Thank u for this for real documentary series, it shows lots of people struggle with or without jobs & helps one to be more compassionate for people & parents who are on dole that not all are happy not to work some try hard to earn a decent living just that opportunities are not there in today’s economy for everyone sadly. My word of encouragement is to count one’s blessings in spite of lack & thank God eg for good health, support from friends& family members for a temporary place to stay, healthy children etc & to pray for a better tomorrow each day & not fall into distress or depression keep mind & time occupied doing useful things cooking, cleaning house yard, exercise, going for walks, calling up a fren or family member to chat

I am 64, irish and live in ireland. I had part time jobs from the age of 13 and have just completed 40 years of full time work. I cannot get my head around the current system, where people do nothing and are funded by benefits. I have never had anyone pay for anything for me since I moved out of home in my early 20s. Depressing video and the attitude of some of the young people stinks.
I totally agree with you. I'm retired Air Force, get my pension every month and I have had young people tell me I don't pay taxes because I am not working. LOL, I still pay taxes on my pension. They just don't comprehend.

When I worked full-time and I was still living at home i used to always go in late but once I reach 20 and I branched out and had my own place I was always there on time because I couldn't afford to lose that job I always say when you leave home and you have got to pay your own way in life you grow up fast and the 90% of your wages which we're all yours because you where living at home only 10% is now yours the other 90% goes on the mortgage and other bills lol 😅🇬🇧

Nothing wrong with people living on the dole if they are disabled, or looking for work. It's the people who pump out 7 kids to get enough to not work or contribute to society that bothers me.
As an employer no way visible tattoos, ear lobe piercing. Back room jobs but definitely not meeting clients. When I was on the dole I took any job, couldn't affford to be selective. Also did volunteer work.
In my dad's day, they all just went to the docks or the mines or wherever, and that was all that it took. The people criticising today's kids haven't a clue how bloody hard it is. You wankers had it so easy.

If your soup ingredients cost you $50 and your booth fee at a local market is $68, you need to make more than $90 to cover all that and profit. Warm fuzzy feelings do not pay your bills. So everyone says.... I've had mental breakdowns. Severe ones, where I was hospitalized 3 times. In group therapy, EVERY TIME I WAS THE ONLY PERSON WHO WORKED. I needed time off work, obviously, but held down a responsible Career for over 40 years !! YES, I take antidepressants. YES, I've had Counselling. I drew on my experiences and trained as a PSYCHOLOGIST. It's bull for everyone on the Planet, with mental health issues, to claim they cannot work. Everyone is different , but how can I have been the ONLY person suffering from Depression, Anxiety and Anorexia to have EVER gained qualifications and worked at a responsible Career??? I cal
Maybe try a course online. Study, at your own pace, something you're interested in. It will improve your mood, and self esteem , if nothing else. Good Luck
