  • A review of the Neta S, one of the best-value Chinese EVs.
    ********
Unless you live in the handful of countries where Neta sell cars, or you know your Chinese EVs, chances are you've never heard of them. But you should. It wasn't so long ago that Neta only made the quite ridiculous V and the half-decent U, but then they dropped the S on us at the Guangzhou Auto Show and boy is it a sexy thing. An electric, or extended range electric, saloon to compete with the XPeng P7 and Hyper GT, the S is bursting with tech goodies as much as it is heart-stopping good looks. But it isn't just a stunner, it's bloody good too, and features a price tag that'll make you look twice, and again a third time. This could just be the best-value Chinese EV you can buy (in some countries) today.

Tell me about it. I sat in a dealer's Neta V once and it was a pre-facelift version. My god. The dashboard looked like it was an aftermarket part that taxi drivers fit. Watching them recently has been like watching evolution happen in front of your eyes.

Really nice looking car, with great spec. If it comes to the UK, it will be interesting to see what the price will be. IF they could sell it for £28,000 to £30,000 they would sell loads of them, we shall see! A quick question, "The place you were filming - no cars or people"!!!! Like your videos, keep up the good work.

It's a beautiful car and really well equipped. I hope they get to the UK. The filming location was on roads at the back of a kind of trade park, so nice and empty for filming without distraction. Kind of necessary when you're a one-man team.
