Jake you remember Dusty with “cross Timbers bison”, he’s been having hog issues too. He has been working with an agency that’s helping him improve his pasture native grass. He said the guy told him to take advantage of the rooted up area and spread some grass seed in those areas. He shot a boar hog in the day, it was trying to mingle among his bison herd! Good job Jake, hopefully the others will be bold enough to come back and get picked off. I admire that you’re getting it process for a family in need!
Jake. The safety of you and Alyssa, the animals and all your family there are the most important. Please don't listen to anyone who would take offense to you dealing with the wild hogs or any predator who could come on your property and put all of you in danger. You're doing a wonderful job of taking care of the animals and everything you do.
A trapper can catch over 20 hogs at a time with a large drop cage. They place a video camera and can see remotely when they have the right amount in the trap and decide when to drop. They will continue to multiply and tear up the pasture till there is none. Good luck Jake they are not easy to control it is a major problem you alone cannot control. Either you reinforce fencing or bring in a trapper. Not sure how costly a trapper is but right now this is a huge losing battle across certain parts of the country.

Jake, good luck with the trapping!!! On another subject, have you had Moo examined by a vet or are you considered it? Moo looks like he is still losing weight despite your efforts, there may be something wrong with him that needs a vet to diagnose.

Jake, there was a purpose for his departure. You aren't hunting for sport, or unliving animals just for fun. That's not your nature. You love animals. You were protecting your land and animals, as well as helping out another family. Stay blessed.
I see both sides of this, when contractors continue to build on natures land, obviously the animals need to branch out further for food. However, people would be screaming at Jake if he wasnt doing anything to protect his animals. You can humanely trap all you want, but the threat is still gonna keep coming back....stop the building on natures land
