  • This breathtaking coastal ride along the Ross of Mull offers an unforgettable journey through one of the most scenic corners of the enchanting Isle of Mull. Known for its stunning natural beauty, this route offers mesmerizing ocean views as you follow the shores of Loch Scridain, a spectacular 15-kilometer (9-mile) sea loch. The journey takes you along a single-lane road, where-despite its narrow size-you might be surprised to encounter double-decker buses navigating the route. Along the way, you'll pass through the small town of Bunessan, with opportunities to admire the shifting tides and the peaceful coastal scenery. The terrain is mostly flat with a few gentle climbs, making for an enjoyable ride. As you reach Fionnphort, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of the charming Isle of Iona just across the water. A final turn to the left leads you to Fidden, where white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters provide the perfect spot to pause and take in the beauty of the Hebrides.
In this video, you’ll join a ride alongside a trained cyclist. If you'd prefer to ride at your own pace, see the details below on how to do so using our indoor cycling app, Open Road.

    Just add music:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is outstanding. But with music, opinions are very mixed. So we have added no music. Instead, we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute RUclips and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, RUclips, etc.) pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride. We have left the original sound of the ride out. This is because of the noise from the surroundings down the natural sound.
