Legend has it he is still kicking till this day
These Jehovah's Witness are learning kung fu to get into your house
I'm impressed at how many kicks this survived! Good to see it in action.
Ok im double impressed it's survived the kicks and he did that many kicks
I broke in my own house after locking myself out. I have my own lock pick set I keep in my truck for emergencies such as this and picked the dead bolt but realized I had locked the chain. I simply wedged my body between the door and frame forcing myself inside. Just from pushing. The chain lock gave and popped right open. I replaced it only as a deterrent to make noise if someone were to pick the dead bolt.
Once he kicks it open that much, he can reach his hand in and remove the ring off the door knob.
Imagine the damage you could do to a guy’s hand as he’s reaching in
Or he could just walk around the door! He seems like he has more enthusiasm and endurance then he has common sense.
@@KingOfSorrow1217 especially if you kicked the door closed on his hand... ouch!
You simply twist the ring around one time and it will shorten the chain to where you can't reach in. I know because we tested it on our door. I had someone with very small hands even try and they couldn't take it off either
I have the Strike Plate Lock on ALL my doors in my home LOVE it my mom bought for me. The chain is a little longer so I wrapped it around the door handle so enough to peep through about 1/2" for added security
I just will be on the other side cocked and unlocked waiting.
Would be nice, but the website doesn't exist anymore and can't find anything similar on amazon... 😥
You need to install a cup hook to hold the flip lock "closed" when you have the door unlocked. I was injured twice in less than three years. It happens when you are in a hurry, running out of the house. The flip lock's plate swings out into its "locked" position. It then prevents the homeowner from closing the door. You can catch your hand on it, and be cut. A solution is to install a cup hook into the door moulding. It can hold the brass ring, thus stopping the flip lock plate from accidentally moving into the "lock" position.
That is weird. We have had one of these for over 7 years and I have never experienced this, nor has any of my family members.
There's no need to keep pounding the door. Since it's already opened, you could put your hand in the door & take the chain off easily. Or even cut the chain with a cutter in the doorway. Easy peasy!
Cool product for a great price. $18 bucks
incredible security for how simple and easy it is to use, sure, there are ways around it, but in this price range I could hardly think of a better or easier to use solution then this.
Once he kicks it open that much, he can reach his hand in and remove the ring off the door knob.
@@Floortile83 true but not everybody's going to know how this thing works
@@Floortile83 that’s when you kick his fingers 😂
@@Floortile83 Actually we simply twist the ring around once or twice and there is not enough slack to get in the door anymore.
@@dohc1974 or kick the door on his fingers ;)
Ok, but what if he had a screwdriver.
Slam the door shut and flip a flip lock.
No thief that aren't prepared. Except some really dumb one lol

Door chains are indeed worthless. I had them before changing to better security. My husband thought the door was jammed coming in one day and just opened it hard and the chain popped right off. Scary to think I had a false sense of security all those years.
on their website they have multiple videos and the plants in the clay pots in the background are slowly dying in each video
although he does have a good product
Its definitely good to buy time to try to barricade the door more but because it is so easy to access the screws to remove it it cant really be claimed it can turn a bedroom into a safe room. Maybe a safer room with additional locks but by itself it's not going to keep someone out very long . People are commenting its only meant to be used to check who's at the door. They have peep holes and doorbell cams for that and he specifically said can turn A bedroom into a safe room. But with some tweeking of where and how its anchored can fix that problem
It's still a chain. Bolt cutters. As well it depends on strength and door type... such as most bedroom doors are hollow, very weak. As well, the door frame needs to be strong
You use a deadbolt and that and your not getting through it anytime soon
Wire the chain to 120VAC and have the switch next to the door.
Once he kicks it open that much, he can reach his hand in and remove the ring off the door knob.
@@Floortile83 once he kicks it that much, you already have a barrel pointing at his chest
@@TzUuup can anybody please give me a good website for fire arm purchase!! First time home owner and I don’t know where to get information on where to get one legally
how we do we know they didnt use shorter screws for all the other locks and really long screws for their lock?
Peach Cartel because the actual chain broke on the other ones
Just unscrew it.... The door opens enough to allow the strike plate to be unscrewed
It is only used when the homeowner wants to open the door a little to see who is at the door before opening it all the way. After the 1st kick the door will be closed and locked then the homeowner can call 911. It can't be put in place if no one is at home.
