The best game I have played this year. Should absolutely be considered for "Game of The Year" .
Eyy I just came back from watching your lore video of it not too long ago. Can't wait for your cover of this!
@@atlassarnosian555hopefully coming soon!
It's sad that these games are somewhat slept on in the wider gaming community. They are honestly the modern day portal games, and definitely surpass them in a lot of ways.
Unfortunately no nominations or mentions whatsoever at the awards, either because it's too late in the year for it to get picked up due to release date, or because it's not something that the wider audience is interested in.
Either way, at least there are the few that know of the standing ovation this game so rightfully deserves, what a triumph!
@@cobalttj6356well said. I agree completely. Puzzle games just aren't as popular I guess.
It was robbed, unfortunately. 😢
I absolutely adored the first game, and have sunk ~450 hours in playing, replaying and finding unintended solutions in the game, RtG DLC and all the custom campaigns in the steam workshop. It was my favourite game of all time. But the second one is also a pure masterpiece, it just needs workshop support to completely surpass the first one for me.
Or at the very least a hard Road to Gehenna-like DLC, so 8:40 is all I needed to hear
450 hours is long even for an mmo lol. Btw I played the game again before this released and I couldn't remember the solutions, so it was like a new game.
I agree on a harder DLC. I’m almost 100% done with TTP2 right after getting 100% on the first one with no guides or cheating by looking stuff up, same for RtG, and the new game’s puzzles are tremendously easier. My favorite aspect of the first game and DLC was finding ways to jailbreak the puzzles and get all of those insane stars. The new star system is more akin to a Mario game and is mostly straight forward and formulaic. I hope they take their time on the DLC and really crank up the difficulty to the first game and beyond. Respect your audience!
@@itsd0nk Too much difficulty and it moves many people away, including me. I was relieved to hear the team strives for balance, that explains its success.
This game is life changing, very well made, amazingly written and I don't think I came across a single bug. Great job team!
This game absolutely blew me away. I loved TTP1 and it was one of the most meaningful games to me ever since. The sequel absolutely lived up to the expectations, with a new refreshing touch :) The soundtrack is just as wonderful, too!
GIGACHADS made a GOTY. Everything is up to 11/10
This game is already an all-time classic.
Loved the first game. Had no idea there was gonna be a second one until the day it was released. Surpassed all expectations. A heartfelt and thoughtful work of art.
I love the nuanced yet positive look at humanity, discovery, change and exploration. Spreading the light of consciousness in the universe is a lovely and wholesome goal.
Like 10 hours in. I really think the puzzles are great in this one. They are fun to complete. Love the music too.
Immediately pre ordered the first second I could. First one was such a gem
very good game, thank you for making it, I really appreciate it!
I appreciate the honesty, saying they removed the really hard puzzles from the base game so we get them for the DLC. The expectations gonna be huge!
Also this one dude already talked about Talos 3. Bruh chill out!!😂
Yes, there were just 2 things that I didnt love about this sequel. The stars and the lack of harder puzzles. The stars were mostly way too repetitive and easy, with the exception of a few (South 2 area showed potential). In Talos 1 I had a sense of accomplishment whenever I found a way to get some star, in here after the first few stars it felt more like work. You knew right away what to do to get the star, just had to run around the map to find the tools to do it. As for the difficulty in puzzles it mostly felt like green/yellow difficulty from Talos 1, which I guess is better for mass audience and Im sure there are a lot of people who found even these hard enough, since theyre not that much in puzzle genre, but I wouldnt mind having at least a few more optional harder ones, especially since they added the option to skip some puzzles if you collected the flames. So hopefully Talos 2 sells well enough, so we dont have to wait too long for the DLC.
@@hapcinazdravie yeah the whole process of going to a new place, solving stuff got streamlined a bit too much. In Talos1 there was a sense of unpredicability in how many puzzles/stars there was, even the level sizes varied much. Now you go "ah yes, follow the 1 to 8 trail, and discover the lost puzzles and lab somewhere along the way, repeat" Also always the two statues of Prometheus and Sphinx got pretty repetitive. What pissed me of the most is that the Prometheus statue rewards you a star, and NOT a flame, even tho the stuff comes right out of his flaming torch.
God, yet I still love this game. I respect them so much for being so consequent storywise. They could've easily done a "whoops, Athena needs further AI calibration. Lets throw her in another reused Agypt map inside the simulation and bore her to death with more Bible quotes" No, they sticked to the Ascension ending and brought it to the logical conclusion.
@@hapcinazdravieI agree but I’m just glad there’s nothing like the one puzzle that required you to scan a qr code (the qr code didn’t even work for me and just gave me random numbers) one of the worst puzzles I’ve ever seen in a game. Too bad to since the other star puzzles were good but that one was so bad that I looked a decent number up since I didn’t trust the game after that.
