lets not beat around the bush here. i'm not silencing buttons and stick cause my opponent can hear my attacks through headphones. It is to make it so my wife hates my hobby less.

Is there an octagonal, one piece gate from Sanwa now?

    • @dawie4853
      @dawie4853 7 лет назад +1

The 2 piece is perfectly fine. Superglue can also turn it into a 1 piece if you feel strong.

have you try an optical stick/Silent HayabusaHBFS30-g2 silent buttons/ ?

Why use switches at all, Hall Effect sensors are guaranteed to be silent. Or go for the even older solution and run leaf switches.

You should get a better arcade stick with a lower profile and without a wobbling surface

I have bought this stick and I have a question.
Can you buy just the PCB part of the joystick with the microswitches?
Cause when those brakes down over time it would be cheaper to buy just that instead of a whole new joystick...
So is it possible to get that somewere?

    • @eljaykooljay

I was wondering the same thing. Did you happen to find a replacement PCB assembly for the silent microswitches?

Raith Alghul I believe Sanwa restrictor gates, octagonal, circular or otherwise, are interchangeable with this particular model.

BTW, does ANYONE sell a six-pin harness for silent/optical joysticks?
I know Hori has the option for them in their PS4 joysticks but do you have to mod your existing harness?
I know with the Brooks Fighting Board PBC it has a VCC terminal that you can use to power an optical joystick.

i have the original madcatz te stick, the one with the white sides, and it was fine until about a week ago, now i cant jump left or right just neutral jumps over and over, so now im in the market for a new stick, i believe the one i need is a JLF-TP-8YT-SK, but would this silent one work, or what about the many other JLF sticks, if someone could shed some light i would appreciate it, im not sure what one to order and i would hate to order the wrong gear

This Sanwa Silent JLF Joystick (JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK) is direct replacement for the JLF in your current Mad Catz TE. Here are some others that would work/fit:
      - HORI Hayabusa Joystick - shop.pe/G2PrF
      - Sanwa JLF Joystick (Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT) - shop.pe/ejf0S
The JLF-TP-8YT-SK which you mentioned earlier would work, but it doesn't come with a mounting plate. You'd have to swap the mounting plate from your current broken JLF to the JLF-TP-8YT-SK. The problem is that the screws that secure the mounting plate to the JLF are often really tight, and in some cases, will strip causing further headaches. I recommend the JLF-TP-8YT because it's only $2 bucks more.
      Hope this helps! ^_^

MashPotatoSauce Hey - in this particular video, I'm using Sanwa OBSC-30 buttons. They look cool and have a different feel as opposed to traditional Sanwa buttons. You can find more info here - shop.pe/gAfMZ

Generally I find tactile feedback to be more reliable, it should be quicker, only available to the person using the peripheral and doesn't distract from in game audio queues.
