Warzone is the worst thing that ever happened to COD. It brought in a surge of new players who don’t even know what COD is supposed to feel like, and now Activision has contaminated every single mode trying to maintain those players. There used to be a certain feeling you got with these games, but at this rate it’s never happening again.
Been saying this shortly after Warzone came out. Now it has a Monopoly on the BR and Zombies for all cods n its horrible. Covid shutdown pumped the numbers because everyone was home and they thought it meant it was great. Nope. So stopped playing 3 years ago.

We have to realise that Zombies isn’t made for og zombies players anymore, especially now the DLCs are free cos it just doesn’t bring the money in that it used to. Warzone is the cash cow so everything is made for Warzone players, and a lot of these guys are new fans that aren’t used to zombies and they’ve essentially made it easy mode and way more casual to try get these guys playing it. I understand from a business point why we’re never gonna get zombies like we used to, it’s just disappointing to see it end up like this.
I’m convinced there will never be another Origins. A map so desolate and haunting with so much character. Zombies has fallen victim to monetization. The undead is dead now.
To be fair when bo2 came out people hated transit and the base maps but then they made mob or origins people praise it as the best zombies of all time, just saying the game isn’t even really out yet and you never know what could happen.

Not to be mister negative here but I don't think the map on it's own can save the feeling of this zombies mode. The problem is that it's all run on a Warzone package now, with Warzone style mechanics like the points and all the items and salvage drops etc, the gunplay, the unlocks and on this map even the whole atmosphere. That feeling is not going to change just because the atmosphere of the map changes, it's still going to feel like you are playing Warzone with zombies. It's never going to feel unique again.
@@worstenbroodje6832this is so true. The plating mechanic is so bad, Idk why we have to manually plate, it just takes away from action and slows the pacing down. Also I think salvage is a valid feature, but we should be crafting stuff that belongs in zombies not scorestreaks. Like keep the gersh devices/ monkey bombs but for more exotic items, why not reuse assets from past zombies like the gorod flame thrower or put in narrative that some items from the aether storyline still connected like imagine being able to craft takeos katana or the apothicon sword and they're limited in use.

Remember the urgency of praying the box gave you a panzer killing gun on origins before round. 8 or you were pretty toast? Remember 3 hits and your down. Remember zombies used to be a challenge. If you didn't get pap by 20 or 10 on some maps, it made it extremely hard. Now its like, well, you have the option, and all of them are easy. No luck based, no barebone spawn in. No theme, no creepy atmosphere. Honestly this would be fine but at least add a "classic" mode. Give it some soul. Every map used to feel so unique now you cant tell one grom the other. Dont get me started on the stale ass dialog

I hate the start of new zombies starting from Cold War where they are talking to like a command team or operator. The older titles felt scarier because it felt isolated like you were alone.

We have to realise that Zombies isn’t made for og zombies players anymore, especially now the DLCs are free cos it just doesn’t bring the money in that it used to. Warzone is the cash cow so everything is made for Warzone players, and a lot of these guys are new fans that aren’t used to zombies and they’ve essentially made it easy mode and way more casual to try get these guys playing it. I understand from a business point why we’re never gonna get zombies like we used to, it’s just disappointing to see it end up like this.

I’m convinced there will never be another Origins. A map so desolate and haunting with so much character. Zombies has fallen victim to monetization. The undead is dead now.

Not to be mister negative here but I don't think the map on it's own can save the feeling of this zombies mode. The problem is that it's all run on a Warzone package now, with Warzone style mechanics like the points and all the items and salvage drops etc, the gunplay, the unlocks and on this map even the whole atmosphere. That feeling is not going to change just because the atmosphere of the map changes, it's still going to feel like you are playing Warzone with zombies. It's never going to feel unique again.

Also I think salvage is a valid feature, but we should be crafting stuff that belongs in zombies not scorestreaks. Like keep the gersh devices/ monkey bombs but for more exotic items, why not reuse assets from past zombies like the gorod flame thrower or put in narrative that some items from the aether storyline still connected like imagine being able to craft takeos katana or the apothicon sword and they're limited in use.
At this point all i want is a BO1 and 2 remake…
They will find a way to messed up those remakes up

Remember the urgency of praying the box gave you a panzer killing gun on origins before round. 8 or you were pretty toast? Remember 3 hits and your down. Remember zombies used to be a challenge. If you didn't get pap by 20 or 10 on some maps, it made it extremely hard. Now its like, well, you have the option, and all of them are easy. No luck based, no barebone spawn in. No theme, no creepy atmosphere. Honestly this would be fine but at least add a "classic" mode. Give it some soul. Every map used to feel so unique now you cant tell one grom the other. Dont get me started on the stale ass dialog

I hate the start of new zombies starting from Cold War where they are talking to like a command team or operator. The older titles felt scarier because it felt isolated like you were alone.
Don’t forget the cornball ass dialogue and the fact that all of the characters interactions made you the player feel like you weren’t in the drivers seat so to speak and just there existing
