    Names change. Missions stay the same.
    AFB under Strategic Air Command -- to intercept Soviet bombers, and
    part of the group that monitored the DEW line radar.
    Now, satellites do the monitoring.
    (Is the DEW line radars still operational??? I wonder.).
    Thule is doing the same job now as it did in 1951, when it was built.

      The DEW line radars might be sipping margaritas somewhere sunny now, leaving the monitoring to the high-tech satellites.

    I always heard Thule Air Base pronounced - Too-lee.

    0:22 - 0:25 - "Home to some of the bravest men and women of the United States military?" - while showing footage of Canadian CF-18 personnel and Danish troops. And then the name Thule is pronounced incorrectly. Didn't bother watching after that.
