  • This is another amazing stage, riding alongside the side fjords of Iceland's majestic Ísafjarðardjúp, the biggest fjord in the country. You continue along the Hestfjörður, enjoying amazing views of the snowcapped mountains and glaciers of the Hornstrandir Nature Reserve to your north. As you climb the hill to the next fjord, Seyðisfjörður, the panoramas continue to impress. Further on, the fjord of Álftafjörður reveals the gorgeous Valagil Waterfall. After a long ride, you reach the first village in some time, Sudavik. Just around the corner awaits the city of Ísafjörður, the largest town in the Westfjords. This cultural hub, known for its fishing industry, marks the end of your ride at the harbor.
In this ride-along video, you ride at the speed of a very fit cyclist. If you want to ride at your own speed, please look below for how you can make that possible with our indoor cycling app Open Road.
Take your indoor cycling to the next level with our indoor cycling app Open Road:
Dive into an immersive indoor cycling experience with our training app ’Open Road’ for Windows. The app transforms your effort into speed and lets you ride the ride as if it were a real outdoor ride. With the app, you get a better and more realistic indoor cycling experience compared to our ride-along videos on RUclips. The app is compatible with all ANT+ cycling devices, including smart trainers, power meters, and speed sensors. Athletes with spinning and exercise bikes without ANT+ compatibility can control the speed manually and enjoy riding with all the important cycling data such as altitude, distance, speed, heart rate, etc. displayed during the training session.

    Just add music:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is outstanding. But with music, opinions are very mixed. So if you do not like the music we added, we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute RUclips and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, RUclips, etc.) pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride... We have left the original sound of the ride out. This is because the noise from passing cars, vibrations from the road, wind, and the rider's breathing drowns the natural sound of the surroundings.
    Terms of use:

Great scenic route, but why the classical music? Give us real sounds of the road 😊

Hi John, thank you for your comment. As written in the decription it is not alwyas possible to include the natural sound. That is why we always suggests to add ones favorite music to the ride.

PSSST….. nobody listens to classical music while cycling. Your better off making them like you use to - SILENTLY
Your videos are best listening to Freestyle music but that’s just me.
