Phase II armour was just more anatomical and lighter than Phase I, not stronger. It was easier to wear. That is why Rex chose to weld the old Phase I plates into the new Phase II armour he wore from a certain point in time onwards. He also continued to use a rangefinder on a stalk on his Phase II helmet. Most likely because that old targeting system was in some was better than the new one.
Not necessarily, it's been said in multiple Star Wars encyclopedias and the old Visual Dictionaries that the Phase 2 was not only more comfortable but also more protective against ballistic/shrapnel and a little more blast/heat resistence. As for Rex merging his helmet, that was the stupidest thing. It's also been said several times (at least in the EU) that the visor on Phase 1 was so difficult to see out of - it would cut their view in half right at the lower part of the sclera. That's why it was a lot easier to see through Phase 2. Rex was kinda dumb for doing that but I guess he wanted to "honor his Mando heritage". Aside from the elegant look (personally I do prefer Phase 1 over Phase 2), Phase 2 it is a complete step up in every way.

2:33 I never understood how the Kaminoans didn’t human anatomy. So they had the technology to create an army of clones and advanced cities but not a machine that can measure a clone’s body to create a suit of armor that fits properly
I like the 1.5 armor most. Blitz, Havoc and Colt were Badasse and they looked badass in this armor. Tho it is really cool that 2 of them died by defending their home planet Kamino it still sucks that we never saw them again after this episode.
9:09 This is plainly unloreful. Rex expresses disdain for the new armour, but he doesn't actually prove it is bad and he claims that the armour is too tight when the issue is clearly that he has put on weight, not the armour. Not only that, but you even mentioned earlier that he preferred Phase 1 over Phase 2 even though the vast majority of clones disagreed with that, so it is clear his opinion really isn't worth much. Wookiepedia clearly states that these are simply their opinions, not that they are somehow correct opinions. Besides, Kanan had never worn battle armour before, so him being a clone war veteran was equally worthless.
Are Stormtroopers clones? Or are stormtroopers mainly just regular humans? Like was there a transition that occurred that there was clones but then the empire didn’t want clones anymore? Thanks!!
Pretty much, yeah(the last one). Basically, the Empire stopped using clones and went to traditional recruitment. A lot of clones ended up training those recruits
Crazy to think a clone armor set with magnetic feet, ventilation, speech stuff, only cost 3k credits. Yet Omega, a little girl, could win 10k in a card game.
I don't think it'd make sense that the Kaminoans would know how to clone, modify, train, and create equipment for humans but somehow fail to create comfortable armor for them. Kaminoans themselves are humanoid, just slimmer, I assume they can just make measurements of a human body and create fine-fitting armor like any clothing-designer today. Additionally there are existing armors in the galaxy to use as reference (Mandalorian) and companies to use for manufacturing expertise or production (you can't tell me no company in Star Wars existence has ever tried to create armor for humans). If there's some deeper in-lore reason for why the Phase I armor didn't meet expectations I'd like to know. But "They just weren't used to human bodies" is a poor excuse. It takes 10 years for a clone to grow (nevermind all the research, planning, development, and production before the first batch was even possible), plenty of time to take any human in the galaxy (or trained soldiers or mercenaries) and give them a set of armor and ask "How does that feel?". Again, terrible reasoning for why Phase I sucked.
Also you forgot to mention the phase 1 armor gave more protection against blasters and kinetic force, though the phase 2 did not offer more guarded plating since it was slimmer and lighter but was more efficient for human anatomy, but the phase 1 still gave more protection against blasters.
The Force Unleashed games are canon to me! For one thing, George Lucas had a hand and helping the developers in their undertaking. After all, anything related to Star Wars had to go through the approval of George Lucas before they were made public.
Ima break this down differently Phase one armor was uncomfortable because Kaminowans didn’t know much about human anatomy or didn’t understand it well so they made clunky uncomfortable armor but it had good visibility. Whereas phase 2 armor was made by the Jedi for the clones so they could customize their gear while also being comfortable and breathable in the heat of battle, but the helmets had worse visibility. “Phase 3” wouldn’t be the empire, but would actually be the stage where some clones would take the phase 1-2 armor and combine the helmets to make the ultimate armor in battle. The colors I don’t know much about, but I always thought the color was meant to reflect the Jedi they were used to following.
