Thank you for watching! Hope you'll give it a try! Comment down below what you think of it and let me know what you wanna make me do next!
How long can you keep the caramel tins afterwards? Do you need to store them in the fridge?
Mortar and Pastry I will try it tomorrow ma'am😋 I will let you know.
Is it safe.?
Thanks awesomely explained! TO DO? Hummm ....The delicious crepes that go so well with Dulce de Leche!
You are great at teaching!
the different time of cooking and outcome is really helpful, we know the right consistency of the dulce de leche.
Thanks I'll certainly try it. As for those who are giving out safety/health warnings about cooking in the can. My mum used to give me cook in a can sponge pudding and I'm still alive and kicking 50 years later!!
Sure youre alive but big step closer to diseases such as cancer.
Quit being ignorant.
@@fatherlandchild2780 but that's how manufacturers process some of the canned foods in the market. They already put the food inside of the cans, seal the cans, and subject it to certain hot temperatures to sterilize and preserve them. It's important to remember though to always consume everything in moderation.
@@kristiana21 yeah it is called pasteurization if im not mistaken
@@LuminousSpace Umbrella term is "Thermal Processing." Pasteurization is a type of thermal processing mostly done in milk and juice products.
My mom did the same and I’m dead so…
Important Tip: If you want to make dulce de leche using this method, ALWAYS keep the can submerged in water to prevent explosion. If you want extra safety, use a pressure cooker where the lid can lock and secure the explosion if it were to happen. Third degree burns is no fun people
Haha! My dad is Argentine, he made that mistake before Bc he didn’t fully semerge, it. He still dosent and it dosent explode!
Thank you for this video. I've watched about 5 others and none of them were as helpful and precise. It is important to mention any small steps so your kitchen does not blow up
This brought back memories of my mother doing the same thing and loving the heavenly taste !
I remember when my lola always cook this for me when I was young. I missed it so much love you lola
Thank you for the vid. Thank you for taking.the time to show the progression of how it looks being time to longest cook time. Thank you
We usually do it like this:
We put tap water in a pot together with the cans and wait for it to boil and when the water starts boiling, we start a 5 hour count.
Such a delight! One time I made it and let it cool till warm and when I opened the can a bit of the dulce de leche flew in my eye. Next time I punctured the can and boiled it with water till 2/3 and covered it since the can was poked on top and it worked. No flying dessert.
Thanks for the video. Great to know I can make great dulce de leche at home
Watching this brings back the time may dad made dulce de leche back in 2006 brings back memories
That is the real “Dulce de Leche” I was just thinking about it, good with everything,. Very important forget about the diet!!!!!!!
That's not dulce de leche, I hope one day you can try real dulce de leche
To avoid chemical from can leeching into the dulce de leche I suggest try this:
Pour the condensed milk into a glass jar then boil that. Glass is inert material and very safe for cooking! Hope this helps :)
Hindi po ba yun mababasag?
Hindi po! After boiling do not submerge the hot jar in water, let it cooldown naturally around 2 hours pwede na siya hawakin.
Hazel Ngujo better mayonnaise jar or mason jar po dapat makapal
😂😂😂😂
Saraaaaap!😍 kaya ko ubusin ang isang can hehehehehehhe
Panotice po ate shanta💕🤣

Are you Filipino?
Meili S yes po!!! Proud to be Filipino!
Yummy makagawa nga...
Galing ,thanks
I’m doing this right now, an hour and a half to go!
I'm currently doing it right now with our extra condense milk left supposedly for our Macaronni salad from new year 🤣
Thank you for sharing.
I want to try it. But for cooking it for 3 hrs.. how much gas will it consume,?
ayan yung pinapahid sa kotchinta! 😍😍😍
So this is called Dulce de Leche?. . . This is how I cook my yema. . . Soft yema. . . But without the can. . . I just pour everything on a pan.
Cancerous daw ang ganyan na procedure. Mas OK ung sa pan iluluto.
Sabay sa suman kapag nagluluto si Inay. Masarap...
Thank you for sharing. Wanna try now
I'm doing this rn so wish me luck! 😁
Madami daming gasul hahha :) Btw thank you for this . I'll try to make sample for business 101
hello..im currently trying it now..if ever ill run out of lpg...will it be ok still if ill continue boiling it again whenever the delivery arrives?
How long does it last? Thank you.
Masarap to sa kutsinta
It worked. Thank you!
Glad it helped! ❤️
Hi. I want to try this but what I have is milkmaid full cream condensed milk. Will it work?
thanks for useful idea
I did this but in a covered pressure cooker for just 45mins to 1hr and it turns out well...
Boiling? Hindi b sumabog?
Do i need to refrigerate this after opening?
Thanks i love it ❤️🧡😊
Thank you for information 😊😊😊😊
Question po. 3 hrs pong naka open rin and gasul?
you can do it in 40 minutes in a pressure cooker. you do the same way it's shown here, but you'll close the lit of the pressure cooker, high heat and leave it for 40 minutes. Same results, less time.
Wouldn't the cans get too much pressure inside? Since pressure cooker's heat is a lot higher than that of ordinary cauldrons?

@@Aedii-chan no, we do it like this here in brazil, Nestle even has the directions on the can for people to do it.
@@Aedii-chan here I am after 2 hours : after all the pressure was gone after the cooking process, i removed the lid of pressure cooker and let the can (which is in the water) sit and cool down in the cooker for 1 hour. Then I opened it and was indeed dulce de leche. The condensed milk got caramelised and cooked and the can didn't burst (I was extremely worried about this). Amazing recipe
Thanks for sharing
I have my own way of making a dulce de leche, i just discovered it accidentally...surprisingly it turned out great.😊
YesWeCan how?