I LOVE TTP2 so much, I can't believe what a monumental achievement it is.
Thank you for putting so much work into this game! And thank you for pricing it so fairly!
I absolutely loved The Talos Principle and was suspicious of this new version. It's wonderful! Just different enough to stop me from constantly comparing, but similar enough to make me feel that I was continuing the game.
I hope there is a developers' island in this new one. I truly enjoyed visiting that in the first game. I'm still in the process of collecting stuff, so maybe I will find it.
Big thanks to Croteam. You have given us another excellent game.
Words can not describe how grateful I am for the amazing experience Croteam has delivered with The Talos Principle 2. So let me just say this: thank you, thank you, thank you ❤💯
I noticed the Pink Floyd style guitars, particularly in the Southern sections. Freakin' awesome!
This game reinforced my love for games! It's the package of TP2 that works like a charm. Puzzles, story, world building, sound - they all come together so well! Thank you, Croteam! Thank you!
Best production quality in a puzzle game since Portal 2, utterly phenomenal.
Loving this game so far, just about done and have thoroughly enjoyed this much anticipate sequel. Admir casually dropped the words "Talos 3"...so yay. And Toni seemingly confirming DLC. Bring it on
I want the DLC and workshop support so badly. I can't help but see the potential for brain-melting puzzles.
absolute masterpiece! thanks to all the creators of this game, I had a lot of fun playing and completing this game. The years spent on the development and testing, I can only imagine the hard work which went into this game. Thank you Croteam! Thank you Damjan for the amazing music!
3:48 There's a certain scene close to the end of the game that reminded me so much of sunshine I'm glad to see it getting mentioned directly
Thank you so much for this game. We waited almost 10 years and the result is absolutely fantastic.
I hope this series will be continued in one way or another.
Thank you Croteam and Devolver Digital for this amazing piece of art! ❤
I loved the first Talos Principle and I’m thoroughly enjoying the sequel.
It’s an outstanding journey, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who loves playing some weirdly thoughtful games.
It was a masterpiece. Kudos to the team not only meeting the expectations made by the amazing first game, but surpassing it in ways I couldn't imagine.
I jist love those documentaries at Croteam, i've been loving there games since Serious Sam 1, that introduced me to video games.
Now the showed once more than they are a talented team, able to create dumb fun shooters as well as deep engaging and beautiful experiences.
Can't wait to see what's next
It was a great idea to release a demo. That's what sold me.
Just finished this game and it really was great. There are a few things I didn't care for but you can tell a lot of love went into it and I really appreciate that. The world design is mind blowing.
Woah did not expect Damjan to look like he carries his car to work lol
He did a fantastic job. I especially love that plook of laying down the hole creator item
Just finished solving the puzzles in World 1. So far an amazing successor ! Love the mystery and interaction with the other robots while exploring the world !
I was waiting for this game for so long. big fan of serious sam and croteam
Great content, thank you!
Nice video, both informative and entertaining.
Talos 2 is also very good.
Masterpiece game 10/10 ! Great job team.
Talos 2 is an outstanding game, looks and sounds beautiful, the puzzles are fun, I found the reading/talky bits a bit of a slog, but for people who have not explored these ideas extensively in other media, then I can understand why they were presented in such an incremental fashion. For those that particularly enjoyed the ideas around the question of determinism, human nature, the brain and the mechanical nature of the universe, Dr Iain Mcgilchrist, has some brilliant talks on RUclips. Even though there are utopian themes in the game and this gloss of optimism, the way every conversation that takes place seems like the robots are walking on eggshells, gives the whole thing a creepy 1984 vibe - like no one dare have anything but a very polite and "constrained" dispute for fear of getting detected for "wrong think". Being a fan of thought-provoking horror games, like Soma for example, I could easily imagine this story taking a dark turn. Well done Croteam!
Cant wait for the dlc!!!! Gaming industry take notes... Or not as long as Croteam is making games!
Game just finished.... I am more than pleased with it, GG DEVS !!!!!!
Yes, please put all the really hard puzzles back in for a DLC! Can't wait.
this is what i waiting for, thanks to croteam to making this beautiful piece
Awesome game.
Honestly, best game of the year.
Just 2 notes:
1. You need to fix the log text size settings. If you set font size to "huge" it only affects the old terminals text.
2. Most of the puzzles were not that hard, specially the stars. I hope the DLC give us the real deal ;)
Gold gate is quit hard tho
@@565blade no, basically as hard as the rest, that's the only disapointment i have with this otherwise awesome game
Idk, the rest was easy yes but gold one is hard @@tjcraft7233
So you r telling me that you did the all gold puzzles eyes closed?@@tjcraft7233
Thank you⭐
27 hours in, and i haven't gotten everything yet, this is one of the best puzzle games i've ever played in my life.
