I love watching and hearing Gunnar work! Gunnar definitely understands the assignment. The raccoon is probably a little relieved that there is a cage between him and Gunnar, because he has to sound pretty scary to be so close. Savy has a good role model in Gunnar. Looks like Moose wants to rumble with the raccoon. I hope none of your fur babies actually fights with one.
Gunner is such a good dog. He is so smart and follows your commands perfectly!!. Now he's helping to train Savvy. Thanks for sharing your video 👍. Enjoy your blessed day XXXO 💕😁
Savvy and Moose need-to be trained and it is always hard discipling anyone. You are doing what is necessary for Savvy and Moose. In the end they will be happier
True, some dogs are born to hunt raccoons and others you can try teaching them, but only if they want to learn, just like humans, even dogs that are put into the field of canine units for police to sniff out drugs or whatever some of them don’t even make it through the training because they can’t maintain focus on a particular subject they would rather play then work. And this is true for seeing-eye dogs and therapy dogs.
You did a brilliant job training gunner from the beginning and savvy will learn to she wants to learn aswell its takes time before you know it she'll be gunner right hand girl all your animals are doing great because they have a great daddy nd mammy caring for them aswell as their sister nd brother b4 you know it jacob jnr will be out there looking after them with both of yous you're absolutely doing great nd have learned a great deal while working with lester nd jamie at the sanctuary nd from your pops aswell take care of yourselves and please stay safe ❤
Gunner is so fun to watch. Takes me back to following my older cousins around and I'd get into trouble for playing with the dogs😅 . Saviee can learn by watching him.
Jake, you’re wasting your time taking the raccoon down to the river because it will just come back home. You need to take it at least 5 km away to ensure that it stays away and makes a new home for itself.❤❤❤🙌🏻
Even if you are teaching her how to chase your teaching her the chase on command not just chase when she want's what she wants. That may stop her from attacking the chickens and Corney.
Nobody should be mad about what you choose to do with your animals Savvy how's the home because of your love can you take darn good care of all your animals you have a lot of patience and time that you put into each and every one of your animals and it shows if someone doesn't like it they can just go elsewhere and yes Gunner is a very well-trained dog anyhow only thing we have a lot of raccoons with rabies where I am so just make sure she's up to date on her rabies vaccine just in case she gets bit by it anyhow best wishes to you and your wife and your baby and your daughter and all your baby animals
Savy seems to want to learn. Gunner will be a good teacher. I still think you need to take that raccoon farther than the river. The trappers around my area always tell me they release at least five miles away
You are doing yourself no favors letting it go right back to where it came from. It will be right back up there. You have to take them at least 5 miles away so they don't come back. ❤
You are doing a great job no matter what it is you understand all your animals and that is all that matters they are your animals keep up the great wirk jake love u and grear family ❤❤❤😊😊😊
Pawpaw was talking about raccoons in one of his videos. He said you shouldn't just release them at the river that you needed to take them far away from the property for your trapping to be effective. Ask him his thoughts.
You Did NOTHING WRONG in Your Working with Savvy, and She Did GOOD, but Your Right, You Should Have Brought Gunner, cuz They Learn Easier By Watching Each Other❣️You Knew It Though When Releasing the Raccoon, so I’m Sure You Won’t Forget Next Time❣️Give Love 🩵 to the Wife and Baby, and God Bless 🤲🏻 Y’all and Your Little Girl Too❣️🥰
Jake I totally understand where you are coming from about the training. My uncle used to train hunting beagles for competition. Us kids were only allowed to play with one of the dogs. The rest were kept out in a back wooded area.
Ignore them Jake, my dog is a lurcher. His breed means he will chase just like a greyhound, he has high prey alert. So he will chase anything from a bee to a deer from instinct.
Hi Jake. Oh, I should’ve said daddy Jake.! Dee Dee from Portland, Oregon. Yes I’m a city person in my heart goes out for the scared little raccoon.BUT I really enjoyed your video this morning. I love dogs too. Love the way they love you.
Farmers need to have trained dogs to protect all the animals also. People may get upset but they also get upset when the farm animals are injured or killed also. You do what you need to do.
Training Hog Dogs is something many people shouldn't watch...but if you are a farm with feral hog issues my dogs were very popular in their younger days...
I really enjoyed this video. I live in a small town, the racoon's go through the ally's with all the trashcans,so we had raccoons, and even attacking cats.My cat was out in my front door,at a stand off,so i yelled for my adult son,he went out and kicked the sucker, the raccoon never came back?😂😂 they are even comming out of the storm drain's 😅 Animal canntrol cant help.😤😤
Before I see anything with Savy, all I’say is it’s possible thinks were done to Savy when she was little that may have influenced her in ways that could impede her learning new ways.
Jake, I live in the city, and we are overrun with raccoons. There is a family of them, roughly 8 (the muber changes each year as they have babies), that lives in my next-door neighbors porch roof. We had to replace our porch roof. They destroyed it. They have also somehow burroughed through a few of my neighbors' rooves to their house. They are so cute but such a menace. We are not allowed to trap or hurt them per the city. We can rent traps from the city only and it is expensive. If they are trapped, the city expects you to take care of it and feed it until they decide to pick it up. It's utterly ridiculous and a scam, imo. The city just wants more of our money. Best of luck with your trapz.
Don't think there was anything to be mad at you, with this video Jake. Savvy does seem to have lots of labrador in her, her love of water, and submissiveness also. Think you'll get there with training but might take a bit longer in the training 🤔 ❤❤❤❤❤
Sorry not going to watch that way I won't be upset. I tried and I know raccoons are a big problem but poor little guy was terrified and you laughed at it's terrier. As a a native american I was always taught to show respect for every animal, even if you are hunting or raising it for food
Taking them to the back is not helping they're just coming back up you need to take them far away to keep them away from the houses and get them stuff and come chickens.
Why do you take them to the river instead of taken them the 5-10 miles away that is recommended of getting rid of raccoons. Especially the mean ones. They say they will comeback. I am repeating what I heard from experts.
Jake I am telling you to just release them they come right back... we had try releasing them they kept coming back and after many times hubby finally had to take them out... might sound sad but, there is so many of them you have to!!! THEY kill all, our peacocks and kill chickens UGH 😮 ... YOU HAVE TO PROTECT your animals and they poop in your animal's food which make them sick!!!!!
Jake, it never gets old listening to your laughter. Nice to train Savy.❤❤❤

