Umbara Clones (501st) vs Clones (212th) Battle [4K HDR] - Star Wars: The Clone Wars
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 2 ноя 2023
- An edited sequence clip of the most brutal campaigns in the entire war, taken straight from the beautifully remastered 4K HDR Clone Wars Upscaled Cut, "The Battle of Umbara Film Cut"
A full 4K HDR (and 1080p) upscale of the entire series, also taking all but 9 episodes and re-cutting them seamlessly into feature films for every single arc. Have a favorite arc? Order 66? The Rako Hardeen Deception Arc? Mortis? The Nightsisters? Yoda's Journey? Maul's Revenge? This project converts the entire TV show into the definitive theatrical experience, perfect for your nice 4K HDR theater setup.
I have also reordered the episodes to fit a (mostly) chronological order based on the entire series official order list. This fixes many, many continuity problems for those who get confused when they watch it in viewing order. There are some minor alterations to the official episode order to make these arcs work as films, but any changes to the official chronological order are small (Putting Maul's Season 4 and 5 arcs into a single epic 3 hour cut, moving the lone episode "A Friend in Need" up a bit in the timeline to fit with the Heroes on Both Sides arc. Making Cad Bane's seasons 1-3 arc into a single supercut). The rest of the alterations follow the official continuity order (2 season 1 and 2 episodes are now part of the extended Clone Wars Theatrical Film Cut due to them being part of the Battle of Christophsis, ect. ect.) and greatly enhance the show's viewing experience.

One of the worst tragedies in war It’s when you shoot your comrades by mistake, whether by accident or confusion.
That’s an unfortunate reality.
That's actually happened irl during the Aleutian Islands campaign in WW2. The fog was so thick and Allied intelligence said the Japanese were hiding in the hills of Kiska island somewhere. Unbeknownst to the allies, the Japanese abandoned the island 2 weeks earlier. The Canadians ended up shooting at American forces in the fog and the Americans returned fire thinking they were Japanese. 32 people died and 50 people were wounded. While the enemy was hundreds of miles away.
@@MrJames1034 I know that story, it was a very unfortunate event for the allies.
@@MrJames1034do you like Star Trek? Because interesting fact you know Scotty from the orginal series was actually the victim of friendly fire on D day he was walking amongst some trucks after they landed and a Canadian thought he was a German sneaking in and opened up. If I remember correctly he got hit like 5 times but managed to fully recover
@@Agente6231 You keep saying "Unfortunate". That's not Fortune, that's tragedy and not understanding your surroundings.

This isn't surprising they abandon eachother all the time in their battles against all their enemies
This would be traumatizing in real life. To be tricked into shooting your own men by a general that defected to the other side. These men were tricked into shooting their friends, their BROTHERS. Having the innocent blood of their own brothers on their hands will haunt these mens’ dreams for the rest of their lives.
And the fact that their clones makes you think that you're killing yourself
I bet Anakin was seething when he heard what krell did to his men. He’s lucky Rex got to him first
That would have been a really good scene to see.
I wish part of the arc was anikin finding out and then making his way back to umbara against the Jedi council to clap up krell. Idk how that would have been written but that would've been an insane showdown
I never thought about this but your right he must have been super pissed if krell was still alive I can guarantee anakin would want to have him executed

And again, all because of an evil third party manipulating them.

Honestly, if the chip thing wasn't canon, this would be one of the many reasons why the clones would have executed order 66 without doubt
I like how even though the fighting against the Umbarans was brutal, it was mostly because of their strange vehicles. And as soon as a clone infantry unit engages another clone infantry unit the real brutality begins. Shows how dangerous the clones really were. And both units reacted extremely quick and aggressive to each other. We didn't get the 212th perspective, but I suppose not long after the 501st reported heavy casualties, the 212th also reported that as a lot of them died on screen as well. Also the dead bodies and wounded after the skirmish.
Shooting your own allies is a nightmare scenario from all perspective possible and it happened it real life
Back in WW2, the Japanese took an American island, after months of preparation the American along with the Canadian launch an attack on a foggy day only to realize after hours of shooting everything that they've been attacking each other, the Japaneses had already retreaded from the island weeks ago
Dear god.
That really happened. When the fog comes more confusing and anxiety to attack your Allies by mistake it’s very sad but even so the Japanese left that area because lot of spooky not to mention cold and harsh conditions.