Definitely for me best game of 2023 ❤
(Even if i have to pause between the antigrav puzzles thanks to my motion sickness -.-)
I heard third person view is helpful for people with motion sickness. Could be worth a try.
Loved this game!!!
amazing game keep making talos principle titles
Don't get old😭
Honest one of the finest games I have ever played, fingers crossed for DLC
both games are first class!! a VR version would be awesome
Talos 1 was great. Talos 2 is a triumph.
Just finished it, truly a wonderful game - the only things I miss from the first game are those longer puzzles like crater and star puzzles which required to bring stuff out of the puzzles
yeah that was pretty much the only thing i missed too. the stars are still pretty good, but not quite as fun as the first's were. otherwise the game is just incredible
Спасибо вам за эту игру! Она потрясающая! ❤
OMG - Damjan is in this one!!! I actually see him and hear him speak!
I NEEEEED the harder puzzles please!
This game is amazing. When the DLC, I want more and more new, more difficult puzzles ;)
Level editor!
“Sunshine, Interstellar, old Star Trek” ... oh yeah, I knew these writers and devs were on my wavelength 😂.
This game is blowing my mind just started second play thru for some new endings
Always looking for Easter eggs in these videos for their next serious Sam game 😂
Give that man more room for his legs!
I *knew* the soundtrack took inspiration from Steven Price and Gravity, huge fan of both :)
I do miss Ancient ROMAN EMPIRE Environment, that was in Talos I in Talos II .Per heps you can still bring it there
I finished the game is just under 35 hours. It was quite the journey. Definitely worthy of game of the year title.
A little slow but not horrible.
@@Physics072 By finish, I mean 100% all achivements.
Overral, TP2 is way better and bigger than TP1. But there is a vybe of mystery in the 1 that can’t be reproduced in the second opus
7 months in and no dislike. Let's keep it that way.
At this point I want the Talos Principle 2 DLC more than I want the Elden Ring DLC. I need to see all of the new elements pushed to their fullest potentials in harder puzzles.
Please tell us there will be a Talos III 🙏
То есть примерно так может выглядеть новый сэм?
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Loved Talos 1 and 2. One question:
Why do you have splash water effects in the ponds/lakes in talos 1 but in Talos 2 with its superior Unreal 5 graphics have zero water effects when you walk in the water. Not even a ripple or wave. Whats up with that?
i was so sure BG3 would be GOTY
TP and TP2 do something for me that only Portal and Portal 2 did before.
So... it's synths.
Amazing game but sweet lord is it preachy. Was the script written by the WEF?
So preachy, I can't really tell if they are trolling. They are robots, after all, that have convinced themselves they are humans! Take a step back, and it's an out-and-out horror story. A warning against a sterile utopian future created by people which have an entirely mechanistic view of reality, in which corporal humans have been replaced with souless NPC's.
Wait wait……did they say DLC for Talos 2??
Why was Talos 2 not on anyones upcoming Unreal 5 games coming up. Do a search on you tube.
I was looking for a U5 game and looked at like 10 diff videos and lists and none of them Had Talos 2 listed. I only found out from someone that played Talos 1 and told me via word of mouth. I ended up buying Talos 2 liked it so much I bought the original loved that too. Please keep making them, should be listed on ALL UR5 game lists but its not which is a crime.
Is this spoilery? Should I watch it after I have finished the game? :)
There's a few in-game recordings that show partial solutions. Just listen to it if you want to. There's no spoilers/solutions in the audio.
@@Ayymoss Cool, thank you! :3
Iain M Banks wrote the Culture novels, not Iain Banks, but I'll let you off cos the games amazing!
I take my sci-fi very seriously, and I cried for like an hour when I head that Banks had passed, so (respectfully)... from Wikipedia:
"Iain Banks (16 February 1954 - 9 June 2013) was a Scottish author, writing mainstream fiction as Iain Banks and science fiction as Iain M. Banks, adding the initial of his adopted middle name Menzies [...]"
(Glad that you liked the game!)
@@VerenaKyratzes It's so so good, thank you and the rest of the team!!!
GOTY for me. I think it's more of a side-grade compared to the first game, but a side-grade to a masterpiece is still a masterpiece.
My 2 main complaints is that the story was too in-my-face, and that there were too few really difficult puzzles.
It's sad that the game had so little marketing behind it, I hope it was commercially successful. I will recommend it to everyone to pick up some slack for the developers.
Thank, but smooth 60 fps version would be nice. Of both video and game 😅
Wish you could run faster, crazy distance between puzzles. Or just fast travel.
God is real.
I didn’t really think about or really expect dlc for some reason, but I’m excited for some harder puzzles! I really only got stumped twice