If nobody is around (vacation, deep sleeper) they successfully unlock everything lets say at night time. And figure it out this have a chain thing, they can see its easy to unscrew this thing without breaking it at all to wake up whoever inside or make a loud noise for somebody to hear. Good idea but not to secure on my opinion.
I can see that there's a lot of ways to unlock or unchain or unhook this thing.
Well you can use one way screws
did you see the beginning of the video? it's not meant to be your door's only lock
They can still get to the screws to unscrew it & get in HOWEVER if
you take the long chain place it between the 2 prongs then place on the
door knob there is NO way for them to get in or get to the screws, it
shortens the chain a little & the lock plate stays close to the door
frame. You can do that with the Everlast all you want but a quick as it
took to install thats how quick it will be to get in if you don't use
that device the way I said.
I was thinking the same thing. The screws you installed it with are fully accessible. Worthless.
Unless you shorten the chain like you say.
I like it. Buys you some time. Anybody really committed to smashing in could pick a window.
Why you just dont buy steel Doors?
I’d rather my wife or daughter pull out a gun instead of a cellphone in this instance but hey whatever you feel works.
It is hard for them to intrude when they’re worried about keeping blood in their body though.
this Strike Plate Lock needs to be issued to all schools in america thumbs up if u agree
“tHe sTrikE plAte loK haz nO eqUal” tell that to a 6 inch angle grinder
True, but someone will hear the angle grinder if home. It would be real painful if they were waiting with a 12 gauge or AR-15 on the other side of the door. I don't think angle grinders work well against those.
@@AlbertMoyerJr Someone will hear an angle grinder 4 blocks over lol No one is gonna roll up to a house with a fuckin angle grinder. Not how reality works. They roll up an kick a door, an if they can't get in in a couple seconds, they scat off.
@@DrMurdercock I have seen them cut burglar bars with angle grinders. A lot of people don't check up on their neighbors, but for the most part I agree with you.
@@AlbertMoyerJr I guess where you live would play a huge part, I didn't really think about that, but HERE, if you tried that shit, someone would be asking who you were an wtf you was doing lol
WHERE TF CAN I FIND SOMETHING LIKE THIS IN 2023!?!?
ebay
Looks like they went out of business? What a shame. I watched this video and was like damn I want this.
Once the door is opened, there is no need for force to be applied, simply prevent the door from being closed and then unscrew the 2 screws of the strike plate and you have unlocked the mechanism. Simplistic design that simple criminals won't think about, and will give up on trying to kick in a door, but those who intent to get in will get in. I understand one wants to mass market this product to consumers and it is indeed better then the garbage strike plate locks that any average men using their body could break down. However these sorts of devices really ought to be anchored into the frame if not the concrete wall itself with bolts that are inaccessible by outsiders.
When dropping heavy bag on other locks he "pushes" it gently at the end 1:32, compared to his own lock at 7:14 he just lets it go XD
Good observation. As an expert in security, I can say that this is just an ok product. It can work. But there are better, easier, and cheaper ways to secure a door.
This looks very impressive. But I can think of at least 2 times that I've reached for a doorknob and pulled it off. Anyone installing this product should be certain that the lock set with which they are installing it is well made and in good condition.
You know the deadbolt never actually failed, the cheap ass door did, put that in a nice steel door with a proper frame and let's see what happens
Something is telling me that the screws holding it to the frame are from NASA.
Good idea, as long as you have a round door knob apposed to a lever style entry lock….?
Keeps out: Burglars, cops, swat teams, permedics, fire fighters, and your ex husband or wife
you cant keep out swat team man, they will just shot gun the whole door lock down
@@H_B_R At that point, it's easier and safer to break in through the window.
Talk about doors that open out.
"tHe sTrikE plate loK haz nO equal"
Yea, tell that to the guy with:
• A screwdriver to unscrew the plate
Or
• An electric drill to unscrew the plate faster
Or
• A heavy duty wire/bolt cutter to cut the chain links
Or
• A wire hanger to stick thru the gap in the door and push the ring off of the doorknob
It's actually really sad how easy it is to beat this piece of crap lol 😆
@wackoguywatch right. These haters are funny. When's the mast time a home Invader was this prepared? If they are than they most likely will get in another way. They've probably done some scouting on your home and will have alternate ways
If a home intruder was intent on getting into a house, they will probably find a way eventually. This makes it more difficult for anyone not prepared to deal with it, and it will still slow down anyone trying to get into the house regardless
Looks like an internal door rather than external one.
