The servo saver unscrewed itself upon impact there thanks too its lower quality i suppose it saved the servo still lol. The silver ring it's just screwing that down by hand, which you can do without taking it apart by the looks of it. You can try a bit of blue loctite just above the ring and see if it holds it in place better screwing it up over the loctite and then back down too where you want it too sit. Also do upgrade the esc too a 120a or 150a one too run 4s lipo in this. 2150 kv should be a bit better on 4s for a 1:8th scale buggy even rtr stuff just make sure too get one with a programming card available from banggood as well ofc and you can kind of do a mini review of the esc in the video. Hey Saylors! Troy from Troy's Hobbies here! I know you guys have your opinions on ZD Racing products. Just wanted to let you know that I share many of the same feelings about their brand as well. I feel when a person is considering buying one of these cars they should go into it with the understanding that the car is more or less a glorified roller chassis with electronics included. The vehicles are not tuned well or tightened up properly from factory, so always do a full disassembly with their cars. Lock tight everything going into metal and do some good tuning with oils in the diffs and you will have a solid product. Out of the box, though...... lemon.

The parts are cheap but it takes forever to get them. FYI buy more than 1 just in case! I also have that same esc on my truck. I loved it until recently when it started failing. Nice buggy!! GREAT bashing!! I still have my ZD RACING 1/18 4WD brushless yellow monster truck from 2 years ago and I still love it! In that video Abby liked it better than Dromida! Just saying...😊 SLO-MO is good for exceptional, epic stuff that is unexpected, but slow-mo just for slo-mo sake just makes for too long videos. Thanks Saylors for the honest review!! 💟👍😘
No slipper clutch, only has a center differential, it's just spinning the front wheels, need to put thicker fluid in the diff and it will solve the problem
I absolutely love mine!! Only mods I've done to it were the aluminum steering cups because the first 20 minutes I smoked a curb lol!! And took off the stock 13 tooth pinion gear and put on a 16 and the speed and tourqe and considerably noticeable. Always make sure you check your screws. And the front bumper is kinda weak. Looking for a replacement but can't find anything if anyone has somewhere I can go for a bumper replacement.
Hi Saylors. Watched this video with an open mind. I'm kinda partial to more of the racing line of vehicles as opposed to bashing but this is a very good vehicle for the price point. Compared to the Arrma Typhon I think this takes it as everything on the Typhon is a composite material as opposed to aluminum. Shocks, shock towers chassis as well as other parts on the Typhon is composite. Not necessarily a bad thing as it might have a little give to it and take a beating and not break. Thanks for the honest review. Dave
You mentioned you'd link your preferred brand of battery, but I do not see it listed. Keep up the great work, I'm glad to see you guys give every vehicle a fair shake, even considering the past performance records of the brand.
I depends what the slow-mo is. When a car crashes it’s an asset to see what all the car went through. It helps to see how it handles landings and it cool in dirt, sand or snow to see what the tires are actually doing. Maybe a wheelie or a little tire spinning. Just normal driving in slow-mo would get old. Maybe a short speed ramp now and then would be fun.
Great video as always guys! I did want one if these but I choose the vrx racing cobra 1/8 man I would love to see you guys do a review on it I haven't had any issues with it! As always guys I'm rc sailing!

