Great video as always! Just a couple of rules notes for the future. Infantry and gun teams begin the game Dug In, so there was no need to roll for the 88s the first turn. Which is good, because you cannot dig in and shoot the same turn. Also when the priests attempted to range in using the grasshopper as a spotter an failed, that counts as their 3 range in attempts. They are not able to then attempt to self spot. Since the mortar in the rifle platoon is just one “gun” firing in that bombardment, you should reroll all successful hits. I’m not 100% sure, but I think the rockets special rule on the Thunderbolts says that it goes against side armor. Bazooka skirts on the Panzer IV would also apply to the “rear” shots from those bazookas since in the game Side and Rear are the same thing.
Thanks for watching! Due to Meeting Engagement, I was unsure if they started dug-in as the first player was considered moved. I thought you could dig in and shoot at your moving rate of fire. Good to know on the artillery. Someone actually brought up the rockets on the side but someone else said it was 3rd edition. All things to help us get better though as I'm a bit of the teacher.
@@MiniatureGameMontage yeah, I had the same thought about meeting engagement when I first started playing, but it really says you shoot at your moving RoF, not that you actually moved. I could be wrong about digging in as I don’t have the rules in front of me at the moment, probably worth a double check. Same about the rockets. I’d need to check the thunderbolt unit card to be sure.
@@MiniatureGameMontage I doubled checked the rules and discovered you were correct about the digging in and moving RoF. Looks like I have been playing digging in wrong, haha! It is indeed moving RoF no matter if you succeed or fail. Also the thunderbolts rockets do appear to just be a bombardment against top armor. I remember what I was thinking of. Someone else tried to use an IL2’s guns against top armor (which is what would be side armor) instead of the bombs and rockets, which is top armor. Good to get those wires uncrossed! 😂 Everything else I mentioned does appear to be accurate though.
Good game just another couple of rule notes the M10s have no HE rule so should have been one higher to hit the 88 teams. Also the blitz order is for the unit not per team so one dice rolled for all teams in the unit not one per team,
Do you use any extra diffused lighting when you film your batreps or just the regular light in your room? going to try to film my first batrep at the end of this month. btw. those panzers look REALLY good. Nice job with the painting.
Hi, before anything else I must say I find these reports engaging, rules knowledge not withstanding. Best way to learn is to play. The first question I have, and I'm willing to be corrected here, is with regards to shooting through tall terrain. My understanding from the rule book is that if something is in tall terrain 5cm or deeper from the terrain edge, then it is concealed unless the shooter and target are within 15cm of each other. In the games I have watched you have shot through tall terrain, usually woods with only a targeting penalty where as I believe that anything deep in the wood or on the far side would not qualify for line of sight.
Thanks, and you are correct. There’s a depth issue for line of sight. When I play a game with my son it’s up to me to know all the rules. Whereas when I play with others I have a sounding board if that makes sense. Still, it’s difficult to play a perfect game. Thanks for watching!
Love your format - really tells the story - top job 👍😁😎
Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching!
I love you present this as sports play by play commentator, it makes it so easy to follow. Best battle reports ever.
😂Thanks! I don't actually try to do that but I watch a lot of sports.
Looks as if your son is ThE opponent. I love it. No matter what his passions become cherish these times! Content is super. Thank you.
Yeah I try to get others to come play but he’s always willing so I’ll take that all day!
Great video as always!

Your FoW reports are always great! Keep them coming
Thanks! Hoping to get more in with our group soon. I'm working on Soviets next.
Your format for narrating the game is "very" helpful 👍
Glad you liked it!
Great report, thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Should have another one in a few weeks.
I really like your format 👍 and your painted miniatures look great!
Thank you!
Love your FOW content! Keep it up!
Thanks, friend!
By the way, playing with your son is a great way to bond. I still play against mine and he is now in his thirties.
That’s incredible. Thanks for sharing. I’ve got some new life goals.
Great lists enjoyed the game. Remember all infantry and gun teams start in foxholes
Thanks! And right, I read too much into meeting engagement for the first player 😂
you do not need to make cross checks on fences, but do if its a stonewall or a hedge
Excellent. Thanks - makes sense!

Thanks! I don't do anything special. I just use what lights the room has. I think at some point I wouldn't mind investing in some proper lighting.