I agree, the clones committed a military crime by executing a still serving senior Jedi general, whose fate was to be decided in the presence of the highest command and the Jedi council.
The most heartbreaking scene in the entire show. Full stop. 💔
I love how well Dee Bradley Baker’s voice acting combined with the animated expressions of the clones sells the true tragedy of the situation.
Rex finds out that the clones, his brothers, are firing at each other unknowingly; and like any good brother would do, he puts himself in direct line of fire and into a position with a higher rate of being shot and killed than the other clones taking cover. He doesn’t know why they’re firing on each other, he doesn’t understand yet that their general betrayed them, but the only thing he does understand is himself and his brothers are gunning each other down. He screams and yells frantically at his brothers as he runs by them, telling them in short, clear sentences to us the audience, but unclear sentences to the clones he runs by on what’s happening and who they’re firing at.
Although we the audience understand what’s going on, the other clones that hear Rex as he runs by either hear an unclear message or hear nothing at all and so shots continue to be fired from both sides after the big reveal. Rex tackles Cody, who’s in shock as to why Rex tackles him. Cody questioning how Rex is there and why, not yet understanding what’s going on. Rex takes Cody’s helmet off before pulling him up and frantically shouting and spinning in every direction with Cody in his arms to show the clones of the 501st and the 212th that they are firing on their brothers. After the troopers we see stop firing on each other, shots continue to be fired as the message has not reached all the clones on the field yet. The utter grief and despair as the gravity of the situation finally crashes down completely onto Rex’s shoulders drives him to his knees as he tries to make sense out of the whole situation.
The expression of horror, disbelief, confusion, fear, and grief are perfectly encapsulated in a single minute.
The shock in there voices, the swelling and sad music, the clones seeing each other face to face ...... waxer, this is great story telling.
Pong Krell would have been interesting seeing him against a Jedi
212th are under Kenobis command. he probably sent a message to them and informed Kenobi before heading out. makes me wish we wouldve seen Kenobi give the order to arrest Krell for treason. but Rex deciding himself was still a good call too
I would love to know how Obi wan would react to this
He'd somehow would've held onto his restraint. Anakin would've just sliced Krell in half and be go on to his next mission.
NOT WAXER! NOOOO
Waxer was a sad death man😢
Genuinely cried
To think that if Rex waited a little longer to take his helmet off, there was a non-zero chance that the next shot would have hit him, and if his brothers didn’t hear him say ‘they’re clones’, Pong Krell would have won Umbara
Kind of nuts that scenes like this were basically voiced by one actor. Dee Bradley was crazy good
2:06 why were the 212th troopers at the back not shooting? Did they suspect something was off before they got gunned down?
Idk who youre talking abt but
Umbara is INCREDIBLY dark. Even nightvision somehow struggles to increase visibility.
@@magmaticgames nightvision as I understand it works similar to heat vision. Given that umbara is a planet with literally no sun reaching its surface, not only do you have basically no natural light but you also have basically no heat.
@@LucyWest370 Night Vision has nothing to do with heat. it takes whatever ambient light there is, which Umbara has very little of.

I know this is one of the worst things to happen to the clones but I find it absolutely hilarious that all the 501st guys are all different and special and all the 212th guys are literally the same character model
Is no one gonna talk about how the music captured the shock and the trauma that the clones felt once they realized they were shooting at each other?

