      I'm glad that you and Cody were against Emily. Sure Ross said the wrong name, but she was about to become an evil woman. She is unfair to Ross and Rachel. I felt bad when Emily broke up with Ross, but it is better that way

      @@stacydenisonI kind of understand why Emily began to develop trust issues. Granted some people may be think she was evil (beliefs that I disagree with but still fully respect) I’m still glad she was able to realize it in the end. I mean she and Ross had to split if she couldn’t get over it, which I can understand given the fact that Ross obviously still had feelings over Rachael, and overall in future episodes where Emily was made out to be evil seemed a little overboard. I think the wedding trauma was the thing that made her that way, like how Ross’s trauma with Carol made him so untrusting.

    • @gregheffley9984
      @gregheffley9984 7 дней назад

      @@G1gaKn1ght Her not wanting Ross to see Rachel is understandable to a degree, even though she should have just told Ross to never call her again. She should understand that once he said Rachel's name at the altar, she should just divorce Ross as quickly as possible.
      But then she also demands for him to sell his stuff and leave his apartment which, I think, is kind of evil.

    • @stacydenison
      @stacydenison 7 дней назад

      It is still not an excuse. If Ross end up not seeing Rachel again and stick with Emily, that means the group will fall apart and Ross will never be able to be with his son. So the only way to save his friendship with Rachel and the gang is for Ross and Emily to break up. Ross and Rachel were meant to be together

    It’s a good thing Ross and Emily ended, they just were not going to be able to work it out. Ross did a lot wrong but I think Emily went overboard asking him to move and get rid of basically everything Rachel has touched…. My wife made me throw out everything my Ex’s have ever given me which I think is a fair ask. If she asked me to get rid of anything touched, sat on, or used by any of my ex’s I would think that’s extreme.

    I think some people in the comments forget that this is a sitcom. The show has its serious and emotional moments but the whole 10 seasons of the show was designed to literally make people laugh. Every one of the 6 characters has their worst and best moments, but lets be real here, if you hate one character, you have to hate the rest because I can guarantee you whatever character it is, has done the same or worse as all the others.

    • @yaboi-ih1ot
      @yaboi-ih1ot 7 дней назад +8

      I agree, but I think maybe yourself and others who just keep saying it’s a sitcom should understand there are still going to be moments that people take more seriously. Some people are like yourself where they just want to laugh, and might appreciate the serious moments, others are like Nick and Cody. They love to laugh as well but they love the serious moments a lot. Nothing wrong with either way of watching the show. Just because it is a sitcom does not mean people cannot take the show seriously.

    • @jinxysaberk
      @jinxysaberk 7 дней назад +7

      @@yaboi-ih1otbuddy…the first comment is literally talking about the intention of the show. In some other sitcoms like the good place they put character development and plot over laughs. In FRIENDS 90% of what is said and done on screen is done with the intention of making the audience laugh not them taking it super seriously. If people take it too seriously it’s completely a them issue. The shows intention isn’t to be serious and if that’s what you want then it’s not the right show for you cuz guess what bucko they’re not real people and this is not real life. sitcoms operate on a heightened reality. You HAVE to suspend disbelief or else you’ll find yourself questioning a JOKE. Take it seriously all you want but your criticism becomes completely invalid and all around annoying when people try to talk about the show because you ignore what the creators were trying to do.
      Your comment shows a complete lack of media literacy and an unhealthy attachment to fictional characters. The first comment is also completely correct. the fandom hates ross because he’s a bad person when in reality everyone in the friend group is a bad person especially phoebe who’s supposed to be nice. If you take phoebe too seriously she is just horrible but people like to pick and choose what they take seriously in sitcoms. THATS the main issue with these reactions at times. They will recognise something like phoebe biting a man as a joke (even tho that’s SA) but the emily stuff or switching the apartments back is taken way too seriously because it’s a character they don’t love.
      So i’m going to ask you honestly. Do you think it’s fair to take jokes so seriously when you can ignore jokes that turn your characters into offenders? cuz both monica and phoebe belong on lists but oh wait you won’t take that seriously because that doesn’t suit you because they’re characters you like. You’re willing to ignore the jokes that have horrible meaning to them if they ruin the characters you like

    I don’t understand all the hate for Ross. The world isn’t black and white, and he, like everyone else, is flawed. There are many moments in the show that people blame him for, but in reality, he’s not the only one at fault...What Rachel did to him this time aroung was incredibly selfish, trying to confess her feelings when he was about to get married. Yet, I don’t see much hatred directed at her. She definitely played with his emotions.
    Now that Ross is married again, can you really blame him for wanting to make it work with Emily? He’s been through a lot with his ex-wife and her horrible partner, who went so far as to try to take his son away from him. Imagine the emotional trauma of being cheated on and then pushed aside in parenting.
    Ross is a complicated character, but that’s life. Nobody is perfect. Plus, he’s responsible for some of the funniest moments in the show, especially in the later seasons when his character becomes more kooky. I think he’s lovable in his own way, flaws and all.

