I love all 5 of these places but I'm so curious which one appeals to you most. Which would you pick as your favourite? 🇫🇷🤤🥖🍷🐷☕️🧀 Remember to like and subscribe to show your support - merci beaucoup! 😘
You will find me at my usual outside table at Les Deux Magots in late morning or afternoon. Unfortunately, my favorite newspaper, the IHT, is no longer published in Paris or anywhere. I shall have to find something else to read (and hide behind) the next time I'm in Paris. Yes, it's been too long. You're lucky to be living there.
The people watching when enjoying a late breakfast at Café de Flore - so many elegant women strolling by in heels and handsome French men - oui oui! 😁😎
The Bouillon Chartier is also one of my favorite spot to eat, just so you know however, it has never been a train station, don’t believe what it is written in Wikipedia (at least the one in english, that mistake isn’t in the french language one) even though it kind of looks like a railway concourse, but it’s a former « cartoucherie » a cartridges factory (opened in 1845 and that ran out of business in 1880, till the Chartier brothers bought it and turned it into a restaurant in 1896).
My wife and I've been there twice. I'm from New Orleans a city with amazing food. BUT, oh my god when our french friends said they had the best foods. They weren't lying. I didn't find any place in Paris that had bad foods. Even their American style foods was SO good.
@@EileenAldis You're lovely, intelligent and, most importantly, an interesting woman, Eileen. Were I a hundred years younger, I'd look you up. Aaaah, to share Paris!
Oh my, once again, I am feeling the urge to go find something delectable to eat. I know I won't find any of those amazing dishes in my refrigerator so perhaps a trip to the city is in my immediate future. Great video.
No wonder Paris is a foodie's paradise....I love them all but perhaps a wee bit partial to the train station clock restaurant. So historic. Video brings back great memories and a reminder why it is so popular with visitors and Parisians.
The meal we had at Chartier was one of my favourite travel meal memories. Just the whole experience from start to finish was great. Can't wait to go back another time :)

I hope it won't be too long until you can safely travel to Paris and enjoy one of the most delightful places on the planet (and one of my personal favourites). Compliments ,tres bonne presentation. Great video. We are going back to Paris and to Bouillon Chartier for the fifth time. Un grand merci and take great care
Great job! I grew up in Paris and went to school with the grand son of the owner of Cafe de Flore. There is a second floor where we used to hangout. I love your recommendation about Poilane.
Thank you! That's so cool you went to school with the grandson of the Flore owner. We didn't eat inside on the second floor but I went up to take a look and loved the vibe. I can see why you'd want to spend time hanging out there. I love Poilane so much and always find the staff there really kind. One of my favourite Paris habits is going to Poilane and then walking over to the Luxembourg Garden and eating there. ❤️
Chartier was awesome from start to finish. Can’t recommend enough and can’t wait to return. That sandwich is from our video about 5 foods to try in Paris and it was so good. Just ham and salted butter on fresh baguette. Simple and tasty 🤤
It's so nice to see a video where the presenter pronounces words correctly and gives some history and detail behind things. Too many folks just make videos of themselves eating. As one commentor before me here has said, that smacks of self-indulgence. I just watched a couple of videos today where the people didn't take the time to do their homework, to learn the history, or even how to pronounce things in French, which of course, is only a click away on the internet. That shows a lack of respect, and I know it really irks Europeans, and the French in particular who make a real effort to preserve their culture. You're sophisticated and you provide a lot of lovely detail, and because of that, I have a lot more faith in your recommendations. Also, it's a million times more pleasant than hearing someone mangle kwah-sohn into cro-sant!
Wow! Love the combination of food and history! Can’t believe the Au Pied de Cochon has been open 24/7 since 1947, that’s so cool! Thanks for another great video!!!
Thanks! Yeah, it's pretty amazing that they literally haven't closed ONCE in more than 70 years. That's quite a feat, especially in the restaurant business, I'd say!

The pink piggy restaurant is something right up my alley! So many great restaurants in Paris... as I imagined. I hope to eat at that outdoor cafe someday soon.
Very glad I came back to revisit a few of your videos yet again. Paris looks like a definite 'bucket-list' type location, with several spots as must-visits while there. I can only imagine how much so many of those amazing restaurants have to be hurting through all of this right now, and eagerly waiting for when they can open back up to everyone, and people able to travel to Paris as well to taste & see everything. A great Caffe Latte & Creme Brulee together would be so yummy, (great choice) at the one spot.
I can also recommend the Bouillon Pigalle. The philosophy is the same and the food is delicious and affordable. We queued for an hour to get in and didn't hear a single English-speaker the entire time. It was worth the wait!
