That part of the river is so beautiful and clean. The water is so clear and refreshing. I don’t think I would go in anywhere else in the river. If you go to the clearing, definitely give it a try.
I actually sort of like the dirt path since it is so packed down. We have gravel bikes and we also have fat tire Pedego bikes though. I can imagine with a street style bike it would be challenging. Have you tried the North Augusta Greenway? It is beautiful and completely paved.
