Great to see the difference in these seats. A real improvement. Being attached through D rings is also a great feature. You can keep a dry, unweathered seat.
I normally don’t wear my life jacket in the kayak. I just keep it on board. I did try it on though and sat in the seat. It didn’t seem to affect it. I hope this helps.

@@FunnerToDoIt You're good bro, just keep working and growing. Don't mind the negative comments, people even do that to kids on YT so you know us adults are going to get hit as well.
Don’t want to sound overly critical, but damn…… you have a major talent for making a short story long !
Fair enough. LOL! Like and subscribe for some more long short stories :)

Thanks. I'll be doing the same. I randomly already bought the same seat from Amazon before finding this video. Cheers!
Thank you for the feedback. You are going to love them! Total step up from what we took off.
@@FunnerToDoItwhat size pop rivets are you using? Where did you buy the latching hardware to mount?
I used .17 in or 4.3 mm pop rivets. All the other hardware came with the seats. That includes the eye clips and the hooks.
@FunnerToDoIt All worked well, thanks for the info. Instead of spending 400 on another kayak just spent 100 and now I can remove the seat.
What is the diameter of the pop rivet you used to plug the holes? i have a lot of 1/8th inch diameter - hoping that's it. Thanks

.17 inch.
@@FunnerToDoIt thanks!
Does the taller seat interfere with a life vest ?

@@FunnerToDoIt thank you. I just ordered the seat then thought, I sure hope this doesn’t interfere with my pfd.
pfd's dont work attached to the boat, ---------stay safe out there
👍
Watching your video was painful.