Pong Krell is right up there with Umbridge in my opinion. Screw that guy!😤
This situation comes up way too many times in RL conflicts, probably more than most countries like to admit, there's the obviously made Aleutian Islands campaign (which the examples made left out the previous engagement from the other island since the incident happened on the second one which is why people were on edge) but then there also the blue-on-blue incidents in the Vietnam war.
Damn, sometimes I forget how good this show was.
This is the saddest scene in the entire series
It's terrifying. Imagine seeing your brother face as he die by your hand

The Clone Wars is so much better as a prequel than the movies
Revenge of the sith was the best of the trilogy
You appreciate the prequel trilogy as a whole, Especially after everything Disney pulled out of their asses to make the sequel trilogy a thing. At least George Lucas had vision for what to do!
@@Noremac25 A great tv show doesn't make the prequel movies any better.
Or what? If disney made a TV show like Clone Wars set in the sequels and it was good, are you going to start thinking the sequel movies are better now???
@@boshwa20 I'll never find myself liking the sequels anytime soon because Disney/Ryan Johnson/JJ Abrams committed so many unforgiving war crimes to Star Wars Lore & came up with the WORST storyline follow-up to ROTJ & made joint efforts to make Rey a protagonist, thus throwing Luke Skywalker straight under the bus (who allegedly from George Lucas was supposed to be 10 shades more skilled & powerful of a Jedi than he was in OT).

I hate that krell died, such a waste of an interesting character. Would have loved to see him wielding red lightsabers as dooku's apprentice
Agree. The screenwriter simply killed the overpowered character, otherwise he could have killed Anaken.

@@chopper3940look mate as much as I hate anakin fanboys enough with the stupidity Anakin bullied the embodiments of the dark and light side he would demolish krell
@@death-nm7hr Let's start by saying that neither Value nor Darth Vader reached their maximum potential.
Correctly compared to Anaken, Krell is a Jedi master, a weapons master who is exceptionally skilled in close combat and reconciling forces, was able to create his own fighting style. Krell is physically stronger, larger, his dexterity, due to his size, is simply enormous and, I would say, higher than Ahsoka's and slightly short of Yoda. Krell's physiology is really something: having a second pair of hands gives a huge advantage even when attacking even defensively, Krell is 100% fluent in form 6 Nyman, theoretically knows the 7 Ju-yo uniform, knows Jar-Kai and the two-blade sword fighting style. All these styles are aggressive and often prevent the owner from using force, but having a second pair of hands changes the rules, even in Krell's aggressive stance can use force, but Anaken won't be able to do it.
In general, Krell is simply stronger in most respects, even power abilities due to the fact that Krell clearly live longer and has the title of Master of Arms is clearly larger, Nockrell is inferior in overall force, but even so, Anaken still did not reach his full potential, so he has no potential on the outcome of the battle.
I even tend to think that Krell could easily join the Jedi Council, but because of his character, he wouldn't have made it, and only 2 Jedi from the Clone Wars, Yoda and Windu, could fight on a par with him.
@@chopper3940 are you stupid krell was defeated by clones Darth Vader has slaughtered entire armies single handedly and he's supposed to be weaker than when he was Anakin are seriously saying that krell is more powerful than someone who literally bullied the embodiments of the force into submission this was before he reached his potential Anakin could legitimately kill krell with a thought especially if he's angry and don't use the size and strength bullshit because Palpatine took on both maul and savage oppress who were clearly physically stronger than him and he made them look like incompetent morons
Casually putting war crimes in a kids show.
Russia or Ukraina 😢 the brothers kill each other on the orders of the leader
I hate Krell as much as the next guy but I really don’t think he did anything wrong here.
He receives a message saying that the enemy is taking clone weapons and armor, and then tells Rex to inform his men that the enemy might be disguising themselves as clones. He then informs another squad of the same thing and sends them to reinforce.
That all seems reasonable to me.
Waxer messed up and had his men start firing before determining if the other guys were clones or enemy. It’s his fault, not Krells.
. He orchestrated the whole event to get both units to attack each other. He alerted the sky corps that someone had taken 501st gear and weapons then waited for the corps to report in. He then sent in the 501st to basically slaughter each other. This was not an accident this was a deliberate attempt to get them to kill each other and slow the invasion
Krell sent Waxer and his platoon to that specific coordinates to WAIT for an assault from the enemy that was using their own amor and guns. Then out of nowhere a bunch of 501st appear and you order to start firing as told. Without thinking your general was gonna betray you like that shooting back for 501st soldiers is the obvious answer.
Okay here's something that I've NEVER seen asked. So people blame krell for this whole shit show, but what aboutbthe clone that called it in? Was he working woth krell ir dod that actually happen?