Phase lll from the force unleashed looks so much better than bad batches scuffed armor. I get they did it based on the old concept art but that trope got played to death in rebels. We get it. Just because it was the original doesn't mean it was good. That's why it wasn't the final choice Dave.
9:12 captain rex is a great clone but I think he age is getting to him see look where his finger is it seems in his old age he forgot the gun safety rules
I can understand Rex and Caleb(Kanan) and later Luke in A New Hope. I do have a Stormtrooper helmet, and it's almost impossible to see anything. No wonder they missed so much. I prefer Phase 1 armor over any other armor types, but that's only because i'm a Prequels OG, as i were born just in time for the Phantom Menace to come out on cinema. I mostly prefer the phase 1 armor because i honestly think it looks better than the other phases of Clone trooper and later Stormtrooper armors of the Empire, First Order and Final Order. I prefer simplicity and ease of use, even if it's more bulky and uncomfortable to use and wear. I mean, if it keeps you alive, it clearly works, so why change
For once I finally see a video including the phase 3 clone armor. Personally, the clones in The Bad Batch should have been for the clones & for non-clone recruits, give them TK Trooper armor.
Which light saber color did Anakin Skywalker deserve as the prophesied chosen one Destin, to bring balance to the force yellow, purple or white, excluding blue, blue and green
The biggest flaw of it in my opinion is the color, in most environments it sticks out like a sore thumb, whereas B1s are a dull brown color making them a lot harder to distinguish in most environments, I play separatists mostly in Star Wars games except for snow maps where the clones have a camo advantage.
Wait what about hunter's helmet it actually was one of the first helmets in the cannon to look very close to the Stormtrooper to the point it was morally uncanny to the phase 3 clone trooper helmet😊
Stormtrooper armour is not inferior to Clone armour, it is much different though. Stormtrooper armour focuses much more on the technology aspect whereas Clone armour focused on warfare, this makes it very protective but has generally worse tech.
Red five white light saber color meaning it’s a mix combination of purple and yellow balance of both sides of the force light, dark and neutrality of Jedi, sith right
I think they should have just modified the p1 a bit. Instead of making a whole new armor design, what I mean by this is keep the overall platting and helmet design and just change the lower platting and back platting.
I really do wonder how it's possible to have an armour with a weight of almost 40kg if full plate armour made of steel weights 15-25 kg. Not same material, but I thought plastoid would be lighter than steel.
I played The Force Unleashed on the PlayStation and it had the blue marked 501st and the disc stopped working so I stopped playing that game, years later I rebought it and now suddenly the 501st had white armor and the mission changed to day instead of night. I wondered why it had been changed, didn’t like it.
The Caminoans not being familiar with human anatomy is friggin' stupid. They're literally cloning them, if anyone had an understanding of human anatomy, it would be the Caminoans.
Hot take: TK armor >>> Stormtrooper armor Stormtroopers are iconic, no question. But the meaner "faces" and more WWII-inspired helmet design just looks so sleek! They really match with Vader aesthetically! 🤩
Too bad I GREAT IDEAS just don't know how to put it on paper in details. Like the phase 3 armor & helmet could have been kept for an alternate time in the STAR WARS UNIVERSE where the (GAR) GRAND ARMY of the REPUBLIC turns into the (GARA) The GRAND ARMY of the REBEL ALLIANCE. So that would mean the CIS CONFEDERATE INDEPENDENT SYSTEM would turn into the EMPIRE by EMPEROR Thrawn. Wouldn't know what to do the palps, DARTH SIDIOUS.

I would like to see a video about an evolution all Republic trooper armors the Old Republic all the way to the First Order
The biggest flaw of it in my opinion is the color, in most environments it sticks out like a sore thumb, whereas B1s are a dull brown color making them a lot harder to distinguish in most environments, I play separatists mostly in Star Wars games except for snow maps where the clones have a camo advantage.
