    If youre doing this, consider using cat 7 cables. They're not much more expensive but will be future proof with the right connectors. If you want to add permanent wires to your house, they'll be cheaper in the long run. Its also not much harder to do.
    If you only need a really low amount of connectors once and then never again, there are male and female connectors that don't require tools.

      Cat 7 isn't a ratified standard by TIA. If you're worried about future proofing beyond cat 6a or 10 Gb/s, then you should be using fiber instead.

    Do you need the flush cutters? i feel like it’s unnecessary

      In this case, it is indeed unnecessary. I often use it, though, to remove the separator, since sometimes it's hard to remove.

    UTP? That's like middle ages.
    S/FTP is the standard. At least around here...

      I didn't know that! Here in the most installations (homes) there are UTP Cat6 cables.