Savvy has come so far I love watching her continue to grow and trust
You do what you need to do. Don't really like hunting, but sometimes it is necessary. Love to all.
Savvy and Moose need-to be trained and it is always hard discipling anyone. You are doing what is necessary for Savvy and Moose. In the end they will be happier
Your genuine laughter is so thrilling & heartwarming!

Omgoodness Gunner is a amazing dog... so damn smart. When you talk for him it's like that's exactly what Gunner is saying 😂❤
Good job Savvy. You will learn. ❤❤❤
Him coming to get you was adorable. “Dad won’t know why I’m barking if I don’t do it in his face!” 😂😂❤
Who else is picturing old Dan, in cowboy boots, boxers, and the cowboy hat with a flashlight
Good morning Jake!! You care for your animals the way you want ❤❤

I just love your laugh jake Ngunner is excited 😊😊😊
I grew up on 100 acres and all our dogs were taught how to chase and tree. It was needed . And to patrol the property every night .
Even if you are teaching her how to chase your teaching her the chase on command not just chase when she want's what she wants. That may stop her from attacking the chickens and Corney.
Such a smart good boy
I love when he came back to get you
Priceless moment
Gunner is really a good hunting dog he is smart Jake
Kevin it's your dog and your training. It's okay. Blessings 🙏🫶🙏🫶

Love that you release and don’t kill the raccoon. Your the best
You are doing yourself no favors letting it go right back to where it came from. It will be right back up there. You have to take them at least 5 miles away so they don't come back. ❤
Keep up the good work 👏. Hope you catch the raccoons. Hugs and love to all of you 🙏 💜

Love how you are the voice of the animals lol
Good job Savvy!
Love all your videos
Like Pawpaw said, you're just giving them a ride home if you release them at the river and they will come right back 😉
Savvy is doing a great job with you Jake.
Do your thing Jake😊
Jake y'all did a amazing job 😊
I’m mesmerized by Gunnar’s bark. I’m not sure Savy gets it.
Don’t let the naysayers bother you, Jake. They’re not worth it. Savvy will do great under your tutelage.
Good dog! 🫶
Jake knows what to do❤.

Good Thursday morning 9/5 Jake and Lyssa ☕️☕️🤗🤗
Your right!
Jake I totally understand where you are coming from about the training. My uncle used to train hunting beagles for competition. Us kids were only allowed to play with one of the dogs. The rest were kept out in a back wooded area.
LOL it sounded like the peacock said Oh No after you ssid something took the bate.
My grandpaw raised them. There great dogs.
Ignore them Jake, my dog is a lurcher. His breed means he will chase just like a greyhound, he has high prey alert. So he will chase anything from a bee to a deer from instinct.

Dogs in the country having fun! 😊

I think I am learning to tree raccoons . HOOOWWWWWLLL!
Perhaps Gunner likes torilla and honey lol
Jake, you look very handsome today!
The river isn't far away enough. Raccoons have marked areas & find their way back very easily. Take them minimally 5miles away.
I trapped a racoon in my Houston suburban backyard last week...he was actively trying to get in my hen house 😮
I'd love to cuddle and love on Gunner. I love him.❤
Hi I'm new to your channel I just wanted to say how good looking Gunner and Savvy are 😊
Save wants to learn

Dogs usually learn how to hunt from their momma.
❤❤❤❤❤
JAKE WHO CARES WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAY ITS YOUR DOG.......
Why would people be upset your training your own dogs you done such a great job with gunner sorry but gunner is my favorite
Jake on one of paw paw’s videos he said you have to take them farther away because taken to the river is not far enough away
Lol... My German Shepherd would of went off on it... She was trained to tree up also ...
GoodMorning Jake
Very interesting

It's your dog. Train it the way you want.
Just do like me instead of being a p-pat. Just don’t watch.
I would say it was rats or mice that took the bait.
How do you know if you are catching the same ones over and over?
Train him well.
I'm very curious to know what Gunner would've done if he was there when you let the raccoon go & it stood up to him. Would Gunner attack it or what?
👍
You are right. Not need to post this
Wait did he force you to watch it ?lol
You do what you want to do with your dogs as long as you're not abusing them or starving them to death what year did teach those dogs
Taking them to the back is not helping they're just coming back up you need to take them far away to keep them away from the houses and get them stuff and come chickens.
Shirtlesss Jake I know gunner is a Kuna dog very good kuna dog
Hope they aren’t rabid. That’s all I’ll say! 🐾🐾
I'm still not clear on what "tree up" means. I've wondered for a couple of years now lol!
Hi Jake!
Hey Jaker, you can't make everyone happy
♥️🙏😎☀️😊🌟👍🤱🌺🌹
