Bus lane apprehension turns into a chase

- MMDA enforcers tried to apprehend this driver for a bus lane violation on EDSA.
After some difficulty, enforcers were able to force the car to pull to the side of the highway.
Unfortunately the driver suddenly accelerated and escaped.
Three enforcers gave chase and were able to force the driver of the Innova to stop in front of Timog MRT.
Two nearby police officers also provided assistance once the vehicle was stopped.
The Innova was escorted back to the original area of apprehension.
Those who run from the authorities after being waived to the side should be arrested and be charged with a felony and not a mere citation.
In our dream hahaha - puro salita tong si Nebrija hindi naman ginagawa. Pd pala kasuhan, bat hindi kinasuhan?
@@GwenAllyssor correct. He should've made an example out of that arrogant idiot. I guess he still has some political aspirations being so careful with who he runs into.
@@GwenAllyssorare sure na puro salita, bingi kba o tanga lang tlaga di mo narinig na confiscated ung lensinsya nya? ungas😅
@@GwenAllyssor How'd you know na di kinasuhan?
The stupidity of these violators never ceases to amaze me. Shouldn't they be arrested right then and there?
In other countries those who run from a traffic stop due to a violation are automatically apprehended, they are detained while police search their vehicle, their license confiscated, they are issued a ticket, and they are issued to appear in court. In most cases they are arrested if found under the influence or is in possession of contraband which caused them for flee. In the case of this video, this driver works for the government and/or an official. Higher penalties should apply. Just because you work for the government doesnt excuse you from obeying the law, you are even expected to uphold it. Tama na ang pag bibigay nang excuse sa mga tao na to, dapat kahit yung office na pinag tatrabauhan nya should be held liable. Mga tao na ganyan na basta basta "tickitan mo nalang ako sir." hindi matututo lalo na feel nila yung boss nila meron authority to just disregard their violations.
I know there's a risk, especially in the Philippines, that kind of power may be abused by some enforcers. But I do agree that something like that must be implemented.
@@ankey7384 I completely understand and I agree as well knowing how our law enforcement operates. I was just pointing out the protocols other countries do compared to what our law enforcers do here which is why a lot of these violators are repeat offenders. 😅

We seriously need some revisions in our traffic laws. I'm glad Sir Bong had the driver's license confiscated but he should also have been brought to the precinct.
We have enuf laws, the problem is how to implement it with accountability

Lifetime Ban from having a license should be the punishment
tama kasi in possession of a professional license ang gumagamit ng government vehicle.
If he works for the government then we should not blur his face and expose his plate.
So nice to hear that running away from enforcers on the new policy gives them 3rd offense immediately. Probably moves to 4th offense if they are a 2nd offendee.
That starts Monday under the new fines.
Why would you cover his plate number and the govt agency? Aren't they a "public" official?
That's the ones you take them out of the vehicle still wearing the seatbelt, just by the drivers hand posture, he does not give a damn. Too nice Bong... Government employee or not, integrity the key
No leniency sa ganitong driver. we need stricter laws sa mga ganito, tulad sa ibang bansa matic detained and cases filed sa mga ganitong tumatakbo at nag endanger ng mga enforcers at mamamayan.
this kind of people needs to be NAMED and SHAMED!! ang titigas ng mukha. dapat pag ganyan, gupitin o baliin agad ang lisensya.. salute sa mga enforcers na ginagawa nila ang trabajo nila ng tama.. salute Col. Nebrija...

Sir Bong is such a charismatic and eloquent dude - can't be any more perfect to be the frontman of a thankless and dangerous job.
If they run from enforcers.. it should be safe to assume that it's not only the violation they are running from but the vehicle or the person should be suspected of having something illegal.. they should be detained moving forward and the vehicle and person searched..
Up!

Unless there's police assistance on the site of operations like they did on previous operations thru request.
Revoke the license and inform the employer of the driver

Generally enforcers add extra violations to the ticket, not just the initial violation.
But this won't end with a ticket. Just wait.

You should start considering showing those faces of serious offenders especially those who are like that person.
It'll not conflict with the Data Privacy act because it's a documentation of an operation.
not sure about this.. i think that counts as doxxing since even though there's a documentation.. that's not readily available for public to see.. there's a reason why the plates are blurred..
@@randomguy7159 it's not the plate that I've mentioned, it's the face of the offender. It's unfair to only post faces of ordinary people but not those who are in the government. If it's doxxing, then all faces should be blurred, especially kids who are sometimes with someone who got flagged by enforcers.
Also, government highly promotes transparency. It's not doxxing if there will be no derogatory statements in the video that describes the offender.
@@soullessanimal i know.. but that's even worse... knowing someone face holds more distinctive information than knowing someone's plate.. and it could much put the person doxxed in a risk of harm.. considering people nowadays are crazy enough to do batshit crazy things to people "they" deemed criminally liable..
Don't get me wrong that I'm defending them though, they deserve such actions (penalties are meant to deter people from doing it and not to endure the consequences).. the problem is that their family/loveones that could easily be doxxed by doxxing the said person.. and i think its fair to say that they don't deserve that kind of treatment
*edit: if its regarding being a government employee.. i think it doesn't even matter.. all people deserve equal punishment or status.. *why are they blurred and some are don't? a possible explanation is the same reason why some motorist that have full face helmet offenders aren't required to show their face, that if you wish to not show your face, your entitled to do so.
Unfortunately, it just so happened that tickets are not "criminally charges" and would not be court trialed.
@@randomguy7159 1st off, you're not required to remove your helmet eveen if apprehended. 2nd, you're looking at the concept of "doxxing" way too much.
Tbh, it actually looked like you're defending them while you put contradicting words which makes all your statements really confusing.
If doxxing is the only thing that you can look into, then you should ask vloggers like him to stop posting videos like this because they're conveying awareness while you only looking at it as possible doxxing.
@@randomguy7159 you said it yourself, "criminal charges will not be trialed" so why afraid of the risk of doxxing if it's not even worth trialing
Dapat talaga may police backup ang MMDA para yung mga tumatakas na mga driver makulong at mapa blotter

That MMDA officer was way too nice... Just because he is government. At least tell us who this was so that his constituents can make sure he is never in office again. It's quite obvious he doesn't care about people - especially based on his attitude shown while the officer is talking, saying, "Just give me my ticket". Man is a criminal and deserves jail.
The guy did not care about putting others at risk and the saddest part is he still dont.
Whats with the censors and bleeps?
I just watched News5 cov of thr incident, that DOTR driver appears to act arrogantly after Col. Nebrija berated him! He sped away and seems not to care get his ticket... admin charges should be filed!
Glad no officers are hurt.

It wasn't stated in the news that if you're caught in the bus lane, avoided the officers, tried to flee but eventually caught. it's an automatic 3rd offense.
What a arrogant government employee. He needs fired.
These people should be getting arrested for attempted murder.
Should've been PUT in jail failing to comply. Immediate tow and suspension too linient.
No matter what the violator is saying, he doesn't care about anyone else except himself. It is obvious that he is not remorseful and just wants the ticket. Very selfish person!!!
