He didn’t really leave for say because he still is in contact with them because the person who did the soundtrack for Half life Alxy collaborated with Kelly
He has to come back or at least collaborate for hl3 or episode 3 or whatever new half life game comes out because it won’t be the same without the bangers
Truly a genius. Made all the code for sound in HL1, ost and sfx. Face of Gordon Freeman in Half Life 2. His music is top tier, echoes in the distance, steam in the pipes, lab practicum, you're not supposed to be here, lg orbifold, what kind of hospital is this, nectarium, sector sweep, vortal combat and last legs. They are my favourites.
In CS:GO if you got the MVP on the last round of either half, the full theme would play, and it would be so badass. Unfortunately now in CS2 it cuts off the full track.
This was my favorite music kit back in the day. It's Half-Life. It's more CSGO than most of the other music kits. I remember during Operation Shattered Web, staring in the main menu while this played, just for the sake of listening. Oh, those good old times... Now I don't play CSGO/CS2 anymore, but I'm sure I will someday again.

This is around 90 while half life 2 is usually at 120 in most of its pieces. The tempo does not differentiate them however because they are very similar.
These are absolutely beautiful. Kelly managed to combine all of his previous track’s style together! You can still hear elements from HL1 despite being very EP1/2 like.

Bought the stattrak on this one, and tbh.. I'm not damn disappointed, will never change this music kit to any kit like ez4ence or sail etc. This will now always be my forever kit. Sold my beartooth aggressive stattrak almost 1000 MVP no regrets or anything.
My favorite thing about this kit is that it's actually functional- the bomb 10 second timer actually ticks down by the second, so you can tell if you have time to defuse with a kit. This kit, and SKOG make these functional kits that I wish more kit makers will start incorporating into their tracks.
Kelly Bailey intended these for HL3 but he finally decided Valve are never going to bother developing it, so he's releasing these snippets for the public through the alternate medium of CS:GO.

I kinda get a Far Cry 3 vibe with that music kit. It has a kind of similar synth style in there. And am I the only one that when the main menu goes to the siren part i imagine a blurred POV view of a nearly dead CT on Overpass B site hearing the Ambulance / Police coming from the Autobahn above? It's sounds as if its the end coming nearer. What a vibe.

Не сильно-то и слизали. Там сухой дабстеп, а не ламповый индастриал. Тут так и пахнет минимализмом Nine Inch Nails, а Майк больше пытается забить тишину всем, чем можно, дабы скучно не было. TF2, L4D, CS:GO, Portal 2, там всё кричит, даже когда играет тихий эмбиент. Вот и CS2 туда же пошла.

I googled HL2 OST genre, Reddit says "Mostly Industrial / dark electronica/ DnB".
This music kit is pretty close to that genres.
