way better than 53 ft trailers
@@tha1Gemini24 and them facts
I’m about to start pulling doubles. Which do you think is easier between that and 53?
Doubles imo is easier
Doubles are easier to turn, but of course you can't back into places with them.
Doubles pull and ride way better than a 53ft Trl. Been with with FedEx freight for 3yrs
Sheesh I’m a rookie and will be going for my endorsement this week and have a job lined up for fedex out of SoCal.
It's not bad, I've done the doubles for FedEx in the past. Pays well
When you are pulling doubles do you back one trailer at a time ?
Yes, you have to unhook the set to back them in anywhere.
I pull triples and back them up at the same time
Have you revealed where you are going to work at? Wondering if I missed it.
Not yet!

The doubles are definitely a lot of fun! It wasn't scary, but a little more stressful versus daylight, but I got it done! 🤘
