Aimee, so fun to see you on here again! This looks like such a cool, whimsical technique! Almost like something the teachers would of had us doing in grade school (minus the hot plate)! ;)
You have the best ideas. Simple, affordable and uncomplicated. It really is playful the way you do things which resonates with how I like to do things. I think your art is sophisticated in the way you bring things together. And I love a muted palette with a pop! How cool was that neon pink. So good to see your work again. Yay! Really fun! I tried the first part just making marks on the paper and it is so addictive! I used white too and loved the result! Great idea! Now to stain the papers!!!
Girlllll, I love what you do with everything. You’re a free spirit and so inspiring. Now I wasn’t going to buy another supply and you’ve got me on the hunt for a hot plate/electric griddle.
Wow! Im so impressed. This looks so fun. Such an inspiring tutorial. I’ll have to find a way to melt the wax as I dont have a plate like that. Will definitely try. Thanks so much for sharing!!!
Love it! I am going to try this when I get home! I have India ink but I also have acrylic ink and alcohol inks. I am just gonna ink everything with all the inks and see how it goes! Thanks for the tutorial!
Yay Aimee!! Can't wait to try this out -- now I know what to do with all the new packs of Crayola sets I found at the Dollar store a few months ago. Thanks so much ❤❤❤
So glad to see more of your videos, Aimee❤️🇨🇦

Is this hot plate a special encaustic tool or a little electric griddle? Thank you so much for the video and the inspiration!
Its a just a regular hot plate/skillet for the kitchen. You could used an electric griddle too.
