What is Dinkum?
Dinkum is a life simulation game similar to games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Stardew Valley. You'll start your new life on a deserted island. From there, you'll be tasked with building up a town to attract new residents! You'll gather resources, befreind animals, farm crops, and build yourself a home you can be proud of!

Such a smart idea to start a new island from scratch. I have been interested in the Dinkum streams in the past, but since I don't play the game myself it was kinda hard to understand some of the mechanics. I think this will be a perfect introduction to us newbies.

So excited about all the dinkum content lately! Since you are trying to be “economical” cooked bananas are great for energy and cooked apples for health. I even use them late game. And be careful about the wary mu nests… they try to respawn when you destroy them but usually end up in the bottom of the ocean somewhere. And they are great for hunting bc they chase you and can run into the traps. And there’s usually like 4-5 in a group for about 8-9k each! Plus eggs in spring. I put fences around the groups and a drop off point. That’s how I made my early game money. You inspired me when I started, so hopefully some of that can help you!
Even though it's boring, the fastest way to get money is fishing at the ocean, cooked bluefish and flathead sell for 2800 each. I can make about 100k fishing until night time. Nothing else comes close for money early game
The map you got is like a mirror image, with the land bridge being the horizontal line in the middle :0 that’s pretty cool

I wish you "Good Luck". Don`t ignore the Gumwoodlogs and the Wattleflowers and plant fruit trees and wattleflowers from their seeds if you cut them down in the wilderness. Go fishing is also good.
