This is one of the things I love about Who. With over 50 years of material to work with, there’s ample opportunity to reference something earlier, which can bring the whole narrative together for long-time viewers.
After this video I'm just impressed by Peter Capaldi. This is the most rock-star Doctor and I really believe in his lines. There was no affectation and extra pathos(over the reasonable)With this actor show was very interesting to watch. So cool!
A little bit silly he says 'nothing's "half-dalek'. the daleks would never allow that." but he has seen that happen like a dozen times lol (daleks from human cells in season 1, dalek sec, dalek oswald etc), the daleks are far more compromising than they like to admit.
@@clawsky123 You're right, even the original daleks encountered those daleks and did the exterminaty thing. Heck, the new daleks did that to the old daleks during 11's!
@@haddy106 but then locked up in an insane asylum, they only wanted her because she was brilliant and more importantly emotional, the Daleks have been known make use of Human children as the central processors of their battle computers, they act illogically and take risks that the logical minds of the Daleks do not take, often leading to victory, they wanted Oswald for the same reason!
To be fair the season 1 daleks were insane, Sec was too smart for his own good and Oswald was converted by insane daleks. None of them are normal daleks
WAAAAIT. I thought they scrapped the idea that the Doctor was “half human” on his “mother’s side” from the movie with Paul McGann???? Is he a hybrid after all????

This video makes me want to watch Twice Upon a Time again. Such a brilliant, emotional episode, and an awesome farewell to a magical Doctor.
Just listening to that music, reminded me of better times.
Turns out the Doctor was sent out to get the high council’s takeaway order and got side tracked.
That's what he was running from. His ubereats reviews.
Dad: off I go to get milk, the long way around. (Sorry I had to)
LoL
Lol.
Excellent!!🤣🤣🤣
The dad's mind before he leave 0:20
"Nothings half-dalek, the daleks would never allow that"
If only the dalek scout heard this before making his gaming pc army heh...
Mum: Hey son, had a good day at work? didn't realise you would get back so late.
Me: I took the long way round

at this point twelves catchphrase should have been 'the long way round'
nah, it's "Clara"
@@Amy-yf9zc nah, it's "I don't know"
More of a Moffat-ism than Who referencing Who.
0:00 -0:18 best ending ever!
Perfect dialogue!

They only do that in survival situations. Not something they’d normally do.

Dalek oswald was converted into a dalek, fully

“The long way round” just sounds wrong, but I have no idea why.

Well the hybrid here is The Doctor and Clara together, not only the doctor
Also “Me” refers to the character “Me”
@@clawsky123 no, it was a throw-off. later they explain it like, the doctor and a human companion is the "hybrid"
@@rakeshpc3599 The doctor doesn’t know that at this point though. He still thinks “Me” is the hybrid.
@@clawsky123 yeah, right. At that point he believed it's her
First scene is the best scene in the history of the show
I LOVE PETER CAPALDI 💛🤍💙💚🧡❤ !
Getting a job the long way round
He conquered Gallifrey and she stood in its ruins.. ;o;
I love yours vidéos
Thought we could have had a telemovie quote in there... :) Half - human?
guys I think the doctor came the long way round
Then along came the CyberMasters
You missed Madame de pompadour
I still fucking love that we got to see the 1st doctor
In that last scene he completely forgot about dalek sec
i love this
Wouldn't the hybrid be either the Master and the Cybermen or the Master and the Doctor?
The hybrid is most likely the regenerating Cybermen/cyberlords
@@allamedits Right. Forgot about them.
I think it was the Doctor and Clara. Missy probably paired them up together because she knew what a great yet dangerous combination they’ll be.
Doctor Donna was my thoughts when watching through
