Thanks for the video. Very informative. We are sailing with Princess out of Port Everglades' in November. Believe we are scheduled to leave from Terminal 2, so this is right up our alley.
A lot depends on crowds. We're currently on an Alaska Princess Cruise, and boarding in Vancouver took about that long too. Over booking in general has been persistent.
@DuttyGyal718 Kinda depends. For the most part, arrive about an hour or so before embarkation closes, if you're comfortable with that. 2 hours before closing is also close to the sweet spot.
@@ThePortLowdown Yeah. I normally do that here in NYC. Cruise is set to sail at 3PM, so I belive 2Pm is the cut off time which means I get at the port terminal around 1PM. Im staying in the area so it wont be more than a 15 minute drive tops.
Cool. Thanks for the kind words! I guess I was keying off our Uber driver who did NOT like the traffic there. Lots of drivers were getting lost there, for some reason. Anyway, I'm from LA so it's water off my back.
The drive itself only takes about 20 min. With the added hour for the ride, 1 1/2 hours give and take. Need to assume traffic collecting at the pick up area.
Forgot to mention. Last time we took a taxi stationed outside and that cut our wait time. We were the first ones out too because we had a flight that morning. That case took about 30 min. So the long wait really depends on your wait time at port.
Great video! I walk off with my luggage and take a cab to the airport. That’s essential if you’re in a rush to catch your flight.
Yep. That's what we do exactly. Very short trip to the airport! We just have carry ons.
This video was perfect for what I needed just before leaving for the princess cruises today!🙏🏽
You're welcome! Have an awesome trip!
Another great video. Concise and detailed. Thanks.
Thank you!

You're quite welcome! Have an awesome cruise!
This is very helpful, I am leaving from NYC, and didn’t realize I will need more than an hour just to board.

Thank you for this. My cruise leaves in about a week. So this was very helpful. Helps me manage+plan my travel time to port better.
@DuttyGyal718 Perfect! That's what we aim for. Have a great trip!!
@@ThePortLowdown Thank You. Super excited. Think Ill arrive in the afternoon.. Should be less crowds by that time.

Just a note on the chaotic traffic at Port Everglades... its been that chaotic forever!! P.S. Loved your tips for Boston. Plan to use them in soon.

What time did you get to the airport after debarkation?
