Hi what if after Maki g it to the final 3rd round and the employer writes to me to tell me to keep waiting and it's been 4 months what do I do. The employer writes to me every two weeks to let me know that a decision has still not been made. I have asked them to reject me or to Co firm if I have the job but they just keep telling me to wait. What do I do
@@gone.golfing In many cases, no. When they are posting positions, they are seeking to interview for the top candidate. Pay attention to job openings that are open only for 3-7 days, however. It’s positions like that, that likely already have someone identified. Good luck to you!
My advice: These recruiters are paid to respond and reject to emails. If you had an interview and haven’t heard back, then follow up with an email. Again, if they don’t respond simply leave their asses alone. They are not interested. There are other employers/recruiters who are willing to give you a chance.
I interviewed for a position that i really want last Friday. I contacted HR the following Thursday and they said they were finalizing interviews that week. I am currently unemployed and I in need of working asap. We're now at Monday and im scared that they won't extend me an offer. My interview seemed to have gone really well. The interviewer said she liked me and that I was personable. So ive been worried especially because i saw myself in this position. They even said they wanted interview me for a different position because they thought id be a better fit. Im worried and kind of sad. So im trying to be hopeful. Thanks for this video 😊
So, I had a phone interview, an in person interview with 3 people. Then a very challenging assessment then another in person interview with an assignment. I was told I would hear by the end of the month. I sent thank you notes. Then, crickets.... did not hear from the recruiter so I reached out to the recruiter via email. 4 days went by without a response. Then, I saw they reposted the same job, but, they changed the title! At that point I called and left a voice mail for the recruiter. No response to my email or voice message. Wow. Just surprised that they didn’t bother to send a reply to say I am no longer being considered. What happen to reputation concerns. Just seems like their hiring process is quiet extensive. Simple closure saying thanks but no thanks would be considerate.
Tamera, thank you for sharing your story. I'm sorry that you've experienced this. It is common for recruiters to repost the same position (but typically with new requirements) and to not get back to those who were interviewed previously, unfortunately. I do not think it is a good practice at all, but it is reality. Here is my rule of thumb. I typically try following up three times in three different ways over the course of three weeks. If I don't hear anything after that, I will move on.
I had an interview as an internal employee with another hospital in the same hospital system. We had a two hour interviwew and it became a casual conversation. I felt I had this job in the bag. 2 days later, still nothing. :/ Not sure how much longer I should wait and follow up.
I have been job hunting for 14 months I graduated last year and have applied to over 200 jobs and have interviewed with about 10 companies on sight. I keep getting called to interviews and making it through rounds and not getting offered anything. I have gone to a career coach, practiced, etc. and still keep getting interviewed with no offer. I am just about tired of applying to jobs and ready to give up but I know I must keep going.
Leah just getting to the interview is a great step! a lot of people don't even get that far, so you are already doing a lot right. was your career coach doing mock interviews with you and preparing you for all the questions that you were asked or did they fall short on showing you some things?
@labor gains my coach I feel like he trained me well. I have gone on a lot of interviews this year and I am just really fed up because I feel like I’m doing everything I can but still not getting the job offer. I have revamped my resume, gone to an interview class, done mock interviews, etc... ???!!!? It gets really frustrating when you keep going on interviews and keep getting rejected I feel like it’s starting to take a toll on my self esteem. I am really just tired.

Labor Gains I always ask what makes an ideal candidate for this role, what makes the role challenging, do they have any reservations about me after the discussion
Haven’t heard back anything however hr sent me a neutral response that they are in assessment phase of choosing a final candidate. They will reach out to me as soon they have an update, what does it mean like what they tryna communicate
As interviewed last jan. 03 the hiring manager sent forms to my references on jan. 5. My references told me they sent their reference form as the same day. Its january 11 and my anxiety is always kicking off 😢😢😢 should i follow up now? What does it mean
so i applied to a job and my interview went amazing but they told me they would call me in a week cause the business got super busy the week i interviewed. What do you think?
I had an interview for an apprenticeship but the interviewer asked if i would consider another job he felt i was more suitable for... do you think this was said just as bait to see of I was committed to the apprenticeship?
Atif, I generally don't think that is the case. Many companies have multiple positions open. Seeing you as a better fit for a different role doesn't necessarily mean that you are not a good fit for the role for which you are interviewing. I also don't see many interviewers testing candidates loyalty to one role. Your job is to ask the clarifying questions before you leave the interview so that you don't have to ponder afterward.
This is a great question, and a very common response from a Recruiter. Recruiters typically have multiple candidates to consider and present to Hiring Managers which can take time in the process. Something to consider, "Did the Recruiter provide a timeline in which you would hear back?" I recommend always asking for a timeline after your interviews. After 5-10 days, It's also a good idea to send an email asking for details regarding where your application stands in the hiring process.
Would you recommend reaching out to the director herself? My recruiter is difficult to reach (phone always goes right to vmail & mailbox is full). Hasn't replied to my follow up email. It's been over a month since my initial interviews & I did all the proper follow up with the recruiter after. He had said that they're working diligently to get me in & I ddi great on the interview, my info is sitting on the director's desk, etc. Now it's been radio silence the last few weeks when he said he'd get back to me on the coming days.
Thank you for your question! If you've already taken the necessary channels to connect with the recruiter, and you do have the hiring managers' information, I would contact the hiring manager directly. Let them know that you were unable to reach the recruiter and was hopeful to gain an update on the status of your candidacy. Good luck to you. Keep us posted.
@@CareerSuccess Hi! Thanks for your reply! Sadly there's no information for the hiring manager, it's a big hospital system here in NY. The only person I can think to contact is the Director of Social Work who was in the interview.
@@CareerSuccess I was able to find some HR staff for the hospital system on Linkedin, however no results. I am going to follow up with the director of Social Work herself since I interviewed with her, to get an answer.

Okay, you haven't heard back yet after an interview but is it really the end of the world? Why do you think it takes so long to hear back?
I got let go on probation period .how can get a quick interview
@@durieldevers735 If you're looking to get another job quickly, the best bet is to work with a temp agency or a placement agency.