You can tell he isn't kicking it as hard bc it sounds different. 😂
why dont you replace the metal loop with a locking or clipping carabiner so you can shorten the chain length so that the "burglar" won't be able to just reach in and take it off.
with a lever door handle impossible, with a round door knob you need a very small wrist. if that is a concern with round door knob twist chain twice it shortens chain
Tough doorknob!
Wish my house had triple enforced 2x6's to secure to. Is it just me or could he have reached in and removed the collar after kick 4? Great concept though.
if you twist the ring around once before putting it over the knob, you can't reach in and take it off.
Locks and bolds only keep the honest out, if someone wants to get in your house or apartment they find a way. All this does is give you a few extra minutes to call the cops or escape.
Exactly it’s better than nothing tbh.
Escape? Or enough time to settle in for a battle
I guess you're screwed of they have bolt cutters...
Or a screwdriver, the guy could just remove the strike plate.
Not really. The only time the security chain can be in place is when someone is home and most people won't put it in place until they are at the door to see who's there.
@@danielebrparish4271 yeah by the time they cut that chain with the bolt cutters, they'll be talking to Jesus
The best thing you can do is own a gun and let anyone know on the other side that's it's loaded and ready to defend. Don't open the door!!
This video shows how weak doors and locks are.
Great invention. No argument. If I ever buy a house. I will buy one.
1) Peep holes work. Ask anybody who has ever lived in an apartment.
Or, was smart enough to buy a door with one built into it.
2) I do see a flaw in your design. The ring is not adjustable. Which means if you can not get the door closed. They can remove it. Which means it would have to be on at an angle very tight. I am not an expert, but if you are counting on little old ladies. They are not going to have the strength to stop a big guy like you. Or a bunch of dudes pushing on the door. The ring should be adjustable or the device should be put on tight enough so that somebody can not physically remove it when the door is cracked
He sure was getting a leg work out 😂
well of course u can brake it easily but if you are for example slpeeping nobody cant open your door with the chain is on without noise,it is impossible. So it gives you more time and possibility to fight against assholes vs if you are sleeping or like.
Do these prevent credit cards sliding in there?
I had pain in my legs after watching this
Thank good my front door is made of whole metal
Yeah... But without the strike plate it won't be stopped because the frame will take the energy. Try using 3 inch screws to attach the door instead of 1/2 inch. It's stronger.
Once the door is open, what's stopping a 12 year old child to remove the strike plate with an electric screw driver in 45 seconds?
Am I missing something? I mean, you'll have access to the screws right? For that matter, can you just reach around and remove the ring from the door knob?
Yeah that's enough time for you to retrieve your self defense tools
Hi
Looking for this product can’t find it anywhere do you guys still sell this stikeplatelock
this is awesome .
Deadbolt lock are the best locks not strike plate lock did you screw the deadbolt lock tightly?
Shame the domain name doesn't work anymore.
Door chains are only meant to buy you time, not prevent a break in...
Surprise, I have a punji pit under my entry mat. The cheap chain keeps my door in nice condition.
What if someone just shook the shit out of the door?
Noticed when they tested the 90kg bag. They wasn't lifting it as much as when they did it first.
Hello, the bag is 90pounds or 40.8 kilos, all I can say is the bag hit hard enough to bounce back , thanks
at first, yes but from 8:20 onward he's giving it the same jolt as the first time around with the chain
The deadbolt didn't fail, the door failed. And its pretty clear that the test was designed specifically to help your lock because the outside of the door is metal while the part the deadbolt is attached to is wood. You basically just told us that wood is weaker than metal. Amazing. Do the same test with a fully metal door with a metal door frame. And the intruder has a bolt cutters or angle grinder.
@ THE 3:45 MARK, this is where you shoot the attempted intruder, that is if he didn't attempt to do so first. Get a WiFi video-camera installed in your peephole.
Great product. Could be the difference in having time to react and not.
Someone kicking at the door for 10 minutes may even be long enough for police to show up.
I'm wondering if this device is only strong wth the door already open?
If the door is rammed before it is opened- I am curious what effect the chain has.
Not today. They won't even show.
Just reach in between the door and remove lock off the door knob
Kick the door while he’s doing that to instantly break his wrist or all fingers
Snip snip lock cutter. I think a thicker chain would be better.
Good front kick, dude has some training, lock is impressive to.
