    The photo of the (cowboy) is actually an early photo of Teddy Roosevelt!

    At 2:27 under your heading of cowboy, that cowboy is actually future U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt at the time he owned his ranch in the Dakotas. Thanks for the interesting pics and keep them coming.

    Second photo of homesteaders are likely frontier army judging by their coats and one of their belt pouches, if not they’re veterans

      Excellent! Thanks for that information. I wish the LOC photos had some sort of data connected with them. But in many cases, there is little if any.
