I'd love to hear Mark explain his strategy and tactics. There were some very interesting moments in which I would've chosen differently but that's the beauty of this hobby. Good to see Mark again too, by the way! Oh and thanks for the length of this video, I listened to it on a long car trip home. Good stuff!
Thank-you for this one. I haven't watched the whole thing yet, I'm almost to the 1-hour mark. I'm pretty new to the game, and while in theory I love the armored rifle company, I am terrible with them. And most battle-reports are basically tankfests and the infantry doesn't do much. Either my infantry sits back in their foxholes on the objective and never gets in the game, or they try to advance and immediately get pinned by artillery or machineguns. You mentioned at about 54:30 the 60mm mortars. Recently I tried out a new tactic with them and it worked splendidly. (but I got lucky rolls for a change) When my platoon was advancing, I left the mortar behind in a position behind a short hedge where he would be hard to hit but could fire without an observer. He was out of command, or almost out of command and would be on the next turn, but that doesn't seem to matter for mortars; they can't move and fire on the same turn anyway. He ranged-in on a pair of German 88s about 28 inches away that were giving me nightmares and killed one, pinning the other. The second one might have died in the repeat bombardment the next turn, but he didn't stick around to find out. So one lucky-but-not-ridiculously-so turn with a 60mm took out a platoon of 88s, and then was still ranged in on that spot as an area-denial weapon. It may or may not work next time, but I will try this again. Before, I had pretty much used the mortar as a useless stand that I could try to reassign hits to.
Thank you for another great battle report. 17:00 I am a bit confused: you shot (rolling 2 dice, but missed) with 0.5 cal MG from M5 Stuart to the German infantry?

Thanks for the game folks. Good to see the 21st Pz Div on the table too.
Great game chaps, awesome looking minis too! Look forward to the next one!
Where can I get that awesome battle mat? I have never seen anything like that before
I believe it is from Front Line Gaming. I really like that mat as well.
Thank you for another great battle report.

What is the size of you table? Ive seen 6ft by 4ft but this looks a lot bigger
I thought Mark played the 21st very well, pack front might have helped.
Nice seeing the 21st and all there fancy equipment
Nice to see. Thinking about getting back into V4. This helps.
Great report - as usual!
Great report guys :)
I liked it very much, thx for the entertainment.
Great game! Beautiful 21th PzD and awesome Armored Rifles!
thank you
17:00 the Stuart ROF with MGs is x5 and they don't have a 50 cal. You cheated yourself! 🙂
Nice Battlereport!
But what is the point level of the army lists?
its more than the usual 100p right?
Thanks, This was 105 points I believe
Yeah 21st Panzer didn't have a lot of heavies, but they were a veteran outfit.
Great to see 21st Panzer.
really great game Germans were tougher than I thought they would be
Artillery is virtually useless versus entrenched infantry. The rules could do with some revision.
Depends on the firepower. I lost alot of infantry in one turn to artillery with good fp
Seek, Strike, Destroy :)
Just extraordinary 💋 💋!! Easy video ranking - Promo-SM !!!
