Thanks for this video. Looks like a chill place. I have been to the NCL private island and their air conditioned villas seem to be way nicer than anything on princess cay.
True. Princess cabanas are more uniform and not as big. There really isn't a super high end cabana on Princess. Coco and Half Moon Cay have ultra lux cabanas, some with hot tubs and butler service.
I loved it . Had a lot of fun . The sun was shining on us like never before. So sunglasses were a must like you said . Overall great experience will definitely be coming back soon
Just want to clarify that the drink package doesn't actually work here. I heard you say it and was excited for a sec because I had heard that it doesn't work. Did some googling and everywhere says that the drink package does not work on Princess Cays. ;-(
If using Princess Plus or Premier package you can use it on the island. On their website, see terms and conditions for their drink packages. www.princess.com/en-us/ships-and-experience/onboard-experience/food-and-dining/beverages We can't speak for Carnival, but their conditions might be different.
I never used it, but word is that the MedallionNet WiFi internet service is available. That's an exception to most "private island" resorts, so that's pretty cool.
Well, I have to agree that these dedicated resort beaches are not always the best. It's really about the convenience and comfort of staying on a cruise line property.

Agreed. Pretty user friendly and relaxing! We'll be back there next year, so we might do a follow up video.
@@ThePortLowdown awesome I’ll follow up with your videos
The barbecued ribs are the absolute BEST meal of the entire cruise.
Better than the dining room? I mean, what was your favorite on the ship itself?
@@ThePortLowdown Yes. Better than the dining room. Those barbecued ribs are Magnificent. and FREE. Ya gotta try 'em.
Well, that's another one for my list. Thanks!
@@ThePortLowdown My friend Lowdown...If you don't like the ribs, I will buy you a beer, when we cruise together.
Lol. I'll try the ribs for sure. I can't drink! 🙂
The drink package applies to this island??
Yes. Under their terms and conditions, the drink packages apply to their private islands.

Visiting January 6- do you think we will need a shady area or will it be chilly?
I'd always opt for shade in the Bahamas. It gives me a good base to go in and out of the sun. Just come early enough for a good spot. Have fun!
Can you take a scooter there
That's a good one! I honestly don't know. You'll have to ask Princess.
Do you have access to WIFI?
I never used it, but word is that the MedallionNet WiFi internet service is available. That's an exception to most "private island" resorts, so that's pretty cool.
Everything is too expensive. We have been on so many cruise ships trip and the beaches at those islands aren’t very good.