      Don't underestimate Rachel. She wasn't trying to sabotage the wedding, Ross still had feelings for her too so neither were at fault here.

    Ross was an insecure idiot when he thought something could happen between Emily and Susan on their trip together - and people thought was understandable considering his own history. So when Emily is humiliated at her own wedding it's as if the viewers can't afford her the same grace to be the insecure mess. The Emily hate has always felt unfair.

    Sigh. Really was hoping people would stop saying it’s a sitcom, it’s been mentioned by several people every episode and it’s getting so annoying. We all understand it’s a sitcom, guess what, Nick and Cody and others focus on the serious and emotional moments more. There is a reason they are addressed in the show. If you can’t handle people taking plot lines too seriously, that really is a you problem.

    Saying Emily is ridiculous is a bit much, he said another woman's name at his wedding! How would you react if that happened to you?! I get rooting for Ross and Rachel but u guys take a bit too far sometimes, to where you can't even consider the other person's position in the relationship.

      Did you not watch the previous episode. Nick literally said I understand where Emily is coming from I would do the same thing probably. So how is that not being fair towards Emily? In this episode lots of people think she went too far, and after being manipulative towards him then they start saying Emily is ridiculous.

      Then post-pone the wedding. Dont go through with it. After a guy says another womans name, maybe you should consider if a two - three week relationship is really worth getting married over and if you actually are a match for each other. She sort of dug herself further into it and became completely overcontrolling and demanding. Not that Ross didnt do anything wrong, but Emily wasnt too bright either.

    Some people act like Ross did everything wrong, the only thing he did which was wrong is say Rachel instead of Emily. It wasn’t malicious, he just said something stupid in the moment. Emily refused to talk to him for weeks, then saw him at the airport with Rachel, which I don’t blame Ross for he was trying to help Rachel because she couldn’t get a flight back. I get why Emily would be mad but I’m not mad at Ross for trying to do the right thing. Once he saw Emily he chased after her, constantly calling her after trying to make it work. And finally Emily tries but she makes him sacrifice EVERYTHING and for what, her to say she can’t trust him. Why was she just stringing him along all this time.

      @@neshwhat702I wouldn’t actually. But what Emily did is take a couple weeks of ignoring him, not tell him what was going on. Keep in mind they are still married because she said to go on with the wedding. So she told him it can work just give up all of your friends and get rid of your apartment and most of your items. And at the end of the episode says she needs to know where he is at all times and she can never trust him. That to me is definitely a little manipulative.

      @coolechokids6201 After she saw him about to go on his honeymoon with Rachel is when she ignored him and disappeared. Because at this point, I think she was done with him until he kept contacting her family members. Then, when she called him to stop, he told her he would do anything to gain back her trust and win her back. Her demands might be controlling, but she wasn't wrong for how she felt. Ross kept making promises he obviously couldn't keep. I like Ross but she was making a huge compromise by staying married to him and moving across the world

    • @coolechokids6201
      @coolechokids6201 7 дней назад

      @@mzzthang3912I think that’s wrong on Emily’s part though. If you are correct and she was just done with him because she saw him about to go off with Rachel that’s terrible. She could have told him she was done when he chased after her or at the very least tell him she needs to think about it. She marries him and then ignores him for weeks?? For me if my husband just ignored me for weeks, even if I said someone’s name at our marriage, I would be insulted he couldn’t have just ended things with me there. I would expect him to honestly because that is a huge deal. If she was going to talk to him at the airport and then just left him for weeks on end and didn’t even let him explain that to me is wrong. And the big kicker for me is when she said she couldn’t trust him and needed to know where he was, after the fact that she made him move apartments, give up most of his items even if Rachel touched it. If she had those concerns she should have talked to Ross about it before telling him all of her demands. Because if she can’t trust him why would she stay married and say it could work 😂