How did they do the armor customizations in lore? Were all clones just natural handy-dandy craftsmen?
What was the material that phase 2 clone armour was made out of? Was it plastoid?
do you have new mic? the sound is bit dull
but nice video as allways
Wait what about hunter's helmet it actually was one of the first helmets in the cannon to look very close to the Stormtrooper to the point it was morally uncanny to the phase 3 clone trooper helmet😊
Stormtrooper armour is not inferior to Clone armour, it is much different though. Stormtrooper armour focuses much more on the technology aspect whereas Clone armour focused on warfare, this makes it very protective but has generally worse tech.
I wish you can make a video of all First Order troopers types
you should make a podcast id listen to that sm. a star wars podcast would be amazing
Red five white light saber color meaning it’s a mix combination of purple and yellow balance of both sides of the force light, dark and neutrality of Jedi, sith right
Phase 2 is my fav but I like phase 1.5 arc trooper armour over phase 2 arc trooper armour
I think they should have just modified the p1 a bit. Instead of making a whole new armor design, what I mean by this is keep the overall platting and helmet design and just change the lower platting and back platting.
6:35 This is Better Armor
I like the look of the phase 1 helmets best.
I wish that the bodies at least looked different. The only cosmetic change besides the colors is the helmet
Hope you will also make a video about the old republic trooper and the sith trooper(not the red one).
Wasn’t phase III just tk armor but a little different?
Phase two armor was actually weaker, hence Rex splicing together his two suits to get "the best of both worlds."
makasih bang, jawaban yang gw cari" selama ini sudah terjawab berkat konten mu, terimakasih
I really do wonder how it's possible to have an armour with a weight of almost 40kg if full plate armour made of steel weights 15-25 kg.
Not same material, but I thought plastoid would be lighter than steel.
what's with the weight of the P2 armor?
How come ARC troopers phase 1 helmets look like phase 2 helmets?
Do you have permission to use mandalorianbusiness art for the thumbnail?
if i remember correctly phase one was stronger than two
I played The Force Unleashed on the PlayStation and it had the blue marked 501st and the disc stopped working so I stopped playing that game, years later I rebought it and now suddenly the 501st had white armor and the mission changed to day instead of night. I wondered why it had been changed, didn’t like it.
just a nitpick. gladiators NEVER wore crests. what you showed there was a military helmet of some high ranking soldier.
Phase 3 Gang
The Caminoans not being familiar with human anatomy is friggin' stupid. They're literally cloning them, if anyone had an understanding of human anatomy, it would be the Caminoans.
Hot take: TK armor >>> Stormtrooper armor
Stormtroopers are iconic, no question. But the meaner "faces" and more WWII-inspired helmet design just looks so sleek! They really match with Vader aesthetically! 🤩
So the phase 1.5 helmet was basically just captain Rex’s helmet?
phase 1.5 is by far my favorite.
Let’s go stormtroopers!!!
What’s the point of wearing armor when most clones, storm troopers, rebels, ect just die in one shot to said armor
You telling me he's Lieutenant Rex?🤨🤔🧐
Time to vote was phase 1 cooler than phase 2
(I vote 1 i loved it it was uniqe and it did not look like the stormtroopers)
Are the phase III Clone troopers Canon?
Only the helmet, ´cause Hunter use the same helmet
1:44
Idk why I do this
there's no phase III, they are just triton squad and kashyyyk troopers
I prefer phase 1 only due to the helmet looking better in my opinion
my bad i meant ark not arf two different battalions
I love the phase 1
The phase three in the force unleashed was called kasheyke armor
Phase 2 armor is always on top
I will consider the force unleashed canon over the sequel trilogy
Phase one helmets are the best looking
Phase 1 is my favorite
Remember they decommissioned the clones so not happening.
Anything Disney doesnt exist, in REAL Star Wars.
You forget Katarn class armor
Phase 2 is the best imo
"phase 3" isn't cannon though