For those of you who are talking about opening the door and then unscrewing the plate, a simple solution is to just use security bits instead of regular philips screws.
Bolt cutters seem like a common tool used by criminals, I wonder if the chain can be cut.
@@Mr-E. come on man if criminals are bringing cutters to the job than they want your shit that bad. This isn't gonna be your common home break in
@@TzUuup Bolt cutters are commonly used in break ins. They are cheap and work on locks and fences, garages, bike locks, etc. I think it is reasonable.
Cant they reach in and unhook the loop around the handle?
Samuel Torres no you idoit if they try that their hand will be in the way so they can't close the door and the chain is to short to open while the door is open
Lol dumb comment
Imagine being this stupid.
door opens outwards unlucky
How's his knee feeling these days? 😅
I like this, but it should come with 3 1/2 inch screws and a shorter chain. At any point the kicker and 90lb bag swinger could have simply reached in and removed the ring from the door knob because the chain is too long.
Deadbolt lock are hard to open.
You guys...this could be opened kind of easy but you have to stop kicking lol. I don't know if I should say how to open it on a public forum tho.

I am sold. I am ALWAYS bitching at my parents for trusting their 20 dollar Lowes locks. ONe time, I handed my dad 200 bucks, just so i could show him that a dude would be in, with one kick. We beefed up their door after that. Was well worth it. Im serious, if you care about parents and they're getting older and they can't fight back as well as they once could have, you need to beef up their entry points.
No one wore safety glasses while stuffs are flying all over the place after every kick...
where can I get this in 2021?
It's fairly obvious that the strength of this is by using longer screws, not the actual strike plate lock. You can see the difference in screw size from her removing it vs installing it (3:00) are different. That's where the strength comes from. It is in the studs instead of just in the door jam / molding.
He might as well kick the hinges lol well placed kicks are everything
What if the person trying to gain entree has a screwdriver? I mean it takes little time to install, even less to uninstall I would assume. Once the door is forced open slightly I imagine you would be able to fit a screw driver and unscrew.
That's a very good point tbh...
At that point, the homeowner just smashes the burglar's hand with something. They're not just gonna watch someone uninstall it and not do anything.
MLG R8DR805 or even better have non screw locks
He'd be staring at a barrel as he is unscrewing those screws
Somebody who wants in THAT badly can just bust a window.
all fairness black shirt is pushing/throwing the 90lb bag against 1st door and simply letting the bad go against your product but still a good product and im sure it is as you say but i hav to nit pick somewheres
fair enough, but you can see the door bend but the lock survives from the kicks.

Let’s also take note at the lighter hits in the bag test on the ring lock. He isn’t going as high with it so less weight. The frame isn’t moving as much... lol
It can be uninstalled in 10 seconds
Strike plates are known weak points. Using longer screws after drilling the holes out makes them stronger.
I can not find this lock any where to buy how ever it looks very easy to make with a door hinge some chain and a ring time to try my new welder :)
Report back soon
Most prehung doors aren't so tightly fitted into the rough opening. With any gap between the two, this gadget is less likely to fare any better than any other strike plate. Most users aren't going to pull off the casing and add support between the jamb and studs. They aren't going to install hardened 3" screws deep into the studs. They're just going to slap in whatever screws it came with (probably no longer than 1.25") and it will be only attached to the jamb -- or possibly weakly attached to the stud with the tip of the screw. It's not difficult to split the jamb and send the whole strike plate flying.
If you want security, don't expect a low-effort band-aid fix to make up for a flimsy foam core & finger-jointed door assembly and typical hasty/lazy construction conventions. That said, it's probably better than most chain locks, but most chain locks are product-shaped objects that were unfit for purpose before they even left the drawing board. That's an awfully low bar to leap.
The problem with that is if the door handle is next to a glass panel.
Where can i buy it ??
the URL in the video is wrong. correct one is in the description. just so y'know.
thanks, I will keep an eye on that is future videos. it was one of our first ones we are getting a little better we have several on youtube

I must buy these!!!!
I don't lock my doors..
And I don't care who's at the front door ,when i open it..
Because I am a gun owner!!!!!
Chuck Norris owns 3 of these.
Maybe it's an american thing, but aren't front doors usually opened outwards? I think it's even a legal thing here were I live. But the lock sure looks sturdy and reliable if you have a front door that opens inwards.
not where i live...the glass storm doors open outwards but the main door is always inward.
Deadbolt is pretty pointless... try a multi point locking door..l