@@charocruz8320 I once transferred condense milk to a jar with lid and leave it refrigerated for about 24hrs, it thickens and tastes something close to like yema and/or dulce de leche. Albeit it was only once not twice. 😊😂😅
But seriously just try it. 👍😘
good day po ilang days po expand life ng recipe after mabuksan?
wow is that so easy my friend
Pwede po ba ito ilagay sa chiller? And how many days po pwede iistore bago gamitin?
Hello! Yes po. Transfer to an air tight container and can store up to two weeks in the fridge :)
Thank you so much po God bless ,😇
Hi, i want a fairly thick dulce de leche, i am going to be using it with chocolate to make truffles, so it needs to be thick/firm to hold its shape. How long should i cook it for to make sure that it is fairly firm?
So I opened the can...can it still work?
What if I just open it and pour it in pan and mix till it golden brown ..I think it's easy and less gas consumption
Ah tatlong oras pala Yan. Gusto ko pa nman Sana magawa🤣
I've tried this, and it really works [
I followed the procedure pero malabnaw ung kinalabasan nung sakin. Pinakuluan ko for 3hrs. Ano po kayang mali?
@@micahgrace2399 maybe you used evaporated not condensed
Hi. Pwede bang hndi muna buksan ung nilutong condensed sa lata for week?
How many days will it last if the can was already opened? And how many days will it last if its not yet opened? Thank You so much
Sarap nyan pang palaman..
Or if you're lucky like we are in South Africa, they are already made like that and you can buy them from supermarkets. Saves a lot of time boiling them yourself
We are lucky haha
We have it made in the can here in the U.S. but it's twice the price...and I'm too cheap! 😆😁
I think you can buy Dulce de Leche already done pretty much anywhere. I know the can's say to NOT BOIL, and everyone brings up health issues which perhaps if you did this all the time it could be potentially harmful. I know my grandma use to do it this way too. For whatever reason doing this old fashion way just taste so much better than buying it already done. They're both good but this way its just more delicious and when you eat it warm... so delish! And this is not something we do often at all. Years will go by before doing it this way, most of the time when I do get the craving I do buy it already made.
For kutsinta po 🥰
Thank you so much.
ilang days po ba bago ma sira or need e chill?
Going to try it out looks delicious
Masisira ba kagad?? After buksan?? Kailangan b ilagay sa ref??
The cans of condensed milk in Australia advise not to heat the cans. This would be due to safety reasons.
Reign Loren overcook napoo pag ganuun
One of the reasons is because if opened prematurely after the dulce is made, you'll literally have boiling hot caramel coming out of the can. Although that's just a though as to why, I'm in america so what do I know?
mr. applejuice I was think this warning was there because either heated metals goes into the milk or perhaps the inside of the tin is lined with chemicals not meant to be heated??
boiling in high heat might cause the can to burst that's the only issue. my mom used to cook in a can that feeds a family of 6 we are still alive and no health issues whatsoever ...
My mom used to do it like this.
is it safe po ba to boil the can? no chemicals or something?
Thank u for this video. 😊 I really love dulce de leche.
Hello. Ano po ang pwede ko gawin? 3 1/2 hours na po sya boiling sa low heat pag bukas ko malabnaw pdn.. what to do po? Pwede ko kaya salang ulit kahit open n ung can tas half nlng ung can na ilulubog ko?
Sarap..mmmm
do you know the shelf life of this in refrigerator and freezer? thanks
How long does is it expires? or can i store it for 1 month?
Hi! Yes it will last longer as long as the can was not opened. I stored mine for six months actually unopened and its still good to be used. But once its opened, transfer the remaining contents to a separate jar and place it in the fridge. You can store it there for a month and use it when a recipe calls for dulce de leche. Hope this helps, thank you for watching!
Mga ilang days po ito magtatagal?
Can i use this dulce de leche in my leche flan instead of caramelized sugar? I"m hoping you can answer my question. Thank you😊😊😊
Ubos ang gas for 3 hrs pde b sya lutuin sa ulingan?
How long its life shelf when its open
Wow
Mganda n lng ilagay at iluto sa kahoy pra tipid s gas!
Pag may sobra po pwede paba gamitin? At saan po tamang ilagay yung sobra? Hope you answer my questions😊Thank u and God Bless❤
Hi po yes po transfer to a tightly closed container and although longer ang shelf life nito dahil matamis, I would say use within two weeks stored in the fridge :)
@@MortarandPastry thank u po😊
I ate so much bread and toast with your dulce Le Che recipe, thank you for ruining my diet😭😭😭😋😋
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
Sarap yan, sa suman, kutsinta, papakin haha
Can I use this as cake frosting po?
Hi po you can use it po to flavor your buttercream for frosting or use it thinly as a filling. Using it on its own though very flavorful, it can be too sweet for your dessert :)
Thankss
Do you need to use pressure cooker
When I pull them out of the water should I be hearing the milk slosh around or does the cooking time coagulate it?
so yummy
We call this colak in our baryo.
Colaktite
Wow, as easy as abc ika nga, thanks 😊
is it ok to just let the can soak until the water cool in?
I let it boil to low heat for 3-4 hours to make it more toffee like texture
I followed the procedure pero malabnaw ung kinalabasan nung sakin. Pinakuluan ko for 3hrs.
And let it cool to room temp bago buksan.
