It kind of pisses me off how cheaply the other clone commandos are treated in the Bad Batch series considering they're supposed to be almost close to Spartans from Halo in combat performance which is also why they're supposedly so few of do to how much time and resources goes into each one of them and their armor, but now we're just seeing them all throughout the series like they're just more cannon fodder😑. Based on what were told from lore clone Commandos aren't just built take a hit even without armor they are also supposed to be built to hit back even harder.

On the one hand, clone commando Katarn armor is described as being capable of sustaining plasma bolt hits, as seen in the first Republic Commando novel Hard Contact, and even laser cannon blasts. But, on the other hand, a clone commando can be seen getting killed by a single blaster shot from a B1 battle droid, as shown in the story Honor Bound from the comic series Star Wars Tales #22!
And if you notice all the clones that survive blaster shots are wearing Phase I armor we don't ever really see clones surviving shots in phase 2 armor.
In lore the phase 1 armor had greater protection from blaster fire but has been heavy and uncomfortable, while phase 2 is fixed the heaviness and comfortness but cost of reducing the protection.
Commander Thorn screaming his last words being, "For the Republic." Captain Keeli showing he's downed, but not out, "I'm not finished sir." Hevy straight up answering the droid's question if they take prisoners... Two words to answer that question, "I don't." 99 saying "This was what I was bred for." Him showing although he's defected, he still had meaning to his life. So heroic and shows they honor what they will do to the bitter end Hevy's last words are debatable, but hey. He's always hated the place

Yes, there were a lot of casualties, but many of the clones and stormtroopers are just knocked out and wounded from the force of the blaster impact.

You gotta remeber in this show these are actually Lazer shots, they don't create a wound exactly but more of a burn wound that heals the wound but the person dies from the shock.
I can see this, but this really wouldn't make sense. While nearly all clones die from a singular shot, we see these clones surviving due to cinematic purposes. Where these guys are doing epic last stands to make them look badass or so. Yet in the comics we get to see a phase one (stronger type among the two) clone Trooper helmet (strongest part among the armor set) get absolutely shredded by a simple E-5 blaster.
One thing people misunderstand about star wars is how strong a blaster is. Everything, shield and armor wise, seems weak in star wars, but that is because blasters are OP compared to other universes. Thats why you very rarely see missiles or stuff like that, only for homing purposes or to bypass normal ray shields. Its all because the blaster technology offers the greatest protential of all weapons in star wars except super lasers. The weapons they call turbolasers, arent lasers, its just a name. An actual fitting name would just be super blaster, they are basically scaled up. These Turbolasers can reach and overcome the strength of nuclear weapons while they can fire rapidly. This was so powerful, turbolasers could destroy targets underground. And now imagine the difference in strength, with normal blasters against conventional weapons. They use blasters for a reason. Its because they are much superior to weapons that just fire bullets. A Bullet wouldnt do much against SW armor, it wouldnt penetrate, and even the kinetic energy wouldnt even be transferred into the target, because the armor dispersers energy. SW armor is actually really strong, just not against blasters cause they are insanely strong.
No it is because they are unconscious. While the Empire doesn't value its troops, it works out cheaper over all because clone armour is more expensive, but clones are more likely to die of their wounds if they are conscious for fairly obvious reasons and their aren't exactly many battle medics around constantly. Meanwhile, stormtroopers who are unconscious can be treated of their wounds after the battle shifts further away from the area, which saves the valuable medics from being targeted by the enemy or just being caught in the crossfire.
Dosent clone armor hold up tho? I remember hearing something about the armor does protect them from most blaster fire, most clones supposedly killed on screen from blaster fire couldve just been knocked down unconscious. In star wars rebels you see stormtroopers hit by blasters but you can still see them moving on the ground a bit

The phase 1 armor was stronger than the phase 2. The reason why they changed the phrase 1 was because clones found it a bit uncomfortable and it wasn't easy moving in it

You know... Now that I'm thinking about it, 99's death was kinda pointless. Sure, he died on the battlefield like a true soldier, but he didn't achieve his objective of getting more grenades. And then the clones survived anyway without the extra grenades.
I see the purpose of 99’s death to serve as a turning point and part of Echo and Five’s journey to become the incredible men they end up becoming. When they first run into 99 again, he asks them about Hevy and when they tell them he didn’t make it, he shows them Hevy’s medal. The look of shock and surprise on their faces is the start of Echo and Fives learning to think about others, and about the meaning that can be found in life beyond training and fighting. They didn’t know what exactly transpired between Hevy and 99 the way the audience does, but they understand that something deeply significant happened between the two of them. So they are very moved when 99 risks his life to help and gets killed. All throughout The Clone Wars and into The Bad Batch, Echo and Fives learn that the important things in life are each other, and that it’s not the Republic they should be fighting for, but each other. The death of many of the clones make indelible impressions on Fives, Echo and Rex as we see in the scene when Rex looks at the holopic of himself with Echo, Fives and Cody and laments the loss of so many brothers. That’s why it really annoys me that the writers of TCW and TBB have never given us a scene where Rex tells Echo about the death of Fives, the brother who meant the most to him!
I wonder how a blaster wound compares to a bullet wound in regards to pain. Considering blaster bolts seem to be pure energy, they should be packing a ton of heat on impact.

Gregor is wearing armor, just the torso plate. And Commando armor is far more durable than normal armor.

Always confused me how it works because Rex got shot miles away in the heart and survived while other regs/clones died in seconds
His pauldron took the bullet which slowed it down and it was 2 inches away from his heart as stated in the video