Uh oh,. you said the word without IT being in the video! I hope you guys had a great Xmas! ( It looks like a winner in my books. Sorry Abby ) ( LOVE the slow-mow )
Looks a whole lot like the HSP/Exceed RC/Redcat Racing buggies. Probably same factory. The alloy parts b e n d! The Arrma Typhon BLX is well worth the extra and parts are more available.
Don't worry about butthead peoples comments guys. If they don't like something you guys do then they can just watch something else. I love what you guys do and how you record and edit so more people to ya okay
I personally dont care for a lot of slow mo, but yall don't over do it like some others do. On 1 or 2 of the most exciting jumps or crashes is fine. My problem with the budget Chinese rc's is I cant run to the local hobby shop and buy parts.
You basically nailed it. Break something with this RC and you've gotta wait for parts. It's nice to have a couple other rigs you can run while waiting on said parts. Or, stay stocked up on parts before they break if the budget allows. Very good point. 👍⚓😎
There's no slipper clutch it has a centre diff. The diffs on mine are set up quite nice (I've recently bought the Pirates 3 9020 roller) The rear shocks needed topping up with shock fluid as they were only half full. little bit of 80w and they're good now. The fronts felt fine. The real weak point from what I can see it the piddly little motor mount. It's only held on with two screws to the bottom of the chassis and that also the adjustment and it's moved twice on me now (once at speed which led to a bodyshell destroying crash) I have read though that the mount from the Truggy/monster truck version of this chassis fits. It replaces the rear part of the centre diff 'cage' and is fixed by three screws instead (as the adjustable bit is on the bracket rather than the whole bracket moving) I got one on order from Ali Express along with a new shell. Even with these 'hop ups' I'm still about at half the cost of an Arrma Typhon 3S. and the gearing/esc/motor are handling some 70C 5000 CNHL 4S batts a treat
It's a nice buggy, yet it needs a better brushless motor but hey for the price it's quite good. I've been driving these brushless buggys for a decade and I can tell that it's a good entry in the hobby. Thanks for sharing. Like your videos. Have a nice week The Saylors ;)
Used to glue small earphone magnets on the bottom of my tool tray and use it as a body clip finder(man those was expensive for a 12yr old way back when 😂 but since neodymium magnets are everywhere nowadays I'd suggest gluing it to your ramps and do sweeps with it maybe even attach a but so you can use the tripod as a handle 😋
Yes, slow mo but they can't be more than 3 seconds tops. Looks good. Gives us a chance to really see it. Thanks! I'd love to learn more about the ZD racing "impression". Any other videos where it's talked about?
Guys love the vids but i believe that is a center diff, no slipper clutch. I also have a spot i been bashing at that might work for your videos, up in the west end of huntington. Good vid guys
8th scale buggys dont seem like bashers to me but hey everyone has an opinion and the slo mo is ok Zd racing has seem to come up a lot though I'd love to race it in a box stock race.
I don't think this model has a slipper clutch it is a three differential set up like most 1/8th scale offroad buggies, it is not usual to have a slipper in this scale unlike the 1/10th scale offroad buggies which do have one.
Please Nate stop calling it a slipper clutch,1/8ths don't have them,it's a centre diff. Change the diff oil to 10k in the centre with 5k in the front and 2k in the rear.

That's probably the best driving I've ever seen Abby do,with a Gonzo buggy that she doesn't even like....
Lol😎😆, Andres lobo was cool until the gerbil started singing
I love the slomo shots but I think you should only use them for the very best shots
Love the slow-mo shots
hey rcsaylors did you guys have a good christmas!
Uh oh,. you said the word without IT being in the video! I hope you guys had a great Xmas! ( It looks like a winner in my books. Sorry Abby ) ( LOVE the slow-mow )
I really like the slow mo shots. Excellent review Nate & Abby!! ⚓⚓
As I know there is no slipper clutch on this buggy
Pirate2, piarate3, all the same chassis just change tires, NO SLIPPER CLITCH CENTER DIFF!
Looks a whole lot like the HSP/Exceed RC/Redcat Racing buggies. Probably same factory. The alloy parts b e n d! The Arrma Typhon BLX is well worth the extra and parts are more available.
Slow motion on the jumps and wrecks is cool
How about a best of slow mo reel?
Don't worry about butthead peoples comments guys. If they don't like something you guys do then they can just watch something else. I love what you guys do and how you record and edit so more people to ya okay
Slow motion is great...in moderation. Maybe throttle back on the slo-mo just a little.
Nice driving Abby!!! Some of the jumps over the road looked perfect!!! Your driving skills have improved.
Love a few slow mode shots
Bias is not a bad thing. As long as you’re not lying about not having bias.
Love the channel! Just getting into the hobby!
Hi i just subbed to u yesterday and i like your videos!! :)
An extra $80 for an Arrma Tyhpon 3s. $6 more for a 26 tooth pinion and you're travelling at over 80 mph.
It's a no brainer!
8th scale buggys dont seem like bashers to me but hey everyone has an opinion and the slo mo is ok Zd racing has seem to come up a lot though I'd love to race it in a box stock race.
The slo-mo is great for special shots, but don't be tempted to over-use it as that reduces its effectiveness.
I think that this buggy is good for the price. You can’t find many cheapish 1/8 scale cars. Plus it is 4 wheel drive which is a plus.
Nice guys like the little buggy👍
Happy New Year Saylors!!!! Not a bad looking buggy! Do you tend to jump a little bit to help the ramp of the vehicle? LOL!!! I know I used to!
Lol we probably do it subconsciously 😂🤣👍⚓😎
LOVE the slow mo
Where do you find a slipper clutch on that????????????????
Yes to slo-mo👍
Maybe sometimes the repeating slo-mo gets a little over done?
It’s kinda like a great meal but the potatoes are just slightly over salted.
I don't think this model has a slipper clutch it is a three differential set up like most 1/8th scale offroad buggies, it is not usual to have a slipper in this scale unlike the 1/10th scale offroad buggies which do have one.
Not on every video. But I love slow mo.
Love the slo mo 👍🏾
Please Nate stop calling it a slipper clutch,1/8ths don't have them,it's a centre diff. Change the diff oil to 10k in the centre with 5k in the front and 2k in the rear.
semperatis
I woujd go pretty much similar to the that ,;)
May be 7&3k but 10 in the middle .
@@mark-1rc502 That's the standard beginning set up,but the 10/5/2's Jared Tebo's comp set up.
